Parc Pen Y Bryn is a quiet site just across the road from Clocaenog Forest - making it perfect for long walks and bike rides. Modern and well maintained, it's within an easy drive of Llyn Brenig and its sailing, or less than a half hour from Betws-y-Coed with its outdoorsy options. Around 15 mins away is the border of the Snowdonia National Park.

Why you'll love it at Parc Pen Y Bryn

"Lovely campsite in a superb location" great for exploring North Wales

Within an hour of Snowdonia National Park and the North Wales coast

Open year round with plenty of space to enjoy the stunning views

About the site

This peaceful and rural small site in North Wales offers easy access for large vehicles and is a handy distance from the A5. It is also a great base for exploring the Snowdonia National Park, which is just 20 minutes from the site. Pitches are all on hardstanding and suit caravans and campervans, motorhomes or even RVs with the choice of staying with or without electric. From the site, you can enjoy stunning valley views and take in the scenery. Views from site are over grassed fields, with wind turbines to be seen along the horizon. If you'd like to stop and take it all in, you'll find some handy outdoor seating and tables on site. With just a limited number of pitches and lots of space, there's always room to spread out, too. There are also three cabins which sleep two adults and two children. Dogs are welcome onsite, so don't forget to pack the dog treats.

A note from the site themselves...

Our name is actually Welsh for 'top of the hill'. We very much view our site as a pure Welsh Narnia, with towering trees, charming trails, tucked-away forest paths and picturesque waterfalls.

We are also blessed to be home to one of the last remaining populations of red squirrels in Wales. We are a great spot for wildlife in general, so be sure to keep an eye out for otters, green finches and woodpeckers. We hope to welcome you soon, Robert

Nice peaceful location as long as you’re aware that you need to drive to get things then it’s fine. Pitches well maintained and good size . Facilities ok toilets sometimes struggled to flush had to wait for water flow , showered small but manageable although lovely and warm in the morning cold by mid afternoon. Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesMar 2025

Parc Pen Y Bryn is a lovely, clean, well laid out site. A small site in a remote setting with superb views. Good communication from the site owners, with a text day before and a friendly welcome on arrival, nothing was too much trouble. It all made for a wonderful relaxing break. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Parc Pen Y Bryn.

Motorhome - Medium Electric Hardstanding Motorhome PitchFeb 2025

Good place to stop over, very quiet and not really able to walk anywhere. But good facilities, excellent that there was a kettle to use so didn’t need to hook up the gas.

Site's response

Hi, thank you for your review. It's disappointing to hear that you didn't find anywhere to walk. We have on site a 6 acre field for everyone to use and also the 50,000 hectare Clocaenog Forest on our doorstep that offers miles upon miles of beautiful walks. Kind regards, Rob & Ffion - Parc Pen y Bryn.
