Relaxing stay

We've just got back and highly rate this beautiful campsite. When we arrived we were greeted by Lynette one of the owners who gave us a lovely welcome and told us all we needed to know and also handed us a complimentary doggy poo bag holder with poo bags on a keyring which I thought was thoughtful, and no excuse not to pick up after your dog. We were backed onto the river which was in behind the bushes and beneath some steps which was a few feet away from us which made accessing a dog walk so much easier and quicker. The pitch was so flat that we didn't need our ramps. The facilities was faultless, lovely temperature in the showers and lovely and clean as was the toilets. I normally use our own facilities but as they were kept so clean I felt confident to use them. We loved it so much that we booked an extra night while we were there. Just an hour and 40 minute drive away that this could be our new local cheeky breakaway. We will definitely be back.

Excellent site and lovely owners

We had the best time staying at Waterrow. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever! The facilities were spotless. Loved that it was an adults only site and that the pitches were designed to provide privacy, so it truly felt like our home. The site itself has been carefully thought out, with a lovely walk down to the brook and picnic bench and fenced in dog area. Our dogs loved splashing around in the water while we enjoyed an afternoon beer sitting at the picnic bench! The owners and site manager were very friendly and we enjoyed out chats with them whenever they could spare a moment. We will be returning!

Beautiful site

A quiet site, fully serviced, so much more relaxing! A friendly welcome on our arrival, and really good support from a staff member when we had a little problem. Would happily stay here again.

Beautiful, very peaceful site, well laid out and very good facilities. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Happily go back.

Great site

It is just so well laid out, with mature hedges and dividers that separate most pitches sufficiently apart to be private, but also close enough to encourage interaction with other campers should you wish to-do so. The facilities are spotless and up to date with very pleasant staff more who are than willing to accommodate any issues, should they arise. It is well situated to be explore both North Devon and Somerset, as well as being close to a lovely friendly town with great local facilities for home grown supplies, as well as a Co-op for everyday items. Larger shopping facilities are also just half and hours drive away, should you need more specific items.

A beautifully laid out site close to a pub

The site is located on undulating ground but all the pitches are level and gave you a feeling of privacy. A number of circular walks start and end at the site. A five minute walk takes you to the Rock Inn which serves excellent food.

Loved our stay

This was our first time at this site, we were very impressed. The site & facilities were clean & well kept, with all the facilities, they had really taken into account all eventualities. Good sized pitches & spacing between each pitch, disabled facilities, dog & boot wash area, dog walk & exercise area, bins, they even provided bags & holder to dog owners, planned walks. The site owners, Jamie & Lynette, were very friendly & accommodating. Would definitely return & recommend to others.

Wonderful setting and the peace and quiet was all we hoped for

Fabulous quiet site in great location

Lovely peaceful site, even though it was fully booked. Good facilities in the barn. Love the hedges between pitches, giving more privacy. Wardens were lovely. Dog enjoyed paddling in the stream on site. Easy walk to the pub.

Week end getaway after a hectic week

Lovely peaceful site,very nicely kept and made to feel very welcome. Plenty of walks from site and the local pub very friendly,they made a big fuss of our German shepherd and the food was excellent.

Fabulous, quiet adult campsite

My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous, quiet 10 night stay at Waterrow Touring Park. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by a friendly, cheerful member of staff and shown to our level pitch. Throughout our stay, the site grounds and the facilities were kept very clean. The barn housed everything you needed from washing up facilities to a heated shower block and constant hot showers. There is a short woodland walk along the river, which our dog absolutely loved, and along the route there is a fenced off field where you can let your dog off the lead safely.. The site had a small shop that stocks the essentials from milk to toilet roll, but the piece de resistance was the lemon drizzle cake, which they but in from the local bakery... Go on you know you want too 😜 There is a 20 minute walk along the other side of the river to the local pub where they serve delicious food. I would totally recommend this site and will return when we are in the area of Taunton again. Thank you

Happy camping

Lovely quiet site great facilities showers are a slight pain with the push button system, but absolutely spotless as are the toilets. the position of the site in a vally makes for zero tv reception unless you have a long Ariel lead to plug into the sites own system so take one Would highly recommend

A lovely site

This site was just what we needed, quite and relaxing, and a lovely base for walks with the dogs. The owners were lovely and welcoming nothing was too much trouble.

Spring break in Somerset

Really lovely site which offers peace and quiet in well laid out individual pitches. Facilities are spotlessly clean, nice and warm too! Pretty dog walk along a stream on the site. Then plenty of longer walks close by.

Happy camping with Daisy our VW-campervan

Well maintained site with friendly owners and good size pitches. Food at the local pub Rock Inn was excellent, especially if you like spicy food.

Beautiful setting

We were welcomed on site and given lots of information on places to go and where to eat etc, even a little present for our dog. We were shown to a large fully serviced pitch which was very private (had hedges either side). Mainly hard standing but with some grass. The barn houses the showers and toilets, which were very clean and well maintained, with music playing. It also has a laundry and loads of information on places to visit and things to do. Each morning we had a lovely walk along the stream, which was lovely and quiet. Very pretty and relaxing before breakfast. The dog had a great time with all the new smells. The site is well maintained, lovely and quiet, the only sound at night were the owls, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return again.

Lovely stay at beautiful site

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely campsite. The site is spacious, and very well maintained. Everything was clean and tidy. Friendly, and helpful welcome, with a good welcome booklet. A good base for exploring the area. The surroundings were pretty and peaceful — perfect for a restful break. Definitely return.

A little gem

Had a lovely stay here, the place is 110% all round. Had a warm welcome from Jimmy who explained everything to us. The site is a credit to him, he keeps the place 👌 If we pass this way again we will certainly stay here. Many thanks.
