About the site


Set within 4.5 acres of scenic grounds on the Devon and Somerset border, this family-run campsite offers a peaceful stay just ten minutes from Exmoor National Park. Surrounded by mature trees, landscaped gardens and far-reaching countryside views, it offers plenty of space to relax. The spacious grass pitches measure 11m x 12m, with a small number of non-electric pitches or electric grass pitches. All allow tents, roof tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes with up to six guests. There are also electric hardstanding pitches measuring 11m x 12m, along with a couple of XL hardstanding pitches offering even more space. A selection of seasonal pitches are also available. Facilities include WiFi, a small onsite shop stocking everyday essentials and a cosy seating area for enjoying a drink or snack. Families are well catered for too, with a play park featuring a climbing frame and space for children to burn off some energy. The location makes an excellent base for exploring. Dulverton, often known as the gateway to Exmoor, is just ten minutes away, while Tiverton and the National Trust Knightshayes estate can both be reached within 20 minutes. Further afield, guests can visit Exmoor Zoo (30 minutes) or spend a day on the golden sands of Saunton Beach (50 minutes). Evenings can be spent relaxing back at the park, with fire pits available to hire and firewood available to purchase. Raised BBQs are also welcome! Up to two dogs are allowed per pitch, with a dedicated dog exercise paddock providing a secure space for four-legged guests to stretch their legs and play.

Things to do on site and in the Tiverton area

Just ten minutes from the park, the town of Dulverton is often known as the southern gateway to Exmoor National Park. Here, visitors can stop by the Exmoor National Park Centre to learn more about the area's wildlife, walking routes and history before heading out to explore.

For those interested in history and gardens, National Trust - Knightshayes Court is around 20 minutes away. This Victorian estate combines a Gothic Revival house with beautiful gardens and parkland. Visitors can explore colourful seasonal displays, woodland paths and amazing interiors.

Animal lovers will enjoy a visit to Exmoor Zoological and Conservation Centre, which is around 30 minutes from the park. The zoo is home to a wide variety of animals from around the world, including big cats, primates, reptiles and smaller rare species. Its focus on conservation and education makes it a great informative day out.

One of the most unique attractions in the region is the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway (50 minutes). This historic water-powered railway links the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, carrying passengers up and down the steep cliffs that separate them.

For a day by the sea, Saunton Sands is around 50 minutes away. The beach stretches for miles along the North Devon coast and is famous for its golden sands and surfing opportunities.
