Situated just ten minutes from Chester on a secluded working farm, this site is an ideal option for a stopover or family getaway. Surrounded by countryside and rural lanes, guests can enjoy a peaceful stay within easy reach of plenty of attractions. There are just ten grass pitches onsite, each suitable for tents and small campervans. Each pitch allows up to six guests with an optional electric hook up available too. Four-legged friends are also welcome onsite and there are plenty of great walks nearby. Raised BBQs are welcome onsite, perfect for al fresco dining in the evenings.

Clean, friendly site with potential to be fantastic with a few small tweaks. We stayed for two nights (Sunday-Tuesday) and found the site to be clean and generally well looked after. The toilet facilities were spotless, and while we didn't use the shower, it was nice to see everything well maintained. Our pitch was near some unused farm equipment, overgrown area, which wasn't the most scenic spot, and there were quite a few wasps and flies during our stay (plus one curious mouse visitor!). The gentleman in the neighbouring pitch went out to work and left in his van quite early both mornings (6.30am), which was a little noisy. He also parked in a way that blocked our view of the field where my children would play in the early evening — perhaps encouraging work vehicles to use the small car park (especially as the site states no commercial vans) would help preserve the lovely open feel for everyone. For a fairly large site, there is only one toilet and one shower, so queues did form occasionally. Adding another set of facilities could make things even more comfortable during busy periods. Overall, we appreciated the cleanliness and peaceful setting, and with a few small tweaks, this could be a really fantastic spot for a family getaway.

We had the best time! The campsite was clean and pitches are spacious, our kids loved the freedom running about and seeing the animals and making friends. It’s a really relaxed environment and we can’t wait to go back again x

Lovely quiet campsite, within a 15 min drive to chester - we were able to order uber to and from campsite. Multiple walk routes within the campsite, and a national trust site was within a 10 min drive, within free parking. Clean facilities.
