Short two night stay

Lovely, clean and quite site. Clean bathroom and facilities also. Perfect spot to stay for the Zip line.

Lovely, clean, quiet campsite

Highly recommend - clean toilets and well stocked laundry/utility room. Tent pitch was excellent. Will definitely stay here again.

Friendly peaceful spacious site

A friendly, helpful welcome. Lovely site, plenty of space between pitches and the atmosphere is peaceful, even when busy. A mix of units, well laid out. My only reservation is the shower drains don't cope well following a busy W/E (and I question the facilities are large enough for the site when it's full). However, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Tros Y Waen.

Cracking stay

We've never camped before and this site made it all very easy. We arrived later than we planned and were greeted in a friendly and helpful manner. The pitch was great and the site was clean, tidy and pretty. Facilities were excellent. Our daughters absolutely loved it and made a great base for exploring North Wales.

Lovely site

A lovely site close to all amenities friendly and helpful staff. Showers were lovely and warm, fire pits and logs available. Would definitely visit there again. We went as a family group to visit Zip World and had a great time.

Amazing sight and host

A great location. It was close to lots of things by a short car journey but also tucked away in its own little paradise. The host was amazing and relaxed. The site had really good vibes, the weather we had was amazing, so I could be slightly bias.

Great stay, great facilities, great location

Great campsite, we stayed 3 nights over the Bank Holiday and the host was super responsive. Very accommodating. Great location for hikes around Snowdonia, close to the beaches. Thank you very much.

Clean, tidy and peaceful

The staff at the park really made the trip worthwhile. They were fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. The location of the site is central to many activities and days out that really would suit any traveller, from families to solo campers. The staff did a fantastic job keeping all facilities clean, tidy and well stocked. The toilets and showers were conveniently located on the park, which meant no matter where you were on site it wasn't a far walk. Overall I can't rate this site highly enough. it's peaceful, clean, tidy and located in a fantastic part of the world and run by fantastic people. I hope you visit again very soon.

Visited Zip World

Clean site & showers, spacious pitches Amazing hot showers, excellent facilities. So easy to get everywhere.

Excellent facilities

Our first time with a van rather than camping. We appreciated the hard standing during a boggy Easter break. Toilets/showers and washing up facilities were the best I've ever seen at a campsite. The site isn't really anywhere, but it was easy to drive up into Llanberis. There was a great play park on site but it was quite a long walk from the campervan pitch, so the kids couldn't use it much as they would have liked.

Bank holiday

Last minute booking. Found it to be a lovely site, friendly staff, lovely surroundings and spacious pitches. Dog friendly. Really enjoyed our weekend away.

Very clean, tidy and helpful owner

Great place. We have stayed before and had a serviced pitch but one wasn't available this time and we were worried as we have an on board tank in our caravan. The owner was very helpful and had a long hose that we could borrow to fill up and all was good. Very clean site and good facilities. Definitely recommend.

Couple of nights before climbing Snowdon

Great location for Llanberis.

Camping was really nice and clean, perfect spot close to the stream. Amazing walk around in beautiful summer weather.

Didn’t want to leave

Our stay at Tros-y-Waen couldn't have been timed more perfectly. After months of rain, we picked what can only be described as the first weekend of summer! This made a massive difference to our stay. The ground for our camping was feeling the effects of the rain but that isn't in anyone's control. The site was well kept and very clean. Location wise, it's the best we have picked in all our years of visiting Wales. It was so easy to get to Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Bangor, Caernarfon, and Anglesey, and not forgetting Llanberis for Snowden and even Betws-Y-Coed. So much to do. We're even contemplating retirement here it is that beautiful. We will be back!

Beautiful campsite

Beautiful views, clean, friendly and close to Snowdon and the beach. Perfect site for what we wanted.

Excellent campsite

The owner/manager was very welcoming and helpful, and the site very well run, clean and with good facilities. For my personal taste the location was not ideal (it was in the countryside but further from Snowdon than I wanted and not easy to walk there) and it was a larger campsite than I would normally choose to stay on, but this was down to availability on a bank holiday weekend. I have no complaints at all and if the location is right for you and you like a larger site, then I would recommend it highly.

So good we went back!

I took the kids last year and we liked it so much that it even convinced my wife to leave her "camping retirement" and join us this year! Facilities are always clean and working. The location is great for access to anywhere in North Wales, especially Snowdon (10 minutes drive). It is nice and quiet and remote, but a short drive from the supermarket in Bangor. Paul is very friendly and helpful, you couldn't ask for more. So good my wife is considering something more permanent there!
