Lovely little site for first timers. Just a little issue that was no Wi-Fi on park and no service for tv antenna. We had to talk to each other! But lovely site and lady on reception was fantastic. Couldn't fault the facilities- spotless!
Good stay

Compact and friendly site in a great location for the town and for exploring the surrounding area. Toilet block locks were a bit sticky but quickly got the knack of opening them.

We booked this site for a motorhome with an awning. The site is very peaceful, secure and clean and within walking distance of local amenities. There are several pubs serving food within a half mile walk from the site. There are several convenience stores within walking distance and there is a designer outlet also within easy walking distance, although there is plenty of parking there are well (get there early if you have want to get a motorhome parked). Gretna Green and the famous blacksmiths is a couple of miles away. Easy to cycle or walk to. There is a large car park at the visitor centre in Gretna Green. Worth a visit. Back to the site itself - our motorhome habitation door is on the right hand side of the van and we were right on the end of a row of pitches, next to a small tree, so facing nose out meant there was no way we could get an awning up or even put our canopy out due to the small tree in the way. We could have driven forward into the pitch, but when we read the list of rules, we realised that we couldn't use our awning anyway because you are not allowed to use groundsheets of any kind on the grass and our awning has a built in groundsheet. Their site does not mention this so it's something to be mindful of. Our awning is also rather large and would have been touching the caravan next to us if we had put it up. We were very lucky with the weather, so the awning was not a deal breaker, but had it been raining, we wouldn't have had anywhere to put wet or muddy gear. I think if I was returning, I would go for a super pitch instead so there was plenty of room for an awning and they are fully hardstanding. The site was clean and staff were friendly. The showers are coin operated and take 20 pence pieces. You can get these from reception within opening hours if you need them. Toilets and shower blocks are locked and you are given a key at check in and a fob for the barriers. Park has free Wi-Fi, although we didn't have much success connecting to it, but it might be better closer to the park reception. Site is well situated and close to the motorway for onward travel. If you are sensitive to road noise at night, this might not be the site for you. Personally, it didn't bother me, but I could hear it when I woke up through the night. All in all, a lovely little site and I would stay there again if in the area.
Well run, pleasant site

Just off the motorway at Gretna, this site is ideally placed for a short visit to the Debateable Lands. It's also an ideal stop over site if you are heading further north or crossing the border to England. Friendly, clean and efficient. Be good to make the showers included in the pitch price and replace key locks on doors to the facilities with a key pad.
Well placed, quiet site

Nice little site situated in Gretna and close to shops. A good pitch size, the facilities were adequate and clean. Good motorhome service area. My only issue and it is very small issue, was the road noise as it was close to the main road through Grenta and I could hear the A75. The staff were lovely.

Nice enough site, although part of the road was a bit muddy. Staff were outstanding, changing our pitch because our extension lead was too short to reach the outlet. Then, probably because of the plug on our lead, the new electric point didn't work. So we moved again and this time it worked in an older point. The guy couldn't have been more helpful. Then our key wouldn't open the gents toilet, and the dish washing area at our part of the site, although there were similar facilities a bit further away. I think we were just unlucky, as the plumber was coming the next day to fix it. The site is only a 10 minute stroll in to Gretna, with a few hotels nearby, with bars open to non residents too. All in all, a decent place to spend the night, but we felt was a little bit expansive for what it is. But then, we feel most sites are too expensive.
A really lovely campsite!

This is a lovely campsite in an ideal location. The staff were very friendly, explained their facilities and the pitches are well laid out. The toilet and shower facilities were very clean, a little dated but that doesn't really matter when you're camping! The hot showers were 20p, which we were more than happy to pay, as they were really clean and spacious. We dined next door, so it's ideal for a place to stop over with local amenities. It was very quiet in the evening and everyone seemed friendly. Would highly recommend!

We stayed here after a long drive from Scotland. Site staff and owners very friendly and helpful - we had to change our booking date last minute and they were happy to facilitate. The location is great to explore Gretna and shops and restaurants within walking distance. It's not a remote campsite. Facilities clean and perfectly usable but felt shower/toilets are a little outdated vs some other places we stayed, but, as mentioned, very clean and usable.

This was a lovely little site on the outskirts of Gretna. It didn't matter what time of day you visited the toilet/shower blocks they were always spotless with plenty hot water. It was family friendly, there was toilet paper and scented soap (almost home from home). We will definitely visit this site again soon.

Great site with only a 10 minute walk to the outlet and 15-20 minutes to Gretna Green. Local amenities were close by too. All the facilities were spotless and the pitches were lovely and level. Definitely will be back.
