First camping trip for my son. He loved it. The countryside was beautiful and the site was lovely. It was a positive experience for him and he wants to go again.

This is a lovely, clean site. It was very quiet while I stayed there. The only downside is the airport that's very close and has a lot of planes taking off during the night, so a good, quiet night's sleep is impossible.

A nice site with great views and a great location, slap bang between some of the most popular Peak District attractions. I was a little surprised at the lack of flat spots to camp - a lot of people must've woken up with sore necks, though we were early enough to grab a flat and quiet corner. Be sure to arrive early and avoid the hilly bits! As with many areas of the Peaks, there is some noise from planes coming into Manchester, and can be a little noisy overnight, but that's impossible to avoid in this area.

This is a lovely little campsite. It's nice and rural, on a working farm. There are four fields - the electric hook-up is the most sheltered, and the family field has the best views. I phoned ahead and ordered a pizza, so that by the time I'd arrived and pitched my tent it was ready - perfect! The showers are hot and very clean, the coffee machine and snack machine were very welcome too. A really lovely campsite - I'll be back!

We had an enjoyable few days at Knotlow camp which gave us the opportunity of walking the Limestone Way and Lathkill Dale. The site is extremely well kept with excellent shower and toilet facilities. It is situated within a short distance of the village Monyash which has a great pub and tea room and handy for Tideswell, Bakewell and Buxton for shopping.

Well kept site with plenty of space on several nicely mown fields. Showers and facilities were clean and tidy. Maybe the Wi-Fi could have a booster that reached the camping fields, but maybe it was nice to get away from the Internet for a while, too!

Lovely little farm camping site. Very quiet and peaceful. First time camping and really enjoyed it, just a shame the weather wasn't playing ball. Would definitely return again.

Lovely, peaceful site, perfect for our short family trip. Site is well kept with good facilities and cleaner regularly. The small shop, breakfast items and pizzas were really helpful. The site is fairly sloped, so to be aware.

Absolutely wonderful place. The owners are so helpful and friendly. We forgot our tent poles and the kind lady that owns the site lent us some old ones and saved us from an hour and half trip back home. Extremely peaceful and quiet at nights. Spacious pitches. Immaculately clean showers, toilets and washing up areas. They serve bacon, sausage breakfast butties, pizzas at night. Must pre order. Ideal peaceful location and not too far from the beautiful bakewell and buxton. We will be returning in August and can't wait

Staying at Knotlow was a lovely experience, the wildlife, the campsite and those who staffed it were unmatched. Would highly recommend. The four days were cold and windy with a bit of rain and I was still happy to stay at the site and had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Our first time staying here. The facilities are pristine, clean and no fault with them or the owners, who were very helpful and accommodating. The site was very well maintained and the location was bliss, so peaceful (we stayed out of school holidays so couldn't comment on how busy it would be but it's well spaced out) very picturesque for a few days away to recharge. It is a working farm, so there was the noise from animals you would expect to hear but that's the charm of the place, and the character It's best suited to those looking for a relaxing time away, close to the wonders of the Peak District. Wouldn't hesitate in coming back and in fact planning our next visit and we only just got home 😍

Very good site, managed with good detail and friendliness. Easy walk to nearest pub and benefits from being on The Limestone Way. Clear rules and three distinct areas help to create a very relaxed environment for everyone. Fantastic breakfast options featuring local produce. Pizza offering for dinner looked great. Good sized pitches and large enough, regularly cleaned facilities. Dogs accepted.

Quiet location with large fields to choose your space for camping though some areas were sloped the zone I was in was very quiet so I had no problem in finding a flat pitch well away from other campers. The facilities are located in a central "barn" conversion which meant a couple of minutes walk to use. These were well stocked and spotless. However, I imagine that there could be a queue if all the available camping pitches were in use. Shower was pay for use (20p per 2 minutes) but provided high pressure, hot water, so no complaints. Good location to gain access by road to many Peak District attractions and walks with the added bonus of ability to join walks from the site itself (including a pleasant stroll to a local pub around 15 minutes away).
