VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Jun 2025 This was our first time out in a camper van, we had a great stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the services (toilets, showers etc) were great and always very clean.
Fantastic site with great facilities

Friends getaway
Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Jun 2025 Great campsite, lovely staff. Some noise from the road but never worried us. In a great spot for walks and trains. The showers and toilets were lovely, especially the new ones.
Only thing we thought was not good was the water in the sinks in the toilets was to high a temperature. Needs turning lower. Never thought I would say that at a campsite, but usually it is not hot enough.

Amazing Laneside!
Jun 2025 Just returned from another short break at Laneside in one of their beautiful rental vans.
Fabulous facilities, very clean and well cared for and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Location is ideal for use as a base to visit local attractions or just use as a chill out in the peace and quiet.
Definitely be back soon.
Already planning our return trip
Large Tent - Medium Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Absolutely perfect site for our family camping trip. Facilities were exceptionally clean and the family shower rooms were second to none. The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced, and there was an added bonus of some external catering vans over the weekend. The site has a quiet rule after 10.30pm and this was really well adhered to. Late night trips to the toilets were a breeze with lighting meaning there was no need for torches. Thoroughly recommend and we are already planning our return trip.

Shepherd's Hut - Jack's Hut May 2025 Everything about the site ticks all the right boxes for my wife and myself and the shepherds hut was the icing on the cake, perfect for our Sapphire Wedding Anniversary, nothing more to say.
Great break
Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) May 2025 Had three nights at Laneside and was great. Staff are friendly and helpful, location is great and site was lovely, clean and well set out. I'm rebooking for the summer holiday, had a fab time.
Great location to High Peak
Medium Tent - Medium Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Had a lovely stay over the bank holiday.
The site is a great location for visiting the attractions in High Peak. Staff friendly, clientele friendly and facilities cleaned regularly and modern. Only issues were high prices of food and drink, camping area a bit cramped when at the back of the site, with no toilets nearby. No playground for the kids and Wi-Fi in and out, but would definitely recommend a stay at Lakeside, we will return.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) May 2025 Wonderful site extremely close to Hope and walking distance to Castleton. The surrounding area is spectacular, and with bus stops outside the site, there are lots of places to visit.
The open top bus to Chatsworth is well worth a trip allowing you to see the amazing views.
The site staff are really friendly and the shop is well stocked. The only slight criticism is that the facilities block can be a fair distance away depending on where your pitch is located.

Very friendly staff and the location is spot on. Facilities are clean and well looked after.
The added bonus of the drinks bar and food at the weekends was a very welcome bonus.
Would highly recommend.
First time
May 2025 This was our first time at Laneside Caravan Park and it did not disappoint.
A beautifully kept caravan site in a nice location, very quiet and peaceful. It was nice to be able to walk into the village and plenty of walks nearby. We would highly recommend this site x

Fish and chips van on Saturday was fantastic, great little outside bar.

My stay
VW-Type Campervan - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Despite its huge capacity, it was a very quiet stay on FA cup final day!
Well, I think my star ratings say enough.
I wouldn't normally go for such a large site for fear of noise and lots of people. But this was a relatively last minute booking close enough to Castleton for great walks and hikes without having to pay for car parks. Very impressed.
Wonderful staycation
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Great site very quiet alongside river setting and fab location for many peak attractions and walks.
Easy walk to local village and town, super little shop and fantastic shower blocks.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Will come again.
Excellent site
May 2025 Fabulous site really clean all the pitches are tidy.
Toilets are spotless. Loads of pot wash sinks and a dog wash. Visiting pop ups includes a bar, chippy and an onsite butty place open in the mornings. Can't fault it.
Short walk into Hope and a short walk to bus stop and train station.
Great place to stay, highly recommend.
