Review of Rosewall campsite - Osmington
Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Oct 2026 Had a lovely stay here, the site is beautiful and well kept and in a great location!
It’s Right on the coastal path and there are so many lovely walks, and the smugglers inn is only 5 minutes away for a pint!

The site is perfect to explore the surrounding area with fantastic views overlooking the sea. The facilities are all clean and well maintained (nice hot water for doing the dishes).
Two nights R&R
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2026 Two nights stay, last minute Thursday, Friday headed back Saturday at our leasure. Fishing lakes were lovely, the fish were in very good condition great to see.
Very peaceful had the place to ourselves lots of nature! don’t take to much gear as abit of a walk. Campsite was very spacious found a good level pitch, toilets and showers were kept extremely clean. 👌🏻ideal time to go as quiet and short walk to the smugglers pub.
Beautiful views
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2026 Beautiful views over the sea and surrounding countryside. Quite a sloping site, but with many flat areas.
Showers and toilets immaculately clean. Laundry rooms also available with washers and dryers. The shop stocked all the basics and the staff were helpful. The Smugglers Inn was a short walk away and was very welcoming. Food was good too.
I didn't manage to get to the beach as the path was extremely steep. I visited Bowleaze Cove (10 mins in the car). There was plenty of parking, a lovely beach for a stroll or swim and a very nice café.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2026 Beautifully situated campsite with limited but ideal facilities. Friendly staff check in was quick and easy and self choosing your pitch is very welcome.
Will definitely stay again when in Dorset.
Spotlessly clean
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2026 What a fabulous site. Could park where I wanted and the facilities were absolutely spotless. Perfectly placed on the south west coast path and a fantastic pub in the village. They were also kind enough to allow me to leave my camper on the site oj check out date as I walked into Weymouth to finish my walking weekend on the SWCP. Will definitely return.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Site was beautiful, lovely views, various fields to choose from all of which were nicely positioned. 5 minute walk to a great pub, The Smugglers Inn. Walks along the coast directly accessed from the camp site. Facilities were clean and well looked after. Plenty of loos, showers and shektered washing up sinks. Well stocked shop on site, staff were really friendly, great stay, lovely place.

Cleanest toilets and shower facilities I have ever used, never dirty. Quietness observed, no noise at night.
Remember chocks for tables as a slight incline.
Beautiful walk to the cove, past the pub where we had a lovely meal. Family swam as the sun set.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Super site close to Smugglers pub and on coastal path to Durdle Door. Nice and quiet past 10:30 pm - also really nice you can pick your spot to suit as not pre-allocated. Lovely place and will return.

Plenty of room to pitch your tents ..toilet block and showers were great and plenty of charging points . Would recommend this site if you need a quiet getaway.

Fantastic, beautiful, clean campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 We didn't want to leave, we had a fantastic weekend!
The site is all non electric. There are 2 blocks of facilities, 1 located at the top by reception, and the other at the bottom. I know the bottom block had showers, toilets, disabled toilet, laundry, dish wash area. We chose to pitch up in the bottom field with a wonderful view of the sea. Facilities are very, very clean and plenty of USB points and sockets to charge phones in the toilet block. Reception/shop staff are very friendly and items in the shop are reasonably priced.
During our stay we visited a foodie van situated on the lower field open 8.30-10.30am and 5.30-8.30pm, the food is tasty and reasonably priced. We did see a poster advertising a pizza van visiting on a Thursday.
We did a short walk to the beach, past a picturesque pub called the Smuggler's Inn, the food is quite pricey for us, although the pizza was good and the location was so pretty, so worth it. The coastal path is closed so there is a short diversion but I found it difficult due to my arthritic knees. A little steep getting down to the beach but it is beautiful. It isn't a sandy beach, it's mainly large rocks and boulders so beware, best to wear walking boots/trainers not flip flops like I had done, they are very slippery.
We did a 10-15min walk to the main road and caught a bus to Weymouth for the day, bus times are in reception.
Overall, we rate our stay as 5 star and can't wait to return.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Picturesque site with views of the sea. Its very hilly and you do need to be careful where you pitch your tent but thats just a minor detail .Shower blocks quite clean with 2 blocks on site . Friendly staff in the on site shop. Short walk down to the smugglers inn and easy access to some lovely coastal walks. This was only our second visit but will definitely be back.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Had a great stay at Rosewall. Was so good that we actually stayed for an extra night. Location was good for exploring nearby, Weymouth. Facilities were good, clean, tidy and well looked after. Also had a mobile takeaway over the weekend which was also good. Easy walk to local pub and beach. Lots of walks and paths to explore. Big site so just parked up where it was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend 100%.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 If you’re after a nice quiet field to pitch a tent in this site is excellent. Shower and toilet block look pretty new and are spotless. Small shop with essentials. And a great use out over the sea.
