About the site

Inside Out Camping is set in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lake District. Access to the hills and lakes of the area is easy, as it's all right on your doorstep. The nearby town of Keswick is only 8 miles up the road and has all the shops and amenities you would expect to keep you busy. Derwentwater with all its activity options is only a 10 minute drive. The furnished yurts sleep up to five inside, on futon style beds (a double and two singles which can be pushed together) with bedding for four provided. An air bed for the fifth person can be provided, please bring your own bedding. They include crockery and cooking equipment, gas hobs and a grill. They're spacious enough to walk around in and have a lovely skylight in the roof. All have access to shared toilets and showers nearby.

Yurt - YurtsJul 2024

Myself and my partner enjoyed 3 nights in a yurt at Seatoller Farm and overall it was a lovely and much needed break away from city life for us. The location is perfect for the start of many hikes or for relaxing in beautiful scenery. The yurts come with all cutlery, pots and pans, glasses etc that you need, along with bedding and cushions. We found the double futon to be very hard on our backs, so added the mattresses from the other futons available. It's worth nothing that the yurts are very close to each other, so not the best if you did want complete privacy and also that the toilets are a 2 minute walk (no lights in the dark). The shower block is a 3/4 minute walk away, but with nice hot water, much appreciated after our hike up Scafell! Both the toilets and showers are shared with all other campers (tents and yurts). I would highly recommend pre-ordering pizzas, which are made fresh every Saturday evening, and having this by the fire at your yurt - they were delicious!

As a family of four and a dog, we found the yurt a perfect size for us. We had the best time and will definitely be returning. It was lovely to be completely off the grid with no phone signal and just enjoy each others company. The two boys (9) and (10) enjoyed playing in the lake and surrounding fields. Our yurt came equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Location is beautiful.
