A very welcoming campsite and as a lone female camper I felt very safe and looked out for. The June birdsong in the evening and morning was wonderful- a peaceful place surrounded by thick bushes and trees and where I spotted 2 grey squirrels frolicking about in the branches and a pair of thrushes zooming about for insects on the grass. Highly recommended for Bovey Tracey Craft Festival if you want to be a little bit further out of the town and be in true nature.

Immaculate facilities on a nice size campsite, nice to have the option of a local farmer BBQ and small shop for essentials.

Great location nestled within a wooded area, campsite is easily navigable. Very friendly and helpful staff, greeted us warmly on arrival. Also very attentive and ensure facilities are clean. Level and great sized pitch. The quietest campsite we stayed at during our travels. Clean and plentiful amenities, showers and toilets were excellent. BBQ on size with advertised fish and chips on some days.

Nice field to walk dogs. All facilities were spotlessly clean. J.J. Meats arrived Saturday evening for a yummy BBQ. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay if you want to get away into the peace and quiet, for a reasonable price. Friendly staff, very tidy campsite and clean facilities. Very good walks around the site and a nice pub not a very long walk away. Would recommend to anyone.

We came for the bank holiday weekend and from start to finish was so lovey and relaxing. The lady at reception was so warm and friendly, couldn't do enough for you (even got us some batteries for our remote control). The toilets and showers were always lovely and clean. BBQ visits on Fri and Sat nights or there's a pub 20 minutes walk away which serves good food at reasonable prices. Definitely be back.

The site is ideally located for access to Dartmoor and surrounding area. Staff are friendly and I received a warm welcome on arrival. Facilities are immaculate with a number of awards for the toilet facilities. Each pitch is well maintained and level. The site is surrounded by mature trees with a grassed area centrally. A local farmer arrived on the Saturday to provide an excellent and cost effective BBQ.

Very welcoming owners - really nice toilets and showers - lovely walk down the Ant trail which leads to a nice pub called the Clay Cutters for a pint and good food. Unfortunately for our stay, it was raining but we did manage to get a few hours in the dry, then as we were leaving, the sun came out which is frustrating as we had requested sun on the booking form. We were on pitch 12 which was spot on, nice and level. Overall, a really nice little site, we will be back see you soon.

The campsite itself and the owners were top class, but it was a very wet, stormy and muddy holiday. Possibly put us off camping for life, as it was only our second camping holiday in 40 years, maybe we will get lucky if we try again. Thank you to the owners, they were very helpful, considerate and sympathetic to our stay. They were really lovely, and kept everything in the wash room and toilet/shower block spotlessly clean.

This was the first time we visited this site and would recommend it to anyone. The facilities were very clean, the location was perfect and the pitch was just right. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, if you had any questions or suggestions. We will definitely use this site again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Perfectly positioned to get where we wanted in Devon, friendly and helpful owners. Great, immaculately clean facilities with lots of hot water and a freezer. The visiting fish and chip van and coffee shop were an added bonus - though we didn't get round to trying the visiting BBQ. Very civilised and quiet site. Tiny bit of distant road noise at rush hour - but this seemed very fair given that it made everything so accessible. Look forward to visiting again.

Excellent site and service, needed to book extra night with no problem. Seat required outside of shower cubicles so shoes and socks can go on. Male block only, females already done.

Lovely, clean site, with two wonderful hosts who made sure everything was prefect during our stay. Being an adult only site, sorry families, for us it was nice to have a site free from children. Loved the pop up BBQ on the Friday with sirloin steak, corn on the cob and potatoes. Was a great start to our short stay without having to cook. Pub is only 20 minutes away via the ant trail, do a lovely Sunday roast. Certainly will be returning in the New Year.

Friendly owners and a friendly campsite. Enjoyed Friday night barbecue with most campers outside on their pitches either enjoying the visiting butcher's barbecue or cooking their own. Saturday morning's coffee van with croissants and pastries was very welcome.

We're so happy to have found Oakmoor for our first experience going away in our Bongo. Debbie & Allan are wonderful, welcoming hosts who have built their dream together and done a fabulous job. It is so tranquil, relaxing and friendly, with just a touch of magic vibe that you can't help but fall in love with it 💕 Plus it's dog friendly and adult only (sorry, nothing against children). The pitches are generous, we had a gravel and grass one with electric. The facilities are spotless and comfy, the site is very well maintained with love and an enthusiastic proudness, which is well deserved. The added bonus of available pop up catering on certain mornings and nights is great. There are some beautiful views and it's located near places of outstanding natural beauty, Chudleigh Knighton Nature reserve & Dartmoor with great walks. Also walkable distance to Bovey Tracey, which we did, and others with lovely pubs, cafes & shops. Oakwood has something for everyone and anyone reading this that might think I'm a family member promoting the site, but I'm honestly not! You are treated as such, with a genuine interest in wanting their guests to have an enjoyable stay, which I just think needs recognition. Needless to say, we will be back 😊

Nice quiet pitch. The cleanliness would put most motorway services to shame. Monday nights, Fairy Codmother visit meant enjoyable, cooked to order meals. The hosts are friendly and helpful. It's nice to see the stars at night properly. Electric hook-ups are plug and go, not like some where you have to press buttons which don't seem to match up.
