Had the most amazing time at Howgills Hideaway! Highly recommended and we have recommended to friends and family! Lovely and clean and the pods are very cosy and very warm! Perfect little stay away from the hustle and bustle. The pods were very well equipped and there was nothing that we needed as it was all there. The honesty shop was perfect, with the use of games and DVDS along with books that you could borrow! There was nothing that the owners hadn't thought of that you might need on a little weekend away glamping. The outdoor toilets and showers were clean and smelt really fresh! Just an overall lovely stay with the most beautiful views! Already booked to come in back in July!

Siobhan and David were brilliant hosts. On arrival, it was heavy rain but they still made the effort to come and say hello to us! The pods were very clean and with a very comfy bed! Would definitely recommend to anyone and very very good value for money! Thank you again. We will be back soon :)

This was a nice relaxing night away. Clean pod in lovely surroundings. The farmer and his wife were lovely also. Great value and the little shop on site is very useful. Remember you only have cooker rings and a microwave when you pack food. If you forget, there are shops a short distance away.

The pod was brilliant, great amenities, comfy bed, the shower and toilets were clean and close by. Has everything you would need for a great time away. Some really great walks nearby that I did and the dog loved it too 😊 Will definitely come back and recommend to anybody.

We stayed for one night, the park was perfect. The little honesty shop was the cutest, even though we didn't buy anything it had everything, worth knowing for next time. The breakfast basket was so fresh and tasty! Pod was clean and welcoming with cookies, tea/coffee and milk with a welcome card! Toilets are in a great area and so clean. Amazing stay!

Really pleasant stay at this site. Feels remote, peaceful and quiet but is only 20 mins from Sedbergh and 40 mins from South Lakes. Lovely camping pods, would definitely recommend!

Just come back from a wonderful stay at Howgills Hideaway. The facilities are the best I've ever known at a site like this- the cleanest shower/toilet block ever! The honesty shop has everything you need. It's a beautiful location and the host, Siobhan was welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for a perfect stay. We look forward to visiting again.

We stayed at Howgills for 2 nights in the standard pod. We were met by the owner when we arrived who was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The site is dog friendly and there was a dog bowl and dog screw left outside our pod should we have needed it. We were directed to our pod, which had beautiful fairy lights on. The heating was on (great given that it was cold, wet and windy!) and it was so clean and had everything we needed. The 'shoilet' block was clean and new and had plenty of hot water. With the honesty shop and dog wash area, this is certainly a place we will visit again as a base for both the lakes and Yorkshire! Thanks so much again.

Spent a couple of nights here in the Brown Moor pod. It was nice and clean with a comfortable bed, kitchenette, TV etc. Everything you would want in a pod. On arrival we were greeted by Siobhan, who made us feel very welcome. The free cookies were a nice gesture and very tasty. The honesty shop is a great idea and was well stocked with essentials you may have forgotten to bring, including items needed to light your firepit/BBQ. I would gladly recommend and visit again. Met some nice people and doggies too.

We have just returned from the most incredible stay at Howgills Hideaway. Siobhan and family are the most gracious hosts, the site is stunning, and you have absolutely everything you could need and more. The pods are beautiful, welcoming, and have lots of little homely touches! We felt right at home and loved sitting on the decking by the fire watching the sunset. We already cannot wait to book to visit again soon! Thank you so much for the best mini break ever.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely woman, who was very helpful and welcoming. We stayed in the unfurnished bell tent, beautifully lit, and very spacious for a family of 5 (probably) even more. Bench outside, bbq and fire pit is a lovely touch. The honesty shop is absolutely brilliant, prices more than reasonable, plenty of range and essentials. The marshmallows and skewers were an amazing extra, along with the popcorn maker. Very family-oriented with a brilliant trampoline and a box full of toys and games all for free use. Shower block/toilets nicely finished I would definitely recommend a stay here, the views speak for themselves and the campsite has more than enough to offer to anyone.

Beautiful place, stunning scenery, great location. Toilets and showers were very clean and warm. Pod was very cosy and warm with gorgeous views and fire pit outside. Very friendly owners, dog friendly (our was running free), and great honesty shop ❤ There was a huge trampoline in the middle of the field and game box so plenty stuff to do for kids - all kids were playing together. We've chosen glamping pod because of our 8months old baby and it was best decision ever! Two double beds, radiator, two hobs and fridge... We'll definitely come back there!

We stayed for 3 nights in the Brown Moor pod. The surroundings and location were beautiful. Really peaceful. The pod itself was lovely. Little LED lights at the back over the bed really set the cosy mood. It had a kitchenette and a bbq out front and a toilet and shower block a minutes walk so you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is also a fold out sofa bed so could sleep 4. There is also a shop on site which is handy, and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Kendal was a half hour drive away and plenty of local walks to do. Overall we have had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Howgills Hideaway to anyone. We would definitely come back again. Thank you.

Excellent stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the bell tent was clean and to a high standard, but very cold! A very child friendly site.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. For future guests I just wanted to point out that this was our unfurnished bell tent which does not include any heating, but does have an electric supply if you wish to bring your own heater. Our furnished bell tent comes complete with an electric wood effect stove.

Me and My girlfriend visit Howgills in July for a quick getaway and I must say the stay was nice and the environment which is farm and hills was very nice, hearing the cows and sheep in morning and then the crickets at night. I would recommend!
