A very pleasant and enjoyable stay, facilities were clean and all in working order, enough to cater for all on site. Will look to return again in the future.

We are quite new to camping, but this site was lovely. The showers and washing up facilities were really clean. The little shop had essential bits, plus you can hire firepits and buy wood at a very reasonable price. We had the pizzas one night which were amazing and we did get a breakfast as well which was tasty. I really recommend this site.

The check in was friendly and pleasant. We managed to find a relatively flat pitch but be warned, the family fields are on a fairly strong slope so arrive early to get the better pitches as they are not pre allocated. On the whole the site was fine, but we felt 5 toilets and 5 showers for all the women on site, and 2 sinks for washing up, when it was as busy as it was during our stay, wasn't always sufficient. They were being regularly cleaned but due to the volume of use, it must be very hard to maintain a high level of cleanliness. Again, smaller volume would mean this would be very clean normally. We had a disappointing pizza takeaway (2 of our group found mould in the pizza bases after eating quite a bit of it) but this was dealt with fairly by the owners, immediately refunded etc. I think if we had visited at a quieter time of year, the site would have been exceptional, but sadly due to the volume of pitches during our stay, the late night noise one night (no one from the office came up to speak to people beyond curfew making noise) and the other smaller issues during our stay we have rated it down. It wasn't the most expensive (I guess hence the volume) so if you're not fussy about quality of stay in the busier months, this is a good site.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. We are really devastated about the pizza bases. After a thorough investigation it was found to be a manufacturing problem. Therefore we have changed our dough supplier and the problem is now resolved. Once again please accept our apologies.

The grass in the camping fields was well cut and there were plenty of bins & water taps dotted around the site. The toilets, showers and pot washing area was clean & tidy. We loved staying here! There are lots of options for walking to Monyash or exploring the countryside along waymarked paths from the site too. Perfect!

We stayed in Hazel field in an air tent with electric hook up. The campsite was very peaceful and the facilities were good. We felt safe there which is really important to me. The location was great for exploring the Peak District. We would definitely go back!

We only spend one night but check in was quick and easy and told to pitch where we wanted to in the field. The grass was cut to a nice height and no rubbish anywhere. The facilities were lovely and clean and located centrally. The burn pit and wood was great value and last us the whole night. We were lazy and ordered the pizza's from reception and collected them at the time arranged, they were lovely and hot and well made, we did the same for breakfast and ordered freshly cooked breakfast (bap, cob, roll) which again was delicious. Would definitely go there again, but for longer next time and would recommend anyone to stay there.

Lovely position, nice country walk a mile or so to nearest pub. Extremely good amenities. Showers take single 20p's, not £1 coins, as I found out. 😂

My wife and I stayed in one of the four pods. Private garden, hot tub, gas BBQ, everything you need to enjoy a few days away. On the doorstep to the peaks and endless walks, it really was an amazing place to stay.

Knotlow Farm is in a lovely place. With lots of lovely villages round and about. Monyash is lovely. We were on the Chestnut site in the top field which was relatively flat, but most of the other areas were on a slope which could be an awkward. It was a family pitch and there were a lot of small children which is fine, but if you want peace and quiet, it's not for you. There was no availability at the time on the adult only pitches. Dogs are allowed. Everywhere was nice and clean. The shop could have a better stock of provisions. The washrooms and toilet block were good. There was Pizza and chips available to buy. Also, you could hire a fire pit which is a godsend when it gets cooler. All in all, we had a lovely weekend.

Lovely peaceful location, plenty of pitches available. Good clean facilities, it had everything you need. The breakfasts and pizzas were a nice touch even though the pizzas are quite expensive. We would return and would recommend.

Lovely place to stay and camp, toilets and showers were clean and tidy. There's a coffee machine, vending machine and reception has things you need for camping, like fire pits to hire, pizza to order and breakfast cobs for morning. Would definitely stay again.

I couldn't find any fault at all with this campsite. Everything is spotlessly clean, didn't see a bit of litter, all grounds and utility areas extremely well maintained. Instructions are clear and helpful. You could literally turn up with your tent, everything else is available to buy or rent (such as fire pits). Drinking water provided at the entrance to every part of the site. The lady in reception was really helpful on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. You are then just left alone for the duration of your stay to enjoy this beautiful site. The pizzas that are available are lovely, piping hot and make for an easy meal sat by the camp fire. Lots of walks to go on, one into the pretty village of Monyash where you will find a cafe and the Bull's Head pub, and another walk up to the Bull I' Th' Thorn pub, which has lovely meals and an onsite pizzeria. We walked back from here around 10:30pm (torch needed) but a beautiful walk back to site with Barn owls and other wildlife for company. I can't wait to return. A hidden gem!
