Great little find!
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Aug 2026 Great little campsite in the countryside. Easy access we were in a campervan with a motorbike on a trailer. Site owner greeted us on arrival we were allowed to park up where we wanted to. Toilet showers and wash up area and water taps at various places around the site.
Great location only 15 minutes drive to Lulworth Cove and Durdle door
No fuss site would recommend.

Amazing place
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2026 We arrived on Saturday around 5 and it was fantastic a wonderful open space great for the kids so quite the toilets facilities were fantastic always clean the gentleman running the area Jim is fantastic so lovely and kind will definitely come here again we had an amazing time
A very chilled place to stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2026 Jim the host is very welcoming, friendly, chatty and checks in on you couple times a day. We both really enjoyed our time there, even with the challenges of getting our pegs in the ground (need good pegs, hammer and peg puller). There was a choice of two fields upper and lower and plenty of space for everyone, we had fun playing frisbee. Good power showers and always hot water.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends from Tarzan & Jayne (Hilux)

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Aug 2026 We had the best week staying here, it was exactly what we wanted lots of space, great showers and toilets, super clean, a short drive to everywhere, local shop and post office a 2 min drive away for bits. The owner Jim is an absolute gem and comes by every day to check on everyone. 100% will be back

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Jul 2026 Just a field in the heart of Hardy country, with the cleanest and nicest toilet facilities I've ever met on a campsite. Peaceful yet very handy either for Dorchester or the beautiful coast nearby.

Peaceful stay in our roof tent
Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Jul 2026 We stayed 2 nights in our roof tent during the week at chalk meadow campsite. We arrived late so not having a check in time was amazing. We met Jim, the owner, the next morning and he was very welcoming and friendly. The site was in a good location with enough space to spread out. We will definitely be back.

A very relaxed, quiet site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Jul 2026 Great site. Was only there for one night but it was very clean, tidy and quiet. Lovely location. All facilities were very clean, no issues there at all.
All in all, very pleasant and will definitely come back again if in the area.
And it only took less than 5 minutes to book up, which I thought was extremely impressive.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2026 The site is calm and quiet with good facilities (toilets, showers, washing up area and several drinking water taps) considering the cost and value for money. Jim was very friendly and came to check that everything was okay every day. It’s a short drive from Dorchester, Weymouth and several beaches and bays. We found a spot in the second field with shade in the morning.
Down to Earth farm camping
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2026 A very basic yet adequate campsite with all required facilities, set within farmland close to a village pub and shop, quiet and friendly.
No clubhouse, static caravans or loud music - instead, Hares scattering during early morning walks, with the occasional Deer.
I had an affordable, friendly and enjoyable stay.

A lovely outdoor escape
Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Jul 2026 A lovely campsite in a rural setting.
Not far from all the places we planned to visit. The toilets and showers are basic however, the water pressure is fantastic and the temperature was spot on.
The absolute highlight of this campsite would be Jim, the owner. He went out of his way to check we were happy, if we needed anything and was extremely relaxed about arrival and departure times.
If you are looking for a non crowded, non commercial site bringing value for money, then this is the place to come. We look forward to many more visits and to more chats about farming and Land Rovers.
Nice simple seasonal site, good basic facilites. Owner takes pride in his site.

A great campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2026 A great campsite with clean showers, toilets and washing up area.
This campsite which is owned by Jim, is opposite the historic D5 embarkation area used in D-Day and within close reach of Dorchester and Bovington Tank Museum is both spacious and very quiet.
Clean showers with disabled access, clean toilets and a separate area for washing up.
I took part in the Dawn to Dusk challenge on 20th June, riding from Lowestoft to Lands End. On the 21st. I was attending events at Broadmayne and also nearby Martinstown. Chalk Meadow campsite was the perfect location to stop over.
Contacted Jim several weeks before, saying that we would be arriving late and that we were attending a local event the next day and if that would be an issue. Of which Jim responded there was no issue.
Arriving at 22:40, we quickly set up camp and had a good nights sleep after travelling over 800 miles in 12 hours.
The following morning when we woke up we saw that their was a lot of other campers spread out between the two fields, with VW Transporters in the top enclosed field separated by a large hedgerow, Jim came over and welcomed us whilst we were packing up and we thanked him. Turns out that Jim is a fellow biker.
The campsite is part of a working small holding. Perfect for those on motorcycle tours, those who want to get away for a quiet weekend in their cars with a tent and also those with a campervan or a small caravan.
When I booked, I was given a special offer. Would I use this campsite again? Most definitely, yes!

Relaxing time friendly host
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2026 Great stay, easy for weymouth and dorset coast, grass is soft and pegs go in easily! Campsite has a relaxed vibe and welcoming, showers are nice and hot. Would come back!

Jim the owner is the real highlight, he is a complete gentleman and gave us recommendations for where best to camp in inclement weather as well as checking in with us each day. We will be back for sure!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches May 2026 Very easy to find, good location and a nice, simple campsite. Jim was lovely and came round to check everything was going well. Toilets are clean and well stocked and showers were clean and had great water pressure. Nice little hideaway. Would easily recommend.
