This remote and quiet spot is the only campsite in the Galloway Forest Park and the UK's first Dark Sky Park. All facilities are modern and maintained to a high standard for both tents and tourers. And you're staying at the perfect base camp for outdoor thrills, set close to the Southern Upland Way and 7Stanes Mountain Biking Trails. In reach of the Robert the Bruce stone, Merrick Trail and more.
About the site
This is a quiet campsite, and it's the perfect place to rest and relax in between exploring the 300 square miles of rugged, breathtaking landscapes in the park, which are home to a wide variety of wildlife. It's set on the edge of Britain's largest forest the Galloway Forest Park, famous as a Dark Sky Park with fantastic stargazing. There are 14 large, hardstanding pitches for caravans and motorhomes, all with electricity available, plus non electric and electric tent pitches. There are also holiday static caravans available to hire - perfect for family holiday breaks.

Site rules and policies
* Check-in from 1pm to anytime. Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible.
*Check out by 12pm on the day of your departure.
*Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
*The toilet and shower facilities are closed between 01/11 - 01/03.
*The site's quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am.
*Please ensure dogs are kept on their leads at all times.
