The best site I’ve been to. Clean, tidy, just off the M6. Beautiful setting alongside lovely canal.

mid week break

lovely site can't praise it enough. Even before we arrived we were sent a email with directions and pitch number then met on site by the owner Paul who was a really nice helpful guy. He explained where to access the Lancaster canal, how to get to the shop and more importantly how to get to the pub . Brilliant site i would highly recommend and will definitely go again.

Beautiful site

A beautiful well kept site, will definitely be returning. The facilities are immaculate with everything you could possibly need. You can see why they’ve achieved so many awards.The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Lovely walk along the canal which runs alongside the site. Very nice pub just over the road, what more could you ask for. Originally only booked for one night but decided to stay for two. Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely Site

We stopped overnight at this little site on our way home to Scotland. It was dog friendly with a lovely walk along the canal towpath just across the road. The facilities were kept very clean as was the site in general. It is also close to Kendal and Windermere if you fancy a day trip. We will definitely be revisiting this site for a longer period and any future overnight stops whilst heading home.

Amazing

I've just returned from an amazing stay at Little Acre. From the point of booking I recieved an email which was really informative with directions and even the pitch number. Finding the site was so easy (even for me) literally straight off the M6. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly (I arrived a little early) and the facilities were clean and modern. The site itself even though full, was really quiet and peaceful with a lovely characteristic pub a stones throw away. The Lancaster canal is literally at the entrance to the site. I would highly recommend this amazing little place and will be returning.

Fab-u-lous!

An amazing adults only site! The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. Amazing facilities and incredibly clean. Great access to the canal and good pubs. The site welcomes dogs, which is a bonus; however, typically out of the entire site of caravaners and tourers, there was one dog owner with two dogs, who felt it acceptable to allow them to continuously yap, yap, yap, on the last night of our stay, which was slightly annoying. It certainly didn't dampen our stay. 10/10, Wonderful owners, wonderful site! See you soon!

I love this site!

This is the second time staying at Little Acre and would definitely stay again. Lovely clean and quiet site with a pub across the road and a canal path for walking our dog

Fabulous place

We had an easy journey from The Wirral to Little Acres Holiday Park at Milnthorpe Cumbria. We parked up, set up and settled in for a fabulous 4 days camper van holiday. There was more than enough space to park and connect to the hookup. Well kept grass area and boarders. Facilities on site were of high standard, toilets and shower block with underfloor heating was very welcomed. Toiletries provided, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, hair dryer and more, in a luxury setting. Also, a washing up and laundry area for convenience Only 2 minutes walk over the little canal bridge to The Crooklands Pub, were we had a fantastic meal and drinks. Beautiful walk along the Lancashire canal with spectacular views. Bus stops at The Crooklands Pub going both ways to either Kendal or Kirkby Lonsdale, both just 15 mins away, saves the bother of finding a parking space when you get there and you can enjoy the views along the way. Our host, Paul, called by with a warm and friendly welcome and gave us the information we needed to get our stay at Little Acres started. We met Sarah the following day and she also had time to chat and help us with the bus schedules. Would highly recommend this site and will definitely be returning.

Gem

This site is a little gem . We have been a few times now . Each time the site has been improved. During the winter they refurbished one of the toilet blocks that were already at a good standard . Pitches are always clean and tidy . Water supplied to the pitch on the ones I've had . Easy to find . Pub garage and canal walks nearby . Will definitely be returning

Little Gem

Excellent dog friendly site with great local walks and pub opposite. The toilet, shower & washing up facilities have got to be the best we've experienced 10/10.

Perfect little site

I stayed here with my mum for a couple of days. We requested a pitch next to the toilet block as we both have blue badges. We had the perfect location on pitch 26. We were next to the facilities - which were meticulous and the nicest I've seen - and the gate to the canal and pub. The whole site is kept extremely clean and tidy and the personnel were very helpful and friendly. The location was in a quiet area of the South Lakes but we made good use of the buses into Kirkby Lonsdale and Kendal. The bus stop is very close, just in front of the pub. I will definitely be returning - with my husband and dog next time.

Brilliant

1st time visiting Little acre campsite,overall we thought the facilities the location and the owners were absolutely brilliant . We definitely recommend this site for a base for the southern lakes and the Yorkshire dales .

Lovey stay

We loved our stay at little acre - the host was really helpful & all the facilities were clean and spacious. Would defiently stay again. The pub across the road was a bonus too!
