Lovely campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 This is a nice, well kept camp site. The facilities were clean and the owners were friendly. We had plenty of space on our pitch to spread out. The location was really beautiful and within easy distance to Eryri national park. We would definitely stay again.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Excellent location. Quiet and peaceful site toilet and shower block immaculate. Small village but great butchers and deli, Thursday night steak night in local pub, great food reasonably priced. Easy access to Llanberis and seaside. Would definitely recommend.

First family camping trip Bell Tent - Bell Tents Jul 2026 Wasn't as quiet and tranquil as I had hoped. On one morning, I was awoken at 5.20am by very loud vehicle (sounded like sit on mower or tractor). Plus, no sign of meal offerings available to purchase on site.

I'm so sorry to read that your stay wasn't as peaceful as you'd hoped. Thank you for bringing the early morning disturbance to our attention - I'll certainly look into what may have caused that.
Regarding the food, we don't offer on-site catering. You may have seen that during the summer holidays we occasionally host visiting food vendors and special events on selected weekends, and these are always advertised in advance on our social media and around the campsite. There wasn't a food vendor advertised during your stay as, unfortunately, the one due to visit had to cancel at very short notice and we weren't able to arrange a replacement.

The best camping experience
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 This was my first time solo camping as a woman, so I was understandably feeling quite anxious before I arrived. I needn’t have worried though – from the moment I got there, the owners and staff made me feel completely at ease. They were so welcoming, friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble.
The campsite itself is exceptionally clean. The toilets and showers were spotless every time I used them, which really made a difference. The pitches are a great size, with plenty of space, and the whole site is clearly very well looked after.
The atmosphere was peaceful, safe and relaxing, making it the perfect place for my first solo camping experience. I left feeling much more confident and can’t thank the owners and staff enough for their kindness and hospitality. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this campsite and will definitely be returning.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We stayed on a tent pitch with an electric hook-up and had a great experience. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the location was ideal, especially for hiking Snowdon. Will be recommending to friends and family.

Not ideal for glamping Bell Tent - Bell Tents Jul 2026 We chose this site as we wanted to avoid the three day minimum many sites impose locally, as we only wanted a short stay.
That said, we were looking for a distinct glamping experience which usually involves privacy, a really rural setting and interesting or creative décor. The glamping tents are incorporated into the main camping area, just below the caravans, with rubbish drifting by. The shower block was dirty enough in the evening for me to use a mop to clean the floor, but as the water was dirty, it didn't really help. Toilets and toilet floors were not clean.

When it comes to the glamping experience, I completely respect that everyone has a different idea of what that should look like. Our bell tents, their location and their décor are all shown in our listing photos, so I'd encourage anyone considering a stay to take a good look through them to make sure we're the right fit for the experience they're looking for.
I'm also genuinely sorry if you encountered litter during your stay. We work hard to keep the site looking its best, so it's disappointing to hear that wasn't your experience.
Likewise, I apologise if the shower block and toilets weren't up to the standard we aim for. The summer holidays are by far our busiest time of year, but that's never an excuse for standards to slip. We appreciate you taking the time to bring it to our attention, and we'll use your feedback to keep improving.

Tidy campsite but inadequate toilet and shower facilities Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 A nice, tidy, small campsite, however, feeling very let down by inadequate toilet and shower facilities.
The fact is that there are only three female toilets and three male toilets with no urinals for men.
The showers are far too small, only three showers in the female and three showers in the male toilets. It was basically getting showered in a tiny toilet cubicle with no space to move and nowhere to put your clothes. No shelf for your toiletries in the shower, unhygienic shower curtain. As the site was busy and with the site having inadequate number of toilets and showers, they were always full and never smelt the best! We were not happy at all with these facilities.
Not a patch on other campsite facilities, we will not return.

I'm sorry to hear that our facilities didn't meet your expectations. We completely appreciate that opinions on campsite facilities will differ from guest to guest, and everyone has different preferences.
That said, some of the points raised are subjective, whilst others are factually inaccurate. Our listing includes multiple photographs of the shower block so guests can see exactly what to expect before booking, and I'll review those again to see if there's anything more we can do to make the facilities even clearer.
Just to clarify for anyone reading, each shower cubicle is fitted with a hook on the back of the door for clothing and a fold-down seat for toiletries and personal belongings.
Whilst we appreciate that our shower block wasn't the right fit for you, we do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Absolutely lovely site. Extreme pride is taken in keeping this sore clean and tidy.
The facilities are stunningly clean, no matter what time of day.
Owners are very welcoming and friendly, would recommend a stay here to everyone.

Return visit to the site after 30 years absence.
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 After 30 years absence the transformation was amazing. The site looked like it had just opened. Toilet block and facilities were like new and the site was immaculate. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will return.

Gorgeous sunset on top of The Brook field.
Really pleasantly surprised by all facilities including kids football pitch, dog park (also great for kids to burn energy), clean toilets and showers, very well kept grounds.

Nice site except from horrible neighbours
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 The camp site was well located, clean and has lots of good facilities including a little dog walk area and football area too which the kids all enjoyed.
Slight down side were some very noisy and rude neighbours. Lots of shouting, swearing and non family friendly conversations well past the 11pm limit and nothing was done about it. I wasn't comfortable approaching them and it went on until 3am. Not a good way to end the holiday.

I'm genuinely sorry that your stay was affected by the behaviour of other campers. We would never expect any of our guests to approach another pitch themselves, especially at that time of night which is why we provide our contact number on arrival, so that if anything like this happens and we are not aware, you can let us know and we can step in. Had we known what was happening, we would absolutely have addressed it. We work hard to maintain the peaceful, family friendly atmosphere, so it's really disappointing not every camper respects that.

Lovely campsite
Bell Tent - Bell Tents Jul 2026 Lovely little campsite, spotlessly clean. Nice field for kids to play football.
Overall, fantastic and a really quiet site. Neighbours one night were noisy and spoilt the friendly, relaxed vibe but the owners were very apologetic.
All the other nights were super peaceful. Small shops and a pub within walking distance but very drivable to many tourist destinations. The bell tent was great value and really cosy and comfortable.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 This was by far one of the best campsites we’ve ever stayed at! The tent pitches are as close to level as you can ask for, the facilities are all very clean, it’s close to the lake. Just great all around, the owners did a fantastic job with this place!

I must say the site is beautiful, and well looked after. Very close to Mt snowdon, and easy to find local places of interest. Showers and toilets modern and clean, very nice!
Staff very helpful on arrival, giving tips ect for travel, timings ect ect.

Absolutely amazing location
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We already can’t wait to come back, there’s so much to do locally that we couldn’t even get close in two days! A few people camp just to walk Snowdon but there’s so many great things to do under half an hours drive away. The cleanest and most respectful campsite we have ever been to - the pitches are huge! Also incredibly dog friendly. The enclosed dog field was a highlight for us!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 The place was spotless lovely and clean. 2 nights we stayed. Kids were a bit bored, no internet connection and 5g was very limited. Also, grass was getting cut 2nd night after 10pm. Kids were awake quite late with the noise.

Hi Barry, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, we don't offer WiFi, nor do we claim to, so I can only apologise if that was disappointing for you on arrival. Everything we do is aimed towards an audience interested in exploring the mountains and the beaches and our beautiful surroundings, so internet hasn't really featured in anything we do. Although I can see from your 3 star location rating that the area was not for you, so that's understandable. Campsites.co.uk offer a really informative list of FAQs on our listing, and I have worked hard with them to ensure is as helpful and as detailed as possible, and you'll see I have tried to list the mobile phone networks that tend to have the best signal/coverage in our area. I apologise if that misguided you.
Having reviewed CCTV I can see our neighbouring farmers fields were being tended to, I can only sincerely apologise for that disruption and I will address that with the landowner. I can assure you we would never see to our own duties at that time of an evening.
If you have any further feedback regarding the standard of service you received please do let us know, as that is something we work really hard to maintain at the highest standard possible, and we would hate any guest to receive anything less than the best customer service.
