VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

A very quiet site during the week, it was louder at the weekend, especially as there was an event on Saturday evening at the cafe on site. The toilets didn't seem to be mopped, there were no hand washing basins in the bathrooms but four sinks outside the toilets and showers separate, these were multipurpose for hand washing, teeth brushing, washing up. Maybe separating the two sides one for hand washing, one for dish washing would be more hygienic. I did not see the warden until the Friday of my stay but I didn't not speak with him - I assume he was the warden, he was driving the site. I didn't have an allocated pitch (he never stayed on site only attended for about 20 mins to an hour) resulting in moving pitch quite a lot as my pitch was taken when the site was busier and I had gone out. The shop was never open as the warden wasn't onsite. I'm glad I had a toilet in the van as the site was very dark at night and as a lady on my own, I felt slightly vulnerable. If looking for a back to basics, back to nature, quiet site, then this is a perfect site, it is advertised as this and does what it says.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

Great campsite. Loads of space, could park by the tent, forest areas great for kids to make dens The café and facilities very good. Dropped a star as the wash up was quite far from our tent (we were on the meadow field) and the planes were quite loud (we were told about this). Would definitely come again (and bring a camping trolley).
