About the site
The campsite is located within a 1.5 acre field, which runs along the River Taw and there are lovely river views from your tent. Tents are pitched up in a lovely field sheltered by trees and surrounded by wildlife. Go back to basics in a field that allows plenty of space to play and explore, relax and do things you enjoy. BBQs and campfires are also welcome with a communal fire pit, BBQ and undercover table and benches for guests to enjoy. No cars are permitted in the camping field, so you will not be disturbed by fellow campers driving in late or going out early. Caravanning is in the top field, overlooking the small holding, so you can sit and watch the pigs, chickens, goats and ducks. Stay on comfy grass and gravel hard standings, four of which offer optional electric, and one without. A short walk takes you to eco friendly facilities for campers and tourers. For a spot of extra luxury, stay in The Ark, a unique glamping unit with a double bed, cosy interior and an outside private decking area next to the lake. For even quirkier glamping you can stay in the Egyptian inspired Pyrapod with its unique geometric shape, tucked away next to the lake- and there's a cosy lakeside cabin too. Both offer a toasty log burner, comfy double bed and furnishings. A spacious bell tent - The Lotus is the perfect home away from home with a chic interior, plus an excellent double bed and single futon. There is also catch and release course carp fishing available if you are staying at The Ark, The Cabin or The Pyrapod, all of which are situated around the lake. This is an extra charge per day. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome, with two allowed per pitch and one in the cabin. Please note, the glamping units are pet free.
Open from 28 March to 1 September.
