Beautiful place

Our stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Dec 2025 A well laid out site, decent sized pitches and a friendly welcome. Great standard of facilities, clean and warm.
Lovely walks straight from the site, including the beach. The village with facilities was within a short walking distance, although the pubs/chippy only accepted cash. Nearby bar looked good but we didn't go in.
Great value for money and very quiet, despite being fully booked. Will definitely return.
Perfect coastal location
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Dec 2025 Stopped here for one night during a small tour of Cumbria and the Lake District.
The campsite is clean and tidy, but the best thing for us with small children was the showers. They're in their own large room with toilet and hand basin so you can easily shower the little ones in comfort with plenty of space. Direct access to the beach and coastal path. The on-site ice cream parlour is brilliant. We will return. Thank you.

Relaxing and quiet
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Dec 2025 First time I've stayed here and I really enjoyed it.
Lots of lovely long flat walks along England's Coastal Path. Ice cream shop on site. Ski Bar within a very short walk. Facilities were clean, liked the idea of combined heated shower, toilet & sink.
Beach was clean however lots of rocks/ stones to get through first then miles & miles of walking on the beach when the tides out. If you just want a very relaxed walking holiday with your doglets this is the place.

Glamping Pod - Mega Ensuite Glamping Pods (Dog Friendly) Oct 2025 Had a great stay in the mega pod, was great having the toilet and shower in the pod, an added bonus was the dishwasher along with all the usual kitchen facilities.
The extras like hand soap, washing up liquid, even the dishwasher tablets was an added bonus.
Great peaceful escape
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Gravel Pitches Sep 2025 Just had 2 nights here and all I can say is if you have never been - GO.
Very pleasant staff, the site is really clean as is showers/toilets.
Loads of places to walk your dog, even the dog friendly beach is literally 3 minutes walk from your pitch. Talking of pitches, they are large clean and with ehu.
We will definitely be returning.

Great Lake with water sports and a bar, would stay again.

Break in the lakes
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Gravel Pitches Aug 2025 Friendly welcome upon arrival, everything was explained to us really well we were told about the Ski bar, so we called there for food & drink which was very nice and good value.
All in all it was a good trip to the lakes.
Good site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Gravel Pitches Aug 2025 Welcoming site in a great location a few minutes walk from the beach and lagoon.
Hot showers and plenty of toilet facilities.
The coastal walk north to Silecroft and its excellent beach cafe and the walk arounf Hodgebarrow nature reserve are both superb.
Would stay again.
Mega pod 2
Glamping Pod - Mega Ensuite Glamping Pods (Dog Friendly) Aug 2025 Perfect campsite well maintained excellent ice cream shack on site.
Only down fall is the mattress in mega pod 2 was rubbish and we had to sloop on the sofa.
Other than that it's was perfect.
Relaxing

Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Amazing time with group of friend the whole time from day one until we left.
Aside from there is a storm on the second day of our stay the staff on that time is very helpful to give us accommodation and keeping our children and family safe that highly appreciated. Facilities are clean and peaceful and quiet.
Highly recommend.

Perfect stay Camping Pod - Camping Pods (4 person, Dog Friendly) Jul 2025 This site is spot on, perfect little place with all the facilities you need and all very clean. bar in walking distance and the best ice cream.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 We spent five days at this campsite and overall had a lovely experience. The bathrooms were very clean, there was plenty of space, and trash bins were conveniently located throughout the site. The organization of the area was impressive, and we especially enjoyed the delicious homemade ice cream – though we unfortunately missed out on the dog-friendly ice cream as it was out of stock.
In the evenings, the campsite came alive with colorful lights that twinkled in every shade of the rainbow, creating a fun and almost Las Vegas-like atmosphere. While this made for a lively environment, it’s worth noting that the site is not a dark-sky location and can be quite bright and noisy at night, with happy children exploring and plenty of dogs adding to the soundtrack of the campsite.
It’s a friendly and well-maintained spot, especially for families and dog owners, but those seeking a quiet, stargazing getaway may want to keep this in mind.

Lots of showers which were spotless, as cleaned twice a day. Washing up areas, fresh water and launderette. Lovely area and staff helpful and friendly. Local friendly pub and Londis shop.
Close to the Lakes and family attractions. Would definitely recommend.

Large Tent - Electric Gravel Pitches Jul 2025 We received a friendly welcome and some info about the area on our arrival, which set us up well.
Good size pitches, lovely views, just a stroll to the beaches, very quiet and peaceful. The facilities were cleaned twice daily and you could tell!
All in all a great spot, have recommended to family and friends.

Very good facilities and staff very friendly and helpful. Food served at the Ski Bar every night in the week and more at weekends. Walks from the campsite into Haverigg or along the beach as far as you want to go (England Coastal Path).
Kirksanton 2 miles away has a lovely pub serving food.

The location was beautiful, great value for money and one of the best shower blocks we have come across.
Great experience from start to finished. Wish we had booked a longer stay.
