Set on the outskirts of the quaint market town of Langholm, known as the "Muckle Toun", this family friendly campsite is part of Langholm Rugby Club's grounds, surrounded by woodland and the Ewes Water River. There are 24 pitches, all with optional electric hook ups, including ten hardstanding pitches with EcoGrids. The pitches are for tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans, with plenty of space to settle in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The camping field is bordered by Ewes Water River, where you can relax and spot visiting wildlife! This is a great destination or stop off point for anyone looking to explore Scotland or England. It's situated at the base of the community-owned Tarras Valley Nature Reserve, just seven miles from the border and a half hour's drive from Northumberland National Park. For cycling enthusiasts, the site is located on the Kirkpatrick C2C, offering 250 miles of uninterrupted cycling from Stranraer on the west coast to Eyemouth on the east coast. The 7stanes mountain biking centre in Newcastleton is an hour's cycle away or 20 minute drive, taking you through the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve. The site also offers a free bike wash and repair station. Four-legged friends are welcome, but they must be kept on leads within the site. There's plenty of space on the rugby club grounds for them to stretch their legs. BBQs and campfires are allowed as long as they are raised off the ground.

Stopped here to see the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve and the work of the Langholm Initiative. Campsite is an easy traffic free walk from the town. Lots of lovely and varied walks see langholm walks in internet or drop into the local tourist off and reserve office on the High Street. Flat pitches, clean facilities and hot showers. Very well maintained. If you are here at a weekend you can also catch a game of Rugby

Ewes Water Caravan and Camping Park was set up by Langholm Rugby Club in 1992 on their old training ground, with the aim of helping secure the club's future. The site is run by volunteers from the rugby club, who take great pride in looking after the site and making sure visitors have an enjoyable stay.

While you're here, why not ask for a tour of the clubrooms and learn a bit about the club's history? Dating back to 1871, Langholm Rugby Club celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2021. It's the eighth-oldest rugby club in Scotland and the oldest in the Scottish Borders, with a proud history of producing full Scotland internationals and British Lions.

Situated at the base of Tarras Valley Nature Reserve, close to the Scottish-English border, this is an ideal spot for exploring the great outdoors! Northumberland National Park is a 30 minute drive away, with hills, wildlife and incredible starry skies.

For a relaxing afternoon, head to the Walled Garden at Arkleton, ten minutes away by car. You can pick your own flowers and enjoy homemade cake and coffee, with the owner always happy to have a chat about the gardens.

If you're after entertainment, The Buccleuch Centre in Langholm is a 15 minute walk away, with events and shows throughout the year.

History lovers won't want to miss Hadrian's Wall (45 minutes), stretching 75 miles from coast to coast, with plenty of scenic walking routes and lovely spots to stop for a picnic.
