About the site


This multi-award-winning, adult only (15+) site is located on the Grange Garden Centre complex, set in the stunning Wreake Valley. Guests can also visit the award-winning Mountain Restaurant (open daily) for a tasty breakfast, lunch, or afternoon treat! For tent campers, there are four allocated pitches on a separate field. These come with metered electric hook ups. For campervans, caravans, roof tents and motorhomes, there are 26 hardstanding fully serviced pitches ranging from standard (9m x 8m), supersize (up to 17m x 9m) to the deluxe 'The Meadows' (10m x 10m) pitches with private picnic benches. These pitches have metered 16 amp electric, grey water disposal, mains water and free WiFi. The Mongolian yurt offers a cosy stay for two. It comes with a comfy double bed (bedding and towels provided), tea, coffee, milk, a small fridge, microwave, furniture and an electric fireplace. A bus stop is ideally situated at the end of the drive (a five minute walk away). From here, you can pick up services to Melton Mowbray, Grantham, Leicester and Loughborough. Nottingham is also just a 35 minute drive away. Four-legged friends are welcome to join you on your stay and also in the Mountain Restaurant. Gas BBQs are welcome onsite, but disposable BBQs or fire pits are not permitted. You can also purchase Calor Gas at the onsite shop.

The onsite facilities building 'The Farmhouse' include men's and women's toilets and showers, as well as easy access toilet and shower facilities, all with underfloor heating powered by air source heat pumps and solar energy. There is also a washing up area, dog wash and local dog walks.

A park shop sells essentials, local produce and gifts, along with offering Calor Gas. The Mountain Restaurant is onsite, a French Ski Lodge-inspired restaurant (open daily from 9am to 5pm with food until 3.30pm). Menu options include Sunday roasts, afternoon tea, pies, sandwiches and delicious homemade lasagne.

The site is located next to The Grange Garden Centre (open daily from 9am to 5pm). Brockleby's Bakery Outlet is also next door for local pies and pie making experiences. A bus stop at the top of the drive provides a regular bus service into Melton Mowbray (5 minute drive), known as the food capital of the East Midlands, where there is also a wide range of cafes, supermarkets and pubs.

*The site operate a quiet park; please give consideration to all other guests and keep noise levels to an absolute minimum between 9.30pm and 8am. They do not allow amplified music which may disturb other campers, all music and media devices must be played on low volume for your individual listening during your stay.

*Check-in is 2pm-5pm and Check Out time 11am. If you would like to arrive or depart out of these hours, then please let the site know.

*Upon arrival all guests should park at the park carpark shown on the site map and check-in at the park reception with your online booking reference details. There is strictly no access onto your pitch for arrivals after 19.00 British summer time hours or 18.00 winter time hours to our Park , in these circumstances if you arrive after this time then a parking space will be available in the site carpark. Reception will be open at 9am for you to check in the following morning.

*They cannot provide refunds for missed nights.

*For the enjoyment of our quiet park, they do not allow any vehicle movement after 9.30pm on our Park unless in an Emergency Situation. Vehicles will be able to leave the Park during these hours but upon return to the Park will have to park in the carpark until 7am the next morning. No refund will be given for any nights not spent on the booked Camping Field or Hardstanding Pitch once arrived.

*Each booking includes two guests.

*The Camping Field is a tent area only. You will be shown upon arrival where to park for loading and unloading near your pitch.

*Electric is metered on Hardstanding touring pitches.

*If you are part of a group booking of eight people or more, please let the site know beforehand.

*No hen/stag parties or weddings are allowed in the Park.

*Dogs are welcome onsite but it remains your responsibility at all times. Please do not leave them unattended and keep them on leads during your stay.

*Visitors are not permitted on the Camping field or Hardstanding pitches at any time, unless agreed in advance.

*One motor vehicle per pitch. If you need to bring more than one, then please let the site know.

*Maximum speed limit onsite is strictly 5mph.

* You will be asked to leave our site if any of the above Park Rules or Terms and Conditions are breached, or if any of the staff deem that disruption is caused to our Park.

Check-in at The Grange Camping and Caravan Park is available between 2pm and 5pm on Friday and 1pm and 4pm Saturday to Thursday. Check out is due by 11am on your final day.

When you arrive at The Grange Camping and Caravan Park, guests will need to park outside The Farmhouse and head to reception to check-in with your booking details. If you are going to arrive after 5pm, please let the site know and they will do their best to accommodate you. There is no access for arrivals after 7pm in the summer and 6pm in the winter. If you arrive after this time, there is a parking space in the car park and reception will be open at 9am for you to check in the following morning. On the day of your departure, you will just need to make sure you leave no rubbish behind and check out by the allocated time.

Upon visiting the park, the Grange Camping and Caravan Park's passion for wildlife and conservation is apparent. Our pond, conservation area, trees, and over 50 wildlife and bird boxes provide a home for an abundance of wildlife and birds.

Our main facilities building, 'The Farmhouse', is heated by air source heat pumps and solar panels, and all the water from the whole site is filtered by our Reed Beds.

We are proud to be an award-winning site for our park and regenerative business, and we have also made our pledge for 'The David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature' and completed Carbon Literacy courses.

Right onsite, you'll find The Grange Garden Centre. You can browse plants, gifts and homeware, then relax with a coffee and cake in the award winning Mountain Restaurant.

Just five minutes away is the famous market town of Melton Mowbray, known as the food capital of the East Midlands, famous for its pork pies and Stilton cheese. Stroll through the historic streets, visit the local shops and markets, or enjoy lunch in one of the traditional pubs or cafes.
