We were really happy with our stay here. Lovely informative staff, nice area and good price for staying in our campervan. The park was lovely for the kids, and the beach being a short walk away was perfect!! I'm quite funny about using public toilets etc but these were kept in a nice clean condition, and I had no issues there either. We will definitely be returning

I booked this spot because I love Horsey and the seals, so wanted to camp close by. Despite it being May half term, it was surprisingly peaceful and quiet on the site (I was travelling solo). The reception staff were very warm and helpful. I hadn't used my electric hook-up before, and they were lovely and helpful about it: reassured me that the on-site maintenance could show me how if I got stuck. Toilets and showers very clean and regularly maintained. Never ran out of loo roll! The pop up food and bar vans were a lovely perk too. Beautiful walks direct from the campsite onto the Norfolk coast path. 2 min walk to beach over dunes. Very family and dog friendly site. Even includes a doggy shower 'spa' area which is lovely! There is only one shower block, which was fine when I was there but for the size of the site, it could maybe do with another block especially in the busier Summer months. The showers don't open until 8am. I would have preferred earlier opening for the showers, but wonder if this might be set times for safety? That was my only slight niggle. This is a great site. For families, couples and solo travellers. I will definitely be returning in the future 😊
Great facilities, well maintained, but a bit packed in.

We visited on the final bank holiday weekend in May and it was our first large holiday park experience in our campervan. The park location was lovely behind the sand dunes and easy to find. Very smooth and easy check in as we driver in. The playground, mini golf and communal seating areas were a great addition and the quality of these spaces was brilliant - our 4 year old loved it, but was clearly enjoyed by older ones too. The large shower cubicles were great and clearly well thought about for families. They were very clean and well maintained. The only thing we would have liked is a few more of them ideally in another block the other end of the site, as at peak times they were often full and are quite a walk from the non EHU pitches, to find yourself then waiting. The toilet blocks again were clean & well maintained, we felt there were enough of these, but our only grumble was there was never any loo roll first thing in the morning which was a bit of a pain. The washing up sinks were very busy at peak times too, so queues often formed here, but again the quality of them was excellent. We really enjoyed our non electric pitch for the green space around and views of the sand dunes, however, the majority of EHU pitches looked really jammed in, down long rows of pitches and was not something we would have enjoyed. Whilst the park facilities are great to have, it’s clearly something you need to offset and balance with the busyness especially if you had one of the EHU pitches. For us we would only recommend non EHU pitches here. I’m sure some people love it, but it had packed out festival vibes and not something we would have enjoy whilst on a camping holiday. Our final feedback was with the rubbish disposal. Great to have large skips to cater for the mass of general waste, but recycling was not easily located nor at the refuse sites by the skips, so feel this could be improved upon as most people were throwing everything in the one place as the recycling wasn’t clearly marked or convenient to find. We probably would return, but would be quite specific on our pitch location!
Nice location but could be better

It's very close to the beach and there were seals, which was lovely. Unfortunately, there didn't appear to be any recycling (just a big skip for all the rubbish). The hot water in the bathrooms/washing up area was very hot and miss - showers were always warm though. There was also an issue with toilet paper - the toilets constantly ran out and were left without toilet roll for many hours.

Excellent location and fantastic services. Check in and staff were flawless and friendly. The only gripe would be they need a bit more toilet maintenance throughout the day as the facilities got 'untidy' quickly and the loo roll ran out! Other than that, the pitch was a good size and the location had a bit of everything and I would highly recommend it to families and tourers!

Great location, so close to a lovely sandy beach. Site shop sold most essentials and had good opening times. Toilets and showers were clean and were regularly serviced. Food trailers were available in the evenings, which we bought food and drinks from. Play areas for children were used by our grandchildren. We used the firepit that was lit in the evenings to cook marshmallows on. This was our first time camping with 4 adults and 2 children under 5 and had a great experience. We would come back again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waxham Sands. Clean showers and toilets, checked regularly. Kids enjoyed the mini golf. Great fire area for doing smores! Very dog friendly! Beautiful beach within a short walk over the dunes, I would say unsuitable for those with walking difficulties. We saw many seals.
Taken over by TikToking Teens!

Can't fault the location of this campsite, just a 5 minute walk from a gorgeous sandy beach with loads of cute seals popping their heads out of the water. The staff are very helpful (allowing us a very late arrival time) and the mini golf is fun. The on-site shop is extensive but had run out of bacon by Saturday afternoon, not to be restocked until Tuesday. Lacks good quality bread too. Another issue was the lack of toilet paper in the ladies' toilets closest to our pitch. It ran out before 7am every morning. So next time we'll bring our own loo paper, bread and TP! The main reason this is not a four star review is the pitch size. We were cheek by jowl by a family with football mad kids who repeatedly kicked their ball onto our pitch and were really noisy. There were also three teens who used the fence that marked the edge of our pitch as a phone stand so they could record TikTok dances. The same music playing over and over again, morning, noon and night, about 6 feet from where we were trying to relax. We were trying to 'live and let live' but have to admit that they were incredibly annoying. So a family friendly site, yes, but not somewhere to go if you like space and want a quiet, relaxing time.

Great site, very clean and staff all friendly. Short walk to sea over the dunes. Food and drink vans were a bonus, in addition to on site shop, that was well stocked. Pitches were paved just enough to feel not on top of each other. Lots of dogs.

Loved everything about it. The slight complaint in that we weren't too happy about the shop, as the store was shutting earlier than the 6 o'clock time as advertised.

The site was very clean and tidy, and facilities were very good. All staff we had contact with were outstanding. Love the shop but can we have some adult flip flops for next year please and would it be possible to stay open a little later in the year for touring campervans? Thank you. Lorna & Tony.

The beautiful Waxham Sands! What a lovely place to stay right next to the beach but sheltered from the wind from the high sand dunes. The beach was super quiet (see photo of beach) and pretty much a private access from the corner of the camping area. All areas were super clean, including the toilets and showers! The little shop at reception was perfect and had a bit of everything for if anything was forgotten. Very dog friendly, dogs allowed in the shop and there was also a doggy spa perfect for rinsing off after a swim in the sea. In an evening they had different food trucks at certain times if you didn't feel like cooking (even a dessert van!) Very close to some lovely walks. We went to the water mill just down the road which is also National Trust. Incredibly quiet, looked to be great play areas for the kids but did not go that close as we don't have any kids! Oh and the beach was perfect for seal spotting! Every time we went to the beach we saw 10+ seals bobbing by the shore.

Excellent site. Well kept and spotless. Nice and clean. Close to beach. Lovely shop on site which is very reasonably priced for a camp shop.

Hidden campsite a stroll away from a stunning beach over the dunes. Venders attend most evenings to serve food as the campsite is quite secluded, nearest shops is a 15 mins drive away. But perfect campsite to escape and have a relaxing weekend.

Really great overall. Only gripe was the pitches were a bit small and our neighbour had come over to our side with their toilet. No hot water in one of the washing up areas either but they are only minor gripes really. Be prepared for wind.

Lovely place. Shame they did not put my brother in-law who arrived 2 days later on pitch next to me, but pitches 2 over for no apparent reason, even though I asked. Apart from that, location and facilities excellent. My 3 kids had a blast.
