Clear filters Excellent
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) May 2025 This is an excellent site.
Brilliant location for travelling about (Thor's Cave is ten minutes away by car), exceptionally clean with great services, and perhaps above, all the staff are so friendly and helpful - people who genuinely care about you having a good time. The Manifold Pub at the entrance to the site is also a lovely spot for an evening social. Highly recommend this site, particularly with kids (it's nice and quiet and by 10pm all noise is kept to a minimum).
The shop is well stocked, the showers and facilities are great and they have a communal fridge/freezer and dryers etc.

Bank House Farm
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (No Awnings) May 2025 Nice, clean and well kept site. Shop had everything you needed. Also had hire fire pits which is rare on most sites now. We had a pitch backing onto the river which was great.
Great site and will definitely use again as its only an hour away.

Very dog friendly site, extremely quite and respectful visitors.

Great facilities
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) May 2025 Excellent site with fantastic facilities and friendly staff.
Toilet and showers plentiful and very clean. Shop well stocked and reasonably priced. Wi-fi reliable and reasonably quick. Great pub across the road serving good food (best to book).
We pitched on the top field at the brow of the hill which was a little windy.

Problematic but clean Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) May 2025 All washing/drying machines require coins, but no change machine.
Most tent pitches have a slope, unfriendly manager. Festival field is far from facilities so not recommended if you are less mobile or for small children.
Other campers were lovely and friendly.

Sorry to read you had a problematic stay, you only needed to pop in the onsite shop to get change for the washing Machine/Tumble dryers.
95% of our grass pitches are flat and as you can see from the many reviews we are a very family friendly site. We do not have a festival field, all our facilities are within a few minutes walk of all camping fields

Lovely site with great pub opposite
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches With Grass May 2025 This is a great site, the toilets/showers/pot washing areas all really clean and plenty of room.
Shop on site and a burger van visited one of the days. The pub couldn't be any closer and the food was lovely. Would advise booking.
We did a couple of walks from the site from the Manifold Valley visitor centre which has a lovely cafe.

Friendly and thoughtfully presented site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Meadow Field) May 2025 Highly recommended. Waking to the sound of the river burbling past was a delight, as were the site staff.
Clean and well maintained facilities and a beautiful setting.
Pub across the road was just the cherry on top! And the Sat evening pizza van was delicious.
Only feedback/suggestion would be adding a secure bike lock-up, but that really is splitting hairs.

Amazing stay
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) May 2025 The staff at the campsite were friendly and helpful, amazing views and all facilities were clean and easy to access, campsite is also dog friendly and has access to free WiFi which is great.

Perfect stay
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) May 2025 Home from a very lovely stay. Would absolutely recommend.
Facilities all great, owners very lovely, kind and helpful, and view beautiful.
The children loved the sports field and paddling in the river.
Lovely food across the road and Hartington village a short drive away and a great day walking to Thor's Cave.

Great location, lovely people
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) May 2025 Owners are lovely, friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are warm, modern and clean. Really nice option to have a communal fridge and freezer. Lovely sunset view especially from High Field. Clean covered washing up area with large amounts of sinks, with book exchange too.
Be aware that bike hire is no longer available from this end of the Manifold trail.

Beautiful views and fab facilities
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) Apr 2025 Fantastic campsite with stunning views - ours was particularly wonderful from pitch 3 at the top of the site with uninterrupted views of the Peak District.
Friendly, helpful staff who worked hard to maintain a lovely site. Additional extras like fire pits to hire and on site car charging made the trip even easier. And arguably, the best toilet and shower facilities we've ever had in a site. Really clean; modern; user-friendly and warm!
Highly recommend booking here for access to the Peak District. 5*.

Wonderful site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) Apr 2025 What a lovely site! We stayed in the top field and the views are stunning. Nice pub at the end of the road and lots of walks and beautiful scenery around the area.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Showers and toilets are spotless at all times. My only thing is if you're staying on the top field, some pitches are sloped so be aware of this if you need to level up.

Beautiful setting
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) Apr 2025 A lovely calm and quiet campsite, even though it was the school holidays. Wardens were friendly and approachable and the facilities were fantastic.
I will definitely be returning.

Great stay
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Great site and facilities in a nice location in a stunning setting. Quiet area with recommended scenic 6 mile (round trip) walk into Hartington from the site and walks from tea room close by.
Lovely pub opposite that does nice food, albeit small and busy. We will be back. Both site and pub dog friendly.

Excellent campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Awnings Permitted) Mar 2025 Perfectly located campsite. Facilities are clean, warm and well maintained. The warden was so friendly and even leant us some levelling blocks! The manifold arms is perfectly located if you want to eat out.
Make sure you book! Would definitely recommend this campsite.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (No Awnings) Mar 2025 Lovely site with really good facilities. I picked a riverside pitch and spent hours just sat listening to the sounds of the river and the birds singing. Pub opposite, and tea room and access to the manifold trail 200m away.
Really couldn't fault anything and am already planning my next visit.

Great site
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 This is our third stay at this site and we have two future bookings. It's a lovely clean site with beautiful views and a pub that serves great food across the road.
There is a dog walking field on site and there are beautiful walks straight from the site. I would thoroughly recommend.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (No Awnings) Mar 2025 Lovely pitch by the river, very well kept site. Toilets spotless and warm, with under cover pot wash. 2 big fridge and freezers, plus washing machine and tumble dryer.
I had a call from Wynne to tell me my pitch was available an hour earlier than book in - never had that before, and he came to welcome me when I arrived. Can't fault the site in any way, so tidy, will be going again definitely.
