May Bank Holiday weekend camping

Lovely site in a great location, 10 minute walk to the beautiful Happisburgh beach and lighthouse and not too far from other North Norfolk beauty spots. The campsite is very well organised and the staff were really friendly. There's a little shop by reception that sells essentials, gifts, toys for the kids and a nice selection of beers and wine. I found the shop to be very reasonably priced. The pitches are well spaced out and very tidy. The toilets/showers were spotlessly clean upon arrival. There is also a laundry, but we never needed to use it, so I can't fairly comment on that but all the machines looked very modern and the area was again spotless. There are 4 washing up areas next to the toilets, which were again very clean and tidy. Unfortunately some of the guests were quite filthy in the toilets and showers, they chose not to clean up after themselves, but the site has a lovely cleaner who keeps everything looking wonderful. I felt sorry for her, because some people are very inconsiderate, but she was very cheerful and got on with it without complaint. We had electric hook-up, which worked perfectly, and the pitch had access to fresh running water. There is no entertainment on the site, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for value. I felt it was slightly overpriced compared to other sites I'd researched, which had heated pools and more going on on-site, but due to the friendliness of the owners, the wonderful cleaner and overall location, I wouldn't hesitate to book again. I also love they allow dogs. Thank you Manor Caravan Park.

First impression, a lovely site, however...

What a pity. On first impressions, the site seemed lovely. However, as we started to put the awning up, we noticed several very large holes in the grass. This was a hazard every time you accidentally stood on one. The toilet block and showers were clean and we were impressed with these. But first morning, we found gents and ladies toilets had no toilet paper at all in any cubicle, so we did not think these had been checked. The other issue I had with the site was the lack of space between caravans and motorhomes. I thought due to fire regs that there was supposed to be a certain distance between units (I know this from other sites we have stayed on). It appeared that they fit in as many vehicles in as they could. It's a shame as we would have revisited the site, but not now.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We apologise for the lack of toilet tissue in both the male and female shower block on your first morning. I'm afraid this was an oversight but am sure after reading all of our previous reviews you will agree that we take great pride in keeping our shower block clean and well tended and therefore benefit from many positive comments from our campers. We do regularly inspect our camping field and were unaware of any large holes, we'll be sure to deal with these appropriately. Thank you for bringing these to our attention.

Excellent stay

Stayed for 2 nights over May Bank Holiday. Lovely site with lovely and clean facilities. Would stay again without hesitation. Helpful staff.

Lovely clean site

A really lovely site with friendly, helpful staff who did all they could to make it a great stay! The beach is about 10 minutes walk away, although there are no facilities at the beach other than toilets. The local pub is only a five minute walk, but book in advance if you want to eat there. We went to The Lighthouse Inn at Walcott which was lovely A walk along the beach to Smalls Ricks Cafe is also well worth a visit! The onsite facilities were kept clean and the onsite store opens 10am-5pm daily. Only two things missing in the shower block, a full length mirror and somewhere to plug hairdryers in (although there was one available fitted to the wall). There is no play area, which didn't matter to us, but an observation for anyone with young children. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a lovely location with great staff....highly recommend!

Spotless

Fantastic service and immaculately clean facilities. Not many facilities for the children on the site, but there was a play area and the beach is only a short walk away. We had a lovely time, thank you very much. PS: A special thanks to the person in the shop who let my daughter buy some bubbles, even though she was 10p short!

First timers

Absolutely spot on. So clean, so welcoming, so pretty. As our first ever motorhome trip any future trips will have a lot to live up to! Despite the horrendous weather! Thank you so much! That shower block!!!! Just wow!

Lovely site

Lovely site with well equipped, clean facilities. Great walk to the pub and beach with the dogs finished off with tea from the visiting fish and chip van - perfect!

Great place!

I highly recommend it, only advantages! Very clean and well-kept place with very nice and helpful staff.

Very good site

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The site, showers and toilets were very clean. The freezer was in need of a clean. Really enjoyed our stay. I did request a quiet pitch but was placed between 2 occupied pitches, although there were plenty of other vacant pitches. Don't know why we couldn't be spread out more?

Great site would recommend

Great site, great location being walking distance to Happisburgh beach. Pitches were an average size (could be cramped when full). Facilities were spotlessly clean. Nothing much in immediate area, but good for touring the Norfolk coast by car. Weather was amazing, so the beach was all I needed!

Fabulous site, good in every way

Amazing site. Warm welcome at reception. Lovely pitch, great views and easy walk to beach, village, pub and church. Modern and very clean facilities.

Great location

My only suggestion is that the shop could be a little better stocked, including fresh fruit & veg, but this is a minor issue. Lovely stay with a 10 minute walk to beautiful beach.

Manor caravan park

Great place, peaceful. Would say it's not for families with young children as there is no play area on site but it is close to the beach and there is a play area no more than a 10 minute walk away.

Excellent campsite

I've camped all over the country for 40 + years. This is the best and cleanest campsite I've ever been on. Well looked after and maintained and very peaceful. Friendly staff make it a pleasure to camp. Even a mobile fish and chip van in the evenings.

Friendly & spotlessly clean site in a wonderful location. Handy for Happisburgh Beach & local pub. A lovely place to stay. We'll be back.

Lovely place

We had a lovely stay here. Glad we pitched on the church pitch, as it seemed much quieter with more space. Do think pitches are too small and close together in parts. It wasn't busy at our end, which was lovely, but I can imagine at peak times, our review may not have been as glowing. Lovely staff! Toilets and showers constantly cleaned and spotless. Lack of cold water to brush teeth was odd. You need a bottle of your own water as all taps are dual and hot. The water in showers left us feeling like there was an oily residue to the water, which was less pleasant. Overall, it was a really beautiful find.

The site is in a great location, with lovely walks and close to the beach. The staff are helpful and friendly. The toilet/ showers are modern and extremely clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely site, great facilities including little shop, modern toilet and shower facilities and helpful staff

Would fully recommend this site and I am sure we will return. Excellent location and all is kept very clean and tidy and the layout is well thought out. Super modern facilities, super staff, super relaxing. Had tea from a local fish and chip van that visits the site each week, blooming lovely. Super location for exploring the coast and blessed with great weather.

Brilliant localisation.

Great site and location

Great little site in a lovely picturesque location. Facilities seemed brand new and were kept spotlessly clean by a (seemingly ever-present) lovely cleaning lady. Pitches were well maintained and there was a nice friendly feeling about the place and no loud music or any such problems late at night. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Our stay

Lovely site, facilities were clean and modern to a very high standard. People running this were really helpful, I would recommend this site. Plenty of room on pitch. Overall a very wonderful experience.

Just a couple of nights with our grandson

Stayed with our grandson for a couple of days, was perfect for us.
