Clear filters Buckland Campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Very welcoming staff, the site is a little far from places but was very reasonable priced. It probably needs more toilets/shower blocks.

Superb experience
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 This was the first camping experience for majority of my extended family members and the site exceeded our expectations.
Most pertinently, the washing facilities have had washing liquids and sponges - never seen that before. The site is only 10-15 min away from beautiful coast of Weymouth with easy access to supermarkets and online takeways. Ideal for a group like us who wants to have a camping experience and need regular access to amenities we have at home.

Had a nice stay
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Overall, we had a nice stay.
Our likes were that the service staff were really friendly and helpful. Good location near Weymouth and lots of beaches, things to do locally. Corfe Castle is definitely worth a visit. Site entrance gate has ANPR, so it opens automatically for the car.
Our gripes were that the showers and loos were pretty small and not very well ventilated. The pitches are quite close together so large tents take up most of the room you have available, and neighbours are right next to you.
Friendly campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The owners running the site were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The facilities were in in clean working order continuously (hot pressured showers and washing up water).
The site is child friendly with a little park and a good space for children to play football. The pitch sizes very reasonable (we have a large tent) and had lots of room.
The laundry machines were very reasonable priced compared to other sites I've been too, they also provided washing lines for another drying option. I would've liked to have a better shop on site, a selection of food or a bakery or food vans mid week ect. No alcohol sold on site either, but otherwise, no complaints at all!
It's a perfect location not far from te town or Weymouth but set in the countryside with surrounding fields and farms.
Overall, a very lovely site that we will definitely be returning to.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Location was great, easy access to shops, beach & days out.
Owners were great, friendly & helpful. Facilities were regularly cleaned from offsite contractors. Shop on site had minimal supplies.
Only criticism I have are the toilets. When the doors are opened, they almost touch the toilets! It was difficult to get to the toilet & shut the doors. You had to almost step over the toilet to be able to shut the door. I came to realise this was probably why the toilet seats were all loose, from being kicked trying to lift your leg over them. Anyone who is bigger would struggle to get in or out around the door. My teenagers even struggled. My only saviour was the unisex toilets. If they weren't there, I would have gone home.
Also, the showers are in a trailer, and could do with more ventilation. Hot days were unbearable in them & I nearly passed out on 1 occasion from being too hot & stuffy.

Great stay
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Buckland's is a great site to visit. Large open field with loads of electric pitches and some non. Ian was so helpful and a great host. The toilet blocks were in great condition and the showers supplied plenty of hot water.
Will be coming back again for sure.
Amazing site, will definitely book again
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Amazing campsite and lovely owners. Clean and modern toilet and shower block. Spacious pitches, most with electric hook-up. Site was very quiet after 10pm and before 9am. Nice little shop stocked the essentials that you might have forgotten. Laundry facilities and a freezer to freeze ice packs. Our first time ever camping and we would definitely stay here again. :)

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 A fantastic location just 10 minutes or so from Weymouth. A great site with Wi-Fi included, clean facilities, lovely and quiet with great views of the surrounding area. Will definitely be returning to this site. All the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for you. A nice secure campsite.
Clean, quiet site, would stay again

Booking in was straightforward, although there was a problem paying on the credit card for some technical reason. Pitches marked clearly, toilets and showers nice and clean. Grass nicely cut, no litter. Nice and quiet.
I'll use the site again.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 When I booked the site I didn't know what to expect, but I'm so glad, if you're looking for peace and quiet then you have found it within this site.
I would highly recommend coming here, its a little gem. Showers and toilets are cleaned daily, spotlessly clean, and the couple who run the site are always ready to give advice if needed. A very nice couple indeed. You have a washing machine onsite for a small charge, a freezer where you can store your ice-blocks for your cool-boxes.
Weymouth is a short drive away, or if you're like me I would cycle to Weymouth, it only takes twenty minutes. All in all, I would recommend this site to everyone, only problem is that they close for the season at the end of September.

We considered the site to be kept in very tidy order and the facilities, toilets and showers were excellent and very clean. Thoroughly recommended.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 A beautifully kept site within easy reach of Weymouth beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Facilities spotless! Dog friendly with a designated area to let them off lead. A well thought out little shop which stocked things you may have forgotten, but not at unreasonable prices. Plenty of large stores locally to pick up anything you need.

Lovely showers and toilets. Really good Wi-Fi and also good mobile coverage. Nice playground area and playing field. Couldn't fault.

Lovely campsite
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 First time camping at just a campsite - we usually camp at Haven.
We had a lovely warm welcome from the couple who run the site, they were so friendly and lovely with the children and their dog was very friendly too.
The facilities were clean and well equipped, we couldn't have asked for a nicer site to stay at.
The views were beautiful too, especially the sunset.
The only one thing I found as a negative was the light that stayed on all night right near our pitch, it was too bright, brilliant for being able to see around the site but not for sleeping, unfortunately.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 We were not using this as a leisure break as we were only wanting somewhere to stay for the night after a gig we were playing with at Weymouth Pavilion. But, hey, the place was a great place to stay and there were lots of families obviously enjoying the first real camp of the season. Staff were great and accommodated our late return after the gig.
