Trees from the Centenary Wood are flourishing at lovely Devizes Camping and Caravanning Club Site on the Kennet and Avon Canal, where the surrounding countryside includes some of the UK's most significant prehistoric sites.
The site is four miles from the pretty market town of Devizes, which you can get to by taking a bus from the stop near the site or walking along the refurbished canal towpath, passing the 29 locks in the Caen Hill flight on route. A number of attractions are nearby, including Bowood House and Gardens, which has an adventure play area and soft play palace for youngsters. Non-members welcome.
