Would not return Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Hardstanding Pitches May 2026 No heating in toilets or showers. Light goes out. 10 second showers, have to hold button all time or it'll stop.
Could not sleep for 3 nights. The noise behind us, caravans are only 1m away at rear.
The site is clean and tidy. The hard standing is very hard, big rocks. The site is overpriced for no facilities, other than toilet and a shower that's so small, you can't really move. No shower mirror to shave. Then having to pay extra for electricity at an expensive rate. Only had a TV and fridge on. The only site I've ever paid extra on. Would not be returning.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Had we been aware that you weren't happy with your pitch, we would have been more than happy to find you another. This isn't always possible, but during your stay that wouldn't have been a problem at all.
Mirrors in the shower area would steam up so we provide them in front of the sinks where most people prefer to shave. There is a family room in each block which anyone is welcome to use if they prefer more space when washing or showering.
A lot of sites charge an extra £5 or £10 per night for a pitch with electric hookup. All of our pitches have electricity available but there is no obligation to use and it is charged according to usage. Caravans and motorhomes typically use about £2 per night, campers less than that and tents usually less than 50p/day.

Nice and private pitches between hedges if a hard standing is booked. Toilets and showers very clean, diffuser smell in there is very nice.
We used the onsite restaurant which was Thai food but also noticed they served burgers too. The food was delicious and good value, just bring along your own alcohol.
Would definitely recommend this site and we will revisit it in the future.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2026 We had a very peaceful stay. The site is well laid out and we loved the privacy hedging. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Everywhere is very well looked after and the facilities are very clean. A real bonus to have the Thai cafe on site which we used twice during our stay. We have ear marked this site in our list of “must” visit again!

Lovely site, loved the self check in
Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Really lovely site, we'll be coming back. Very tidy and clean. We stayed on the grass and self check in was so easy, lots of information to know what to do. The facilities were really clean and regularly checked. The toilets were so nice they felt like what you'd find in a corporate office building. Reception and shop was small but had the essentials. We tired out the Thai restaurant on site which was great too

Great site with spacious pitches and fab dog walk
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. The site is clean and well run. Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. Great Thai restaurant on site was a big plus. Used an I.S map to plot a walk to Fordingbridge across farmlands and fields avoiding roads all the way to Fordingbridge church. Good pubs, good food. Will return.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Well laid out site, big pitches, nice walk from site to the local village and pub through woods which is great from walking our dog. Feels a little impersonal with no face to face arrival, however everything was very smooth.

Thank you for your review. Guests are always welcome to come into reception and the shop for a chat, some like to do that on arrival or later and others appreciate being able to set up without delay after a long drive.
Peaceful and clean
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 Overall, this is a nice campsite, slightly away from the main New Forest areas but within easy reach.
The campsite was very clean, with good, newly appointed washrooms up by the main building. The pitches are spacious and flat and you certainly don't feel you're on top of each other. On the whole, a good and positive experience, with the only negative observation being the site lacked a bit of character/human interaction. The closest we got to contact with someone working at the site was being gestured at to put our dog on a lead from a sit-on mower 75yds away.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We have staff working on site all day every day and there is someone in the reception/shop and all are very welcome to come in for advice or a general chat.
We have an on-lead rule for dogs on the campsite but guests are very welcome to walk them off the lead once they get through the gate into the woods.

Single Axle Caravan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Lovely little campsite with clean and comfortable toilet & shower facilities.
The on site Thai restaurant is wonderful as are the friendly staff. Very accommodating for us and our little dog.
We've stayed in both areas of the site. The 2nd time we chose the hedged off pitches. The only down side to that was kids walking through our 'area' by the gaps in the hedges.
All in all wonderful stays and fabulous, smiley & friendly site staff.

Excellent site
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2026 Gravel hardstanding and grass pitches. Facilities were clean and well presented. Plenty of waste disposal areas which were well organised. Low hedging between pitches gave privacy.

Great Campsite
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2026 A lovely campsite with excellent facilities. The showers and toilets were spotless and clearly very well maintained. The on‑site Thai restaurant is a brilliant bonus, and the location itself is perfect for a relaxing stay. I’d certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping experience.

Paying separately for electricity is a pain, but I understand it's a good environmental decision.

We installed the pre-paid electric meter system in 2024 and most guests appreciate only paying for what they use and usually much less than the extra they would pay for an electric pitch where electricity is not metered.

Great stop
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2025 I have to say we loved this site. A fantastic pitch - first time on a meter for electric, but worked in our favour for two nights at £2.50. Great walks, pub nearby - we didn't eat at, but will next time.
Dog loved the walking area and the woods. Thanks will be back.

Really nice site, quiet and exceptionally well looked after
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2025 So easy to access site and go straight to your pitch. Staff were great, facilities really good - so clean and well looked after. Great walk to the local village and then had a fantastic meal at the onsite Thai Restaurant. Overall wholeheartedly recommend.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2025 Really lovely clean and well maintained site. Having the Thai restaurant on site was an added bonus. Reasonably priced and can take alcohol in with you. They do not serve alcohol.
The toilets and showers are clean and are heated for those cold nights. The hardstanding pitches have hedges between so offer some privacy. There's walking routes from the site also.
