Fabulous campsite

First time here and had a lovely welcome on arrival. The facilities are excellent and toilets and showers really clean.. There are fridges available to keep your foodstuffs cool, microwave and toaster for general use. We had a great 2 days and would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic stay

We had such a lush time absolutely spotless campsite showers and toilets always clean , brilliant fasilities excellent staff really helpful & friendly ,the baby loves all the animals really enjoyed our stay and will be back again Thank u Leanne x

Fantastic

Brilliant campsite, great facilities. The kids loved the animals, the park, and the field for games and football. Great shower and toilet block, and use of a few appliances too. The family that run this place are exceptional people, so helpful to us on our first day when we were having some problems with our journey down. Absolute lifesavers! Thank you!

Family friendly

We had a really warm welcome from Leanne on arrival who explained the facilities to us and showed us to our pitch. We chose to be in the football field but there were quieter areas around the sides. Quiet after 10 was observed by most campers. The animals were amazing especially the llamas - a big hit with out 5 year old. Playground and room to roam for the children and the toilets snd shiwers were spotless. A barn with plugs and access to fridge and freezer. A really great find for us. 10 minute drive down to Llangrannog and about 10-15 mins to Tresaith. We had a fantastic trip and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a warm family run campsite.

Fantastic site

Fantastic campsite and Leanne is amazing! Our second trip there, my only issue which was shared by others was the lack of toilets. The site was packed this weekend and with only two male toilets and three female, there was simply not enough. Other than that, it was spot on!

Review

Expensive camping site for the facilities provided. While it was not the fault of the campsite, we were without water for the toilets and showers for hours. Few hours later, there was no electricity on the campsite. Showering is operating via a coin system which for the price, should be included within the cost of the pitch. Quiet timing was not policed, with children still shouting and playing in the park close to 11pm

Hi Ben, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Sorry to hear you were not happy with the facilities provided on site, our listing shows what we offer as a small family run campsite. We are sorry that your stay was affected by the unexpected loss of water during the day on the Saturday and the electric going off around 10pm at night. As you mentioned, these issues were not caused by us and were unfortunately completely out of our control. We were reliant on Welsh Water to fix the burst water main pipe that affected the entire area, which they did as fast as they could. As soon as we were aware of the loss of water around 7:30am, I stood at the facilities and explained the situation to every guest, Nathan went to the local shops and bought bottled water & we provided water for all of our guests on site. We also had bottled water in the toilets for hand washing, brushing teeth & washing etc. The toilets were fully operational all day as we had filled a water tank with water from a neighbouring farmers river, and we manually filled cisterns so they were able to flush until the mains water was back on. The water was back on by 6pm and then our showers were back fully operational as well. We worked hard all day to try and make our guests as comfortable as possible in the unfortunate circumstances. The electric went off around 10pm, I called The National Grid as soon as I realised there was an issue we could not resolve ourselves, they arrived on site for an emergency call out around 11:30pm and fixed the issue as fast as they could at the Pylon, all power was then restored. I have never experienced such major issues to happen on the same day, it was upsetting for us as owners wanting the best stay for our guests but we acted fast and did all we could at the time. I check all guests in and chat with them, we also have clear signs about quieter times on site. The weather was beautiful for the bank holiday and the site was full, I was not made aware by anyone there were issues with noise late at night. Had you contacted me at the time or mentioned it when I saw you out and about during the daytime I would have gladly come and spoken with families and asked for children to return to their tents. It is clearly stated in our listing we have coin operated showers - £1 for 5 minutes, this is common practice on campsites as we have water and electricity meters. Excellent location for beaches and other tourist attractions. The campsite is flat and small enough to not be too busy. Very clean. Good facilities including free to use fridges, microwave and kettle. Although £1 for 5 minute use of a shower…hmmm Great for kids with a barn, small playground and petting animals. The owners are great and helpful

The weather was stunning over the bank holiday also so you were blessed with some glorious weather to enjoy the local beaches. It is clearly stated in our listing we have coin operated showers - £1 for 5 minutes, this is common practice on campsites as we have water meters and electricity meters. The only site I like to go back to

Amazing place and we will continue to go every year, hard to find a flaw with the place or the location, staff are amazing, having the animals in the fields are amazing, even when it’s been busier than this weekend, it’s still easy to not be disturbed, we will definitely be booking again for next year

A great stay!

There was a friendly, warm welcome from Leanne who explained how everything worked, the campsite rules and how to contact her for additional information such as places to visit etc. Lovely facilities, excellent recycling set up and a good mix of pitch types, suitable for families or couples. This was a great place for us to try out our new van, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Perfect stay

Can’t fault the stay. It was perfect and very comfortable. Having such a large area was brilliant too. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller with her dog and would recommend this to anyone.

Peace and quiet

Absolutely lovely site, very peaceful, which is just what we wanted. Nice owners. We only ended up staying for one night as our heater in the van and we weren't prepared for potential impact of Storm Dave. Which was a great shame as we could have easily seen ourselves there for the full 5 nights we had booked.

Lovely stay

We have a Ford campervan with a drive-away awning, 3 young kids and stayed on a powered spot. Location is excellent for exploring local beaches, the facilities were spotless on site (remember to bring pound coins to operate the showers), and the kids' playground was a hit. They also loved all the animals around, too. Would recommend, and stay here again.

Looking forward to returning!

Lovely hosts who were welcoming and helpful with a timely response to any queries. Scenic campsite and the kids had a great time seeing all the animals. Top tip for the showers is to bring sandals which you can wear as the floor is cold (to be expected in February!). Only a few minutes drive down the road from the stunning Llangrannog beach which has a lovely, dog friendly, pizza place. Even in the depths of this ever-lasting winter we had such a lovely time, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Beautiful

Lovely little site in the middle of some beautiful coastal coves. The farm is lovely, the owners are friendly, unfortunately can't do anything about our weather lol. Will def come again ( was quite relaxing in the rain 😜).

Peaceful setting

This is a lovely spot for camping with excellent facilities and cute farm animals. It's very quiet at night and easy to find.

Absolutely fantastic site

Our first visit and it will definitely not be the last. This site is perfect for dark skies enthusiasts with very little light to interfere, so the Milky Way was on display and directly above us. The toilets and showers were spotless all throughout the day, even though the site became much busier towards the weekend. It was very peaceful, but with plenty for kids to do and with stunning beaches close by. Leanne was very accommodating and super helpful so we wouldn't hesitate in highly recommending a stay.

Absolutely fantastic!

I cannot recommend this site more. The facilities were immaculately clean with staff going in several times a day to ensure so. The site itself was well kept with lots of space between pitches for children play. It was very quiet with everyone quietening down by 9pm. The Bell Tents are in their own field with plenty of space to themselves. The location is great with many beautiful coves and places to visit within 30 mins drive. I would strongly recommend this site to anyone.

Beautiful campsite

This campsite has to be one of the loveliest we've ever stayed on. The amenities were great, showers and toilets were spotless. Leanne the site owner was more than helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The kids had plenty of areas to explore and play as well as animals to see. We will be coming back again next year 🙂

Fabulous site near New Quay on Cardigan Bay

Fabulous site with many options. There were 12 of us, some camping, some electric hook up, gypsy caravan, shepherds hut and yurt. Leanne was very helpful. There are fridges, microwave and toaster and plenty of undercover areas to relax. We caught the T5 bus to New Quay, also enjoyed Langrannog beach. Thank you.

first family camping trip

We took our 2 and 6 yesterday old camping for the first time. Leanne was very friendly and flexible on our arrival time and welcome. The toilet and shower facilities were very clean and well maintained. Having a toaster accessible was a godsend for breakfast! The central part of the campsite being almost reserved for the kids to have a kick around and play games was amazing. All the animals around the farm were a fun addition for the kids. Aswell as that it was only a few minutes drive to the beach or 20 minutes from New Quay for something to with the family.

We had a brilliant time here, the campsite is fantastic, a real gem. The bell tents were great, plenty of space and everything you need tor cooking. The campsite itself is lovely, a unique offering with all the animals on site. Showers, toilets etc all clean and modern. Leanne and family lovely, really welcoming and attentive, Would very much recommend a stay here, we will be back.
