Sugar Park is a small and family-run back-to-basics campsite on the coast at Beesands in the beautiful South Hams region of Devon. A pet friendly site, it accepts tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. Surrounded by working farmland, you'll find unparalleled views out to sea from almost all locations on the site. And a five minute walk takes you to Beesands beach!

Stayed for one night. Campsite was basic with just a toilet block, but that's all we needed. The site location was perfect. We had a little pup with us so the walk down to the local pub/beach was perfect. Views were lovely and the fellow campers were all friendly. Fab recycling point and clean toilets. For the price, it was what we expected, check in yourself and be left alone which is exactly what we were hoping for!

It is a campsite with honesty box, not many facilities really, just a toilet. The location is fantastic though, you can listen to the waves and the village is a 7 minute walk only.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sugar Park. It's a small, low-key campsite that is a great base form some stunning local beaches. The toilets are cleaned daily and we did not miss having a shower (in fact, it was a good experience for our city kids!). Top tip: do try out the self-serve milkshakes at Coleridge Dairy (follow the signs). We loved that we were able to barbecue on-site as this is not always possible! All our children (aged 5,7,9,11, 13) are keen to come back! Also, great value for money!

A diversion was in place, which made the approach more of a challenge due to traffic. The cold drinking water tap was in a good position. Toilets were clean, as was wash up area. Suitable for adults who want to chill and read. Approach to site didn't encourage day trips out, hence our early departure.

Totally overwhelming view from the campsite. It is small and very quiet place. It's clean and drinking water is accessible in a few spots. Approx 10 mins to the beach. Nice good in nearby restaurant. Definitely for relaxing stay without noisy, running around children. We'll come back for sure!

Very basic site with 2 clean toilets and wash hand basins with cold water but nothing else. The site is on a slope so need to use wedges. The view of the beach is amazing. Just a short 10 minute walk to the beach with a very steep climb back.

Could not have wished for a better campsite for our first time camping as a family. Everything we were looking for - quiet, stunning views day and night (star gazing is brilliant), and tidy and clean facilities. Would have been great if they could squeeze in possibly 2 shower cubicles on site. We didn't want to leave as we enjoyed everything about it and are looking to book again next year.

Lovely little site just the way I like it, simple but with everything you want. Clean, quiet and peaceful. Only took 3/4 hour as pretty local to me, but why go further when you have everything you need here.

Lovely little campsite, limited facilities but what is there is well kept and clean. Lovely views and 10 mins to beautiful clear sea. Hill walk to beach. Narrow lanes on approach to campsite for around 8 miles. Will come back!

Beautiful view of the lake and sea/coast, fresh air and a breeze - what else is needed. Bird watching, boats, yachts, ferries, container vessels, all via a good pair of binoculars. We never used our vehicle for the 5 days, reasonable walks in every direction, something different every day, short walk to Beesands for refreshments. Bliss! We also found the 'hide' for the lake and used that facilty also to watch the birds.Windy when arrived, so tucked our selves agains the hedge or we would have lost the tent! There was no problem with that for the owner.

We had a brilliant stay at Sugar Park! The site was just what we were after. The only thing that spoilt our trip was a large group of young lads. I don't mind some noise and chatting but they were shouting all night and morning when they were 3ft apart from each other. No respect for anyone else staying. I know this is not the site's fault, but I just wanted to mention it. We will be back.

Gorgeous views, although very tiny lanes to get there which is pretty daunting, the side of car was brushing the hedges and it went on for several miles with very few bypasses. The site is back to basics but toilets are clean and so is the site - and like I said, views are amazing. The Cricketer is lovely, friendly staff, as is Britannia on the beach. No shops so need to be organised with food.

We loved this site! A really chilled couple of days in a fabulous location. Clean loos and a friendly reception. Local pubs to walk to and great fish from Britannia on the beach. Just beautiful!

Tremendous! What a find. Although the noisy crows in late evening and early morning could maybe be scared away, but earplugs did the trick to help sleep.

Lovely site with stunning views. Ground has slight slope. My only problem was that the advert said 5 minutes walk to the beach. But failed to mention that the walk to beach was down hill at an approximate steepness of 1/5. It was most certainly more than 5 minutes. Obviously walking back up was a struggle. It was my first attempt to camp on my own with my van and awning. I am disabled, and restricted by sudden lack of energy, so the beach walk was a great struggle for me. I was really looking forward to my stay. As a result I only managed to stay for one night out of the three I had booked. I did mention this to the owner and he stated that he would review the site advert to include steep hill to the beach.

Fabulous location with soaring views across to Start Bay and Beesands beach. You can even hear the crashing waves! Very clean toilets and bin storage area, great site positioning for exploring this part of Devon, as well as close proximity to Beesands with pub and snack bar, will definitely come to site again in spring summer, hosts also very helpful and flexible with our stay schedule, totally recommend

Amazing location overlooking start bay. Clean toilet blocks and fresh water points provided, no showers but we knew so no problem. Short walk down to the beach and local pubs. Would definitely return!

Beautiful place to camp with stunning views and that was even in spite of the rain!
