Set on the Llangollen canal, Ty Mawr is a certificated site spread across three acres of peaceful countryside known as the Shropshire Lake District. Bring your tents or tourers and enjoy this little hideaway on your chosen grass pitch.

About the site

This is a spacious site, consisting of a large meadow as well as a smaller and more remote field. As soon as you pull into the site, choose from a selection of grass pitches with optional electric for your tent, caravan or motorhome. You must be a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club, however those without membership can join when they arrive. Dogs are welcome too.

The site is in a great spot for soaking up some of the 'Shropshire Lake District' scenery. You're just a short walk away from Colemere where a circular walk around the glacial mere is ideal for keen wildlife spotters.

Those looking to fish won't have far to travel either. As long as you have a rod license, you can fish straight from the Llangollen Canal!

Hawkestone Park is just a 20 minute drive away and well worth a visit to see the stone table from 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. You'll also find a golf course here as well as stunning gardens to stroll through.
