Great little site if you're looking for a night or two to stay to explore the local area. Fantastic views of the local countryside and mountains, and as you approach the site, there are great views of the River Forth, and even the Queensferry Bridge. We weren't expecting much from the facilities, however there is a lovely little shower shed, and plenty of toilets. There is even a full recycling station, and area to wash up. We had two dogs with us, who were able to enjoy the enclosed dog walking area on site. If you're looking for a quiet site to put your head down for the night, within a short distance of the city, I would definitely recommend!

Lovely, small, clean site for overnight stop. Facilities were super clean. You have everything you need here. Dog walking area was great, as well as other lovely walks in the area. The only downside was traffic noise, but that's because we aren't used to it. So probably wouldn't bother most campers.
Very friendly

The site was quite easy to find, I used to live round the area. Really pleased to have an enclosed dog walk area. Hot running water and warm toilets. It was really clean, the pitches were more than adequate and made better by the fact that there was raised grass areas between pitches. Which provided safety as well as privacy, will be definitely be going back.

The site was quiet & clean, with a gated area to let dogs off lead, which is lovely. We arrived at 6pm and it was very dark. Lighting on site is minimal, so take a torch. Anything more than lighting tripped the electric, which was a pain if you wanted to do something as simple as boil a kettle or prepare food. There seem to be lots of instructions about what you aren't allowed to do in both emails and signs across the site, and there seems to be an obsession with electricity consumption, which is great for the environment.
Site's response
It is good you felt the campsite was clean, with an enclosed dog run and that we are trying to be environmentally friendly. Yes it is best to take a torch, or most phones have lights on them, as the campsite is in the countryside surrounded by farmland and there will be dark areas. Although it has solar lights on it and electric lights round the facilities. You did not say you were having trouble with the electric. We could have maybe helped you, as you should have easily been able to easily boil kettle and have fridge and lights on at the same time. The hook ups are 16 amp, only 2 years old and regularly checked. I can only say that no one else on the campsite had an issue doing this on the night you stayed and the pitch you were on was booked immediately before and after your visit with no electrical issues. The sign at the pitch is a gentle, short, polite introduction to new campers of the long-established campsite etiquette and to campers that may not have read the website terms & conditions. The signs on the notice board are a requirement of the campsite licence. They do make a big difference as we have tried with no signs. We try to keep them as minimal as possible. Most large campsite with receptions have the same instructions on paper that they give to every guest arrival.

Small privately owned campsite. Lynn took time to come over and meet us, most friendly and helpful. Deliveries available from local takeaways. Great place to chill out away from the rat race, but does have free Wi-Fi. Will visit again if in the area.

A lovely little site, perfectly situated for visiting The Kelpies, and The Falkirk Wheel. Lots of walks from the site for the dog, a little paddock where they can be off lead and play ball. We have a border collie, so this was somewhat essential 😂

Wasn't sure about 10kw electricity allocation but we needn't have worried. It was explained clearly by the host and was more than enough for us. Great location, with great facilities and quiet. There were only 6 pitches and ample options for toilets, showers, waste. and a dog field too. Highly recommended.

A superb and well laid out campsite. Open aspect in the middle of the farming country with views of the hills and there were plenty of walks. The showers were spotless. The site is ideal for stopover or longer stays. Will definitely use again.

What a lovely discovery! Fantastic small site, well located for Culross and many other interesting places. The 6 pitches are very generous, with fresh water, power and grey water disposal on every one. There is a great motorhome grey water dump and a clean chemical dump point. There are spotless toilets and showers and plenty of recycling bins. The owners are really friendly and their love of the site is reflected in the quality of the pitches and facilities. The site is dog friendly and there is a nice track at the entrance for dog walks. We will put this on our list for stop-offs and short breaks.

The location in the middle of the field is just genius - nice views, clean air and lovely quiet countryside all around. In addition, the bathrooms were spatious and very clean and the site staff were very nice. If you are looking for a place to stay near Edinburgh/Stirling, look no further.

The site is quite remote and SatNav wouldn't find it, but managed with Waze. Excellently laid out and toilets and showers were very clean. Plenty of space and separation. Remote location meant no risk of being disturbed.

This was our first night away on our Scotland trip in a hired van. From start to finish was great - booking, arrival instructions, hook up and facilities. Liked that it was small and quiet. Great stop off from Kelpies on our way North.

Lovely little campsite off the beaten track but with 5 star services. Next to a Right of Way allowing some beautiful country walks. Lynn, the owner, very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. Just loved the tranquillity and the peace and quiet.

It was rather miserable to have to put our table & chairs on the gravel because the nice grass was kept for the end of the season. The power was cut off on our second day - we were only charging a fridge & devices. Additional power was available for purchase. There are a lot of signs but we didn't like the gravel. Lovely lady & cat.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, we try to minimise the use of signs but were forced to put some up due some guests not reading the terms & conditions or emails sent, you did say to me you didn't read emails. Our campsite is in central Scotland, 1 mile from the main trunk routes north & south, and near some world famous tourist sites such as the Falkirk Wheel & Kelpies which is 15 minutes away, so not sure why you describe it as isolated. Being from Australia you were maybe not familiar with the area? Our pitches are XL hardstanding & fully serviced, so loads of room on them, to be on the grass would infringe on the space of the next pitch down and reduce the space legally required for a fire break. There is a leisure area for guests with seats provided that is pure grass. The electric allocation should have been more than enough for what you have described so we are not too sure how you used so much?
