Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesAug 2026

We have been coming to this campsite for the past three years when visiting Scotland. A peaceful little site with lovely views and immaculate facilities, would highly recommend.

Very clean but pricey

VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesAug 2026

This must be one of the cleanest sites I've ever stayed on. The toilets and showers were spotless. A bonus for me was the enclosed dog field. On the negative side, I felt the pitches were too close together. I thought £37 for 1 adult & 1 dog for 1 night was rather excessive. Also, for that price I would have expected unlimited electricity, not a rationed amount.

Site's response

Thank you for your review and for your very kind comments about the cleanliness of the site, our toilets and showers, and the enclosed dog field. We are delighted that you found the site and facilities so clean. We would just like to clarify a few points for future guests. Our pitches are positioned in accordance with our campsite licence and the fire and safety requirements to which the site is inspected. The pitch spacing is therefore carefully determined as part of the site's safety requirements. Electricity is included in the pitch price with an allowance of 10 kWh per day. During your stay, your actual usage was 3.96 kWh, so you used less than 40% of your daily allowance. The metering system is simply there to make electricity usage fair and transparent, rather than charging every guest for unlimited consumption whether they use it or not. Additional electricity is available should a guest genuinely need it. The dog charge is just £1, which contributes towards the upkeep of the enclosed dog field and its facilities. The £37 charged was for one adult, one dog and one night during high season, on a fully serviced hardstanding pitch at our small, adult-only site. Our prices are based on the pitch, facilities and services provided rather than simply the number of occupants, in much the same way that accommodation is priced according to the room or unit rather than solely by the number of people using it. We appreciate that what represents good value is subjective, but we hope this provides some useful context for prospective guests considering what is included in our prices. Thank you again for your positive comments about the cleanliness and facilities.

Great location, clean & friendly.

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesAug 2026

Lovely site with fantastic facilities. Bathrooms were clean and lots of hot water. The enclosed dog park is a great idea, our dog loved getting a run in the park. We also got a takeaway delivered to our pitch from the local town. Would defilingly stay again.

A note from the site themselves...

The site is owned and run by myself (Lynn Cuthbertson) and my husband, James Cuthbertson. I had worked most of my life for other organisations on a 9 to 5 basis, but I had a great desire for the freedom to take control of my time management and make my own work decisions.

I have always lived in the countryside and adore the peacefulness of more rural living. James is often too busy with his full-time job and jobs around the site like digging holes, planting hedges, measuring, and planting grass seed, the list is endless.

We both hope we both get to welcome you to our lovely part of Scotland soon!
