Lovely, quiet campsite about a 15 minute drive outside of Buttermere. We were met by a friendly staff member who left us to it.

Beautiful location, very peaceful. We stayed in spring, so it wasn't over busy. Facilities are basic, we didn't use the showers as it had been a really cold night and they are in an unheated large shed along with the toilets. It's a great spot to explore the lakes. Priced fairly according to facilities offered. We had a dog and there were no direct walks nearby, but situated on a nice quiet lane to have a stroll on.

Perfect place to stay for us in our camper. £18 for a electric pitch is very good value for the Lake District. Toilets and Showers were clean and tidy. Plenty of hot water. Walking distance to the pub.

Lovely park, perfect for walking! Toilets could have been cleaner, never any toilet roll.

Very basic. However, it was reasonably priced. Could do with investment in toilet facilities, they were located in an old barn and were old and not the cleanest, particularly the showers. Toilet roll ran out and no facilities to dry your hands (no hand dryer or paper towels). Sink to wash dishes were in another barn and just didn't feel like a campsite more like we were pitching in a farm and "borrowing facilities"

For £48 for three nights in the Summer holidays, this really is a gem. Very basic facilities but that doesn't bother me, as that's what camping is all about! Location was so peaceful, we were right at the end near a trickling brook. Short drive to Cockermouth with supermarkets and great chippy. 20 minute drive to Keswick. Would stay again!

I'm not usually one to complain or leave negative reviews, but I was unimpressed with this campsite. Maybe it's because we stayed in August during a heatwave, but site was very crammed with people on top of each other - not what I'm used to from other campsites. We had requested 3 pitches next to each other via email in advance + told this wasn't a problem. On arrival, the site owner said this wasn't possible + we had to squash two tents in together + one in an adjacent field. The location is great near Buttermere, Crummock + Loweswater with a decent pub with good food a walkable distance away. Facilities are not good at all - 2 toilets for each gender + 2 showers in basically a converted barn that I think needs a facelift. Toilets also ran out of toilet paper. The washing up area is in another cobwebbed basic barn. The 2 nights we stayed were noisy with a group of lads making a racket until 2am. I spoke to the site owner after the first night who said he'd deal with it + clearly he didn't as the noise was the same on our second night. I wouldn't recommend or return to this site.

Good location for the C2C cycling route - it is on the route! Generous pitches and the site is not too crowded. The facilities are a converted barn - and doesn't look like much was spent on the conversion which was not recent. The showers were warm though.

Nice and small campsite in the northern lakes, with clean but sober facilities.

Very nice place, quiet and safe. Toilets are not big enough for so many people and would be nice to renovate them a bit. Lovely campsite for a family holiday!
