About the site


This friendly, rural site sits on the edge of the small village of Scratby, just five minutes from the Broads National Park. It makes an ideal base for families wanting a relaxed coastal holiday in the countryside while remaining within easy reach of Great Yarmouth (10 minutes) and Norwich (35 minutes). Onsite, there are grass pitches both with and without electric, as well as several fully serviced pitches complete with a TV connection, 16 amp hook up, water supply and waste disposal connections. Pitches are suitable for tents, trailer tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Surrounding this secluded site is open farmland, with a variety of footpaths leading further afield. Little ones can enjoy the play area, while the small reception shop is handy for picking up essentials or anything you may have forgotten. Up to two dogs are welcome onsite, so your four-legged friend can join the adventure too! Raised BBQs are permitted onsite. However, campfires and fire pits are not allowed.

The site is open from Easter until the end of September.

A facility block is on-site with free toilets, showers, a family washroom/accessible bathroom with baby-changing facilities and a walk in shower, and a washing up area. An ice pack freezer, a launderette, and chargeable WiFi are also available for guest use. For little ones, there's an outdoor play area.

For dining out, Hirst's Farm Shop and Cafe is within a 15 minute walk, and there is also The Jolly Farmers and Whites Lounge Bar, which are a 20 minute walk away. A Premier is a ten minute walk away, or there is a really small shop in reception for forgotten camping essentials.

*No all male/female groups. No toilet tents.

*Gazebos and small extra tents strictly by prior arrangement due to spacing requirements.

*No commercial vehicles of any type including all vans and sign written vehicles. Please check if in doubt.

*All tents 6m or more in length or width require either an oversize non-electric or super pitch.

*Raised BBQs are permitted. Campfires are not allowed.

*Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times. The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act.

*Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am.

*The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted onsite.


Things to do on site and in the Great Yarmouth area

The site is ideally located just a five minute drive from the sandy coast, with beaches including Hemsby Beach, making it a great spot for family days out!

Head to the popular seaside town of Great Yarmouth, ten minutes away, home to attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Joyland Amusement Park, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Britannia Pier and Merrivale Model Village.

If walking, cycling and other outdoor activities are more your thing, make your way to the scenic Broads National Park (five minutes). Britain's largest protected wetland, it is home to an array of wildlife and nature reserves, including Hickling Broad and Marshes Nature Reserve (25 minutes), where you can explore waterside trails, enjoy boat tours and go birdwatching.

While here, you can also discover charming market towns and villages, including Wroxham, Horning and Hickling, each offering its own history and character. The city of Norwich is just 35 minutes away, with award-winning eateries, independent shops, historic attractions, markets and much more.
