Clear filters Great little campsite
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 We really enjoyed our short break at Little acres. The location was great for us. It was just off the motorway in a quiet spot, walking distance to The Crooklands where we had a lovely meal and a convenient bus stop outside there to Kirkby Lonsdale which is one of our favourite places to visit and only 16 minutes away .

Thank you for staying with us (& bringing some lovely weatehr with you !). The bus top across the road is very handy, with people either going to KL (as you did) or going the other way to Kendal and the Lake District beyond.

Return visit
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 Though the site location will not be to everyones taste, it is a location that has surprises! This is a return visit for us but this time with a caravan not a tent.
The facilities have been updated since our previous visit and more improvements (if that is the word) are due to start within a few days of our departure (12th May).
Paul has worked wonders with the site and facilities, always clean, plenty of good advice and the willingness to help anyone that needs it.
As said earlier, a return visit and hopefully more trips in the future.
A one word summary is impossible but a fair starting point would be BRILLIANT.

It's good to read that your stay with a caravan, rather than a tent worked out so well for you. Yes, the next phase of the improvements started today (13th May) and we have started the complete refurbishment and modernisation of our 2nd loo & shower block - we can't wait for its completion !
Locationwise, we are 2 mins from Junct 36 on the M6 and we're just 15 mins from the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Having a dog friendly pub that serves good food (& beer !) 200 yards away, bus stops to Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale outside the pub, a 24 hour petrol staion with shop less than half a mile from us which can be reached on foot without walking aside the road and the Lancaster Canal towpath which is only 15ft from our entrance are just some of the things that people enjoy about our location.
Hopefully you'll like our recently started and planned improvements for the future when you return. Paul

Overnight stay on way to Scotland
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 We arrived later than we had hoped due to traffic and weather conditions. A quick phone call to Paul put us at ease and he was waiting for us on our arrival to show us our pitch and where all the facilities were. He was extremely friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night on our way from Worcestershire to Scotland, so didn't get chance for a good look around. The site is alongside a gorgeous canal, which was great for walking our dogs. The nearby pub looked inviting as well. The brand new toilet and shower block is unbelievable. It's better than many expensive hotels we've stayed in. Overall, we can't recommend this site highly enough. Spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful and a lovely quiet location.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 This campsite was a really lovely find, probably the best we've stayed at in the last two weeks (on the way back from the NC500).
The showers/toilets here are totally awesome, modern, clean and spacious.
Paul the site manager was so helpful and friendly, I can't recommend this site highly enough!
The icing on the cake for this site is a smashing pub with great food just yards away.

What a fantastic find
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 Can't fault the site. Paul the owner can't do enough for you. Shower and toilet block are like a bathroom showroom, 20p for three minutes or 1p each if you've got 19 close friends (there's nearly enough room)! Pub across the road very welcoming with brilliant food but booking is advisable. We will be back.

Excellent little gem
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Lovely, quiet and little family-run site, with spaces for motorhomes, caravans and tents.
All motor pitches have water and electric hookups. A brand new toilet and shower block is now open, washing up and laundry machines are also in the block.
We had a lovely stay. The site is definitely recommended and we will return. A* 👍🏻

Very well maintained
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Very friendly welcome. Site shows all the signs of lots of investment and is very well maintained. Facility blocks are some the best we have encountered and worth the small charge for a shower. Location is great for walking along the adjacent canal.
The only negative I can identify is traffic noise, which only reduces very late in the day.

Just wow!
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 This was our last night away having done a mini tour round Ayrshire, Galloway Forest and the Lakes, so plenty of sites to compare and this was the nicest site of all.
Not just quiet and peaceful, but the facilities were spotless.
The owners obviously take great pride in their business and were very welcoming on arrival.
Would stay here again in a flash when up in that neck of the woods.

Excellent site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Good comms ahead of our visit meant we knew exactly which pitch and where it was prior to arrival. It's less than 5 minutes from the M6, making it handy as a stopover.
We had pretty much set up when the owner came over. Very friendly greeting and he showed us where the facilities were located. The new toilet/shower/amenities block was outstanding. Very clean and tidy, and there were individual shower rooms and toilets. They were finished to a very high standard.
Our pitch had a slight slope but was easily fixed with ramps. Plenty of fresh water taps dotted around the site too. The site was clean, tidy and well-maintained.
Out of the gate and straight onto the canal towpath opposite meant easy walks with the dogs.
We would happily visit again.

Relaxing stay
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Spent two nights. Lovely owner who talked us through all that was necessary. Amenities were spotless and modern. Not a big site but adequate for the 2 of us. The pub is a 2 minute walk away and Keswick a short drive also.
Would definitely stay again.

Simply superb
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Small Pitch Apr 2024 Simply superb in every way.
The location is brilliant for reaching so many places or for just one night stopover en route to the north or south. Minutes off the motorway but you cannot hear anything but the local surroundings.
Walks all around plus the added bonus of an amazing pub within a moment's walk - food, hospitality and beer are brilliant. Dog-friendly and just like the Little Acre team- faultless 😀

Lovely wee site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Lovely little site with one of the nicest toilet blocks we've used. Greeted by Paul the warden on arrival and given the choice of pitch as it was quiet. Only stayed 2 nights as we wanted to try our new motorhome out, but will definitely return. Lovely walks along the Lancaster Canal which runs along side the site and a great pub 200 yards away! Highly recommended!

Fantastic campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Motorhome and Campervan Pitches Apr 2024 We had stayed on this little campsite before and we thought it was amazing, sine then they have added a new toilet and shower block and all we can say is "WOW hotel standard or better".
Always clean and quiet, the owners are very friendly and helpful, pub/restaurant within walking distance and close enough to be near all areas of the Lake District but far enough away to be away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas.
Perfect place for a perfect break, yes would happily stay again.

Very friendly owners. Peaceful location. Crooklands pub is just a minute's walk away. Dog friendly. Kendal's a 15-minute drive.
