Great Break in Dorset

We had a great break in this well kept and peaceful campsite. We could walk to the coast and into Burton Bradstock, to have dinner at the Anchor or the Three Horseshoes, both were excellent.

Lovely site, well thought out

Site was lovely, facilities were very clean and staff were very polite and helpful. Thenonly things for me was there was only one facilities block and it's in the middle of all the static caravans who do not need them, campers are further away which makes it a bit of a walk especially at night just to go to toilet. My only other thing and this is not entirely the sites fault but I chose it because it said you can have fire pits which I took with me and then wasnt allowed to use, it took quite a bit of space of which I didnt have alot and then didnt use it once, it was also a bbq which was a source of cooking for me, due to not being allowed to use it i was left with one pan, had i known i would have pan red differently but i did choose this site specifically because it said it allowed fires which for me personally is a big part of camping.

Very good

We camped in the lower meadow, which was a simple grass field (level) with countryside views. Lovely walk to Burton Bradstock through field of corn on the cob and along small river. Facilities very clean - could have down with a few more washbasins

charming

A lovely site, with a mixture of Electric grass, electric hardstand and not electric grass pitches. I had pitch 13, which was perfect. In the sun all day, super quiet and only a 3 min walk to Shower block. 15 min walk into the village, with a shop, garage and 2 good pubs to choose from. Jurrasic coast open top bus, will take you to Weymouth or Lyme Regis in the other direction. Will certainly be returning.

Happy holiday

Lovely site, not too big, very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Pitch sizes are good and well positioned. In a great location. Easy to get out and about to the beach, village, beaches, pubs and restaurants.

Great staff and service, but location fell short

We stayed in a medium tent for a few nights. The standard of service from the staff was great—very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The facilities, cleanliness, and value for money were okay and met basic needs. However, we found the location a bit disappointing compared to our expectations. A decent stay overall if you value helpful staff!

Amazing value for money

Absolutely beautiful location. Situated d see I that we could walk to the beach, pubs and restaurants. Scrupulously clean. We will be back.

Great site, beautiful views and an amazing time

The site is a perfect little getaway from the usual busy sites near by. Absolutely wonderful staff and brilliantly looked after site with amenities and stunning views. Will be back next year for sure if not sooner

Lovely quiet, clean site

Lovely, clean site. Great pitches, not overcrowded at all. Staff so helpful. Clean toilet and shower blocks with hot showers every time. It is just a shame the toilet/shower block was a walk from the camping. It was situated by the caravans not the tents! So a little walk.

Camping, Cycling and Swimming.

Great campsite close to a wonderful National Trust Beech at Hive. We had two fantastic bike rides in the area with a mix of off road if required. Quiet country lanes. The site is wonderful with fantastic facilities.

Pleasant stay

Location is excellent. Large pitches. Only 2 showers in ladies which could be a problem in busy times. We were disappointed no one mentioned there is no signal at all for a television.

peaceful 2 night stay

Super friendly and relaxed site, felt very safe as a lone traveller. Lots to do nearby. A quiet and peaceful place, but near enough to village and beach. Would definitely stay again. Great VFM!

Very nice and peaceful. Only disappointment was paying for Wi-Fi that was very weak in the bottom field. Recommend.

A real gem

We had a fantastic stay. First time camping at this site will definitely be returning. Beautiful walk to the stunning village and Hive beach. Facilities spotless at all times of day.

First adventure in my camper van

Wonderful, peaceful site. Even in high season. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to explore from, no further driving necessary. I will definelty be back :)

Lovely site but long walk to facilities block

Lovely site in Dorset in walking distance of Burton Bradstock. Pros - Generous pitches. Picnic tables. Lovely riverside walk. Woodland walk. ANPR security. Friendly and helpful staff. Information pod with games. Site shop. Cons - Very long walk to facilities block with no seats along the way. Smell of urine in hedges along path beside camping field. Woodland seating covered in guano and needs regular cleaning.

Short break

This is a lovely site, which is clean and tidy. Lovely walks for you and your dogs. Staff very friendly and helpful. The reasons for only 4 stars is the facilities are a far trek to get to. the second reason was we could only book for 3 nights when we only wanted to stay for two nights. Overall a lovely place.

Lovely campsite

Lovely campsite, however says 1 mile to Hive beach which implied it's walkable We enjoyed our stay but paid for Wi-Fi which still didn't work in the lower meadow field. Therefore, we couldn't say we had arrived until we were off site and then read about getting a reserved space sign when it was too late. Also, very nasty smells around the site - couldn't make out if it was sewage from cans/campers or local farms.
