Literally booked this 10 minutes before leaving to collect a tent we just purchased, arrived and tried the number but no reply, so started to pitch the tent the owners came over introduced herself and was every helpful with places to eat and buy supplies. The site is on top of the hill, we picked a slight dip in the field, which was perfect the views are immense. We picked the wettest and windiest days to stay, but the tent held up well, considering it was our first use of it. Vango Icarus in 28mph winds and heavy consistent rain for those who want to know. The only slightly down side was the wind turbine going all night whoosh whoosh whoosh, but you get used to it. Other than that lovely site, amenities were basic but clean and there were lovely views. Drive to the farm has some rough bits, but nothing the Volvo v50 couldn't handle. Lots of sheep and cows to see.
Welcoming and peaceful

We came to this campsite to try out our new tent box. It was perfect - basic but had all the essential amenities staff were very friendly and there for anything you need, we will definitely be back.

Couldn't fault the area or the land we stayed on. Staff were very polite and a good location, not too far from places to visit for food.
Brilliant campsite, incredible views and great atmosphere

Fantastic views from the camping field, you can see the hills for miles around. Great for back to basics style camping, whilst still having access to a couple of toilets, a shower and a washing up area.
Ideal campsite for a group get-together

We stayed here a as a group of 7 and a dog. The owners were friendly and responded quickly. The views were beautiful and the facilities were decent. It poured with rain and the wind howled but that just added to the British camping experience! Many thanks, I'd stay here again
Lovely campsite with great views!

Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful, only one shower and two toilets but both were fine - if you're just looking for a chilled site to pitch up in and relax, would absolutely recommend.

Great campsite! Would definitely stay again. I prefer the more remote style of camping and this campsite didn’t disappoint.
