About the site

Welcome to Norfolk's award-winning holiday destination, nestled in the picturesque Broads. The park is set in the beautiful surroundings of South Norfolk's Waveney Valley, with fabulous views across the Norfolk and Suffolk marshes and a wealth of onsite facilities. For campers, there are seven pitches in the Bittern area and five pitches in the Moorhen area suitable for tents only. Bittern pitches measure 9.5m x 8m and come with a 16 amp electric hook up, Moorhen pitches are spacious with 16 amp electric hook ups and riverside views. Please note, Bittern and Moorhen pitches do not allow cars. Cars can park in the main car park or the small car park situated by the Bittern pitches, which is just a short walk to your pitch. Caravans and motorhomes can pick from a great range of pitches. The four electric grass Heron pitches measure 6m x 8.5m, set on a gentle slope. For a marina view, opt for the hardstanding Kingfisher pitches which are 7m x 9m with electric. The fully serviced pitches come with electric, water and grey waste connection. These also measure 7m x 9m and allow plenty of room for an awning. The Broads is one of Britain's magical waterways, England's largest wetland with over 125 miles of safe, scenic waterways to explore. Your stay can include a perfect blend of boating, walking and relaxing. Be sure to also enjoy a dip in the onsite swimming pool and a bite to eat at the pub. Bring your canoes and kayaks and enjoy a relaxing paddle on the river, or you can take the ferry across to Suffolk and walk alongside the river, through Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve or into the nearby town of Oulton Broad. Guests can also enjoy a meal or a tipple at the Wavenery Inn! The site also offers apartments and lodges. Up to two dogs are welcome to join you on each pitch. Camping trolleys are available to help transport camping equipment to your pitch, but please note that they are subject to availability. Gazebos are permitted, but must be taken down during adverse weather conditions. Waveney River Centre reserve the right to ask guests to take down gazebos at any time.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Heron Touring PitchesApr 2025

The site was peaceful and relaxing. Nice view of the marina. Clean and tidy in all areas. Friendly staff. Very remote location with very tight country single road access. Facilities are minimal but convenient. Local shops near by.

VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesApr 2025

Staff gets the highest praise, they are fantastic in every department - from front desk to the restaurant and bar. A special mention to the swimming pool, fantastic and included in the price, which my boy loved. Location and drive in can be a bit nail-biting and just hope you don't meet anyone the other way. View if you get the top pitch for touring vehicles is great .

Nice peaceful site

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Kingfisher Touring PitchesMar 2025

Nice peaceful site with great views. Excellent site if you want to get away from it all. All facilities easily accessible. Toilets clean. We didn't use the showers as we had our own in the motorhome. The pitches were quite close together, so it felt like we didn't have a lot of privacy, but once the hedges grow later in the season, this probably wouldn't be an issue. Overall, a nice stay.
