The Boe Rigg is a family friendly site in Northumberland's National Park, just five minutes from Bellingham and an hour from Newcastle upon Tyne. Choose between spacious non electric or electric grass tent pitches or electric hardstanding pitches for tourers. Some pitches are left slightly wild to give a more remote camping experience. Great onsite facilities with a bar/restaurant which serves locally made produce and crafts. Dog friendly.

Site easy to find, checked in with ease, no issues. Pitches are a good size and cars easily parked by your pitch. Toilets and showers available 24/7 and kept well maintained. Pub on site with beer garden/sheltered seating. Co-op less than a 5 minute drive.

Just came back from staying at The Boe Rigg. We were booked for one night as the Saturday was fully booked. We got an email on the Friday letting us know there had been a cancellation for the Saturday night which we jumped at the chance to fill the slot. Staff were fantastic and pleasant. Neil and Linda were fab hosts nothing was a bother. The children loved the amount of space to run around the rope swing and exploring the streams and visiting the animals on site. Restaurant was lovely and very reasonably priced. The tea room is very peaceful and sells some amazing things. The showers and toilets were always cleaned and well stocked. We didn't have the best weather but we will definitely be returning. Hopefully with more sunny spells.

This was a brilliant site had a lovely walk to take dogs on too. We had electrics which we prefer. Lovely toilet and shower facilities cleaned daily. We ate food in the bar and both the drinks and the food were perfect compliments to the chef. Would recommend it.

For our 1st camping trip with our two younger kids was fantastic, really enjoyable campsite. Nicely spaced pitches with a lot of room. Bar & restaurant is very handy & all the service was great. Location perfect for heading into Kielder for an explore. Can definitely see this campsite becoming our family camping spot.

Really pleasant, peaceful stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves some really lovely food and is very reasonably priced. Only 5 minutes drive from Bellingham, which has a co-op, pharmacy and several pubs. Would definitely return!

Great location, set amongst trees and water and a well maintained site with plenty of spaced out pitches. With regards to facilities, there's clearly work ongoing and will be probably be great by summer. Unfortunately, our pitch neighbours were incredibly intoxicated and disruptive (noted by the owners at the bar at 4pm), they didn't 'quieten down' until 2am when they were asked by another guest to stop. Given that their behaviour had been acknowledged earlier in the day, it would have been nice to be provided with another pitch away from them. Instead, we were left with a rather restless night!

Lovely spot with stunning views and friendly service. Lots of space between plots. Only minor comment would be the toilets and showers are in a bit of a need of a freshen up, but do the job perfectly fine.

We stayed for 2 nights on Good Friday wasn't overly busy, tent pitches were a good, was two electric points per pitch and there was a standing water pipe per 2 pitches. Toilets and shower room were spotless, bar area small but lovely. The only downfall is that there's only one sink to wash any dishes but wasn't really an issue this weekend.

The owner was friendly, the staff were excellent, food was delicious, location was great. Loved my stay nights were cold. Nice friendly site would go back to stay. The bathrooms need a bit TLC, other than that, no complaints.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Very quiet, peaceful site with lovely views. The communal areas (showers, toilets and washing up room with laundry) are heated and clean. Much appreciated, as the weather was bitterly cold when we were there! The cosy bar and lovely restaurant food cooked fresh by Neil was very very good. Neil and Linda made us very welcome and made what could have been a cold experience into a delightful one.

We stayed at Boe Rigg for 3 nights - 4-7 March. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is superb - very quiet but a short drive - 20 mins or so - or decent cycle ride to Kielder Lake and Forest where there are superb walks and cycle tracks. Bellingham is only 5 mins in the car and has pubs cafes and shops. There are limited electrical hook ups so best to book in season. The toilet block is clean and showers fine. There is a cafe and restaurant on site and the food is amazing - and big quantities! We have marked down a little as there seems to be quite a bit of work going on to improve the place and there are building bits lying around. A bit of a clear up needed to improve the scores and justify price. Overall, we had a good stay.

Had a very enjoyable weekend visit. The site was very quiet, although it was a weekend in February, but the owners were very hospitable. Service in the bar and restaurant was very good and the food was delicious. Excellent breakfast too. The site is also five minutes from Bellingham which is well-served with shops, pubs and cafes.
Fabulous place, can’t wait to book again for longer!

A lovely, rural sight, with fabulous views and great for children as lots of animals to see. The owners let my children feed the sheep and geese and it made their trip! Lovely food, lovely welcoming bar and restaurant and very friendly people.

Stopped here for two nights whilst walking at Kielder Forest. I checked in a little early and the owner made me a coffee free of charge. Shown to hook up facilities, all close by. A very quiet campsite with a big restaurant attached. I would stay again.
