VW-Type Campervan - Medium Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric)May 2026

Great stay at Budle Bay. It was our first time camping with our campervan. Great site with good facilities. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. A nice quiet chilled out site. Great stone fired pizza available to purchase too!

Good location, tired looking campsite

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Standard Plus Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric)May 2026

Great location next to Budle Bay, a short walk to Bamburgh and a longer walk to Seahouses. There is a bus stop just outside the campsite to both towns which is handy although the schedule is sparse. Campsite is a mix of seasonal and standard pitches. We were allocated pitch 56, furthest end of the campsite. +ve. 1) Near to the toilet/shower and washing block 2) large pitch. -ve. 1) Absolutely no grass just hardcore, may as well have been in a car park. 2) close and straight across from the shepherd huts which look tired. The facilities are very basic, there is nothing in the shower cubicle but a shower, no seat, no divider to stop clothes getting wet, no shelving and a push button shower. The water in both the shower and washing area is tepid at best. However, the facilities were clean. Campsite was busy but managed not to queue for either the toilet or shower (4 of each in this block). All in all a bit of a mixed bag.

Glamping Cabin - Aspen Ensuite Glamping Lodge (Dog Friendly)May 2026

We had an amazing time and will definitely be back. There was one thing I would like to recommend, the clamping cabin we stayed in I think a gate would be helpful especially if you have a dog like we did. We sat outside a lot but had to keep a hold of the dog leader if there was a gate then the dog could have walked about without getting out.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Campervan Hardstanding/Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)May 2026

This site is very accessible to all major site seeing attractions. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. The Budle Cafe, food was very good, and reasonably priced. The gentleman behind the counter was working his socks off and all with a smile and cheeky banter. ace! The site is growing, I hope it doesn't lose the rustic charm., I personally like rough edges. The only thing missing was a drying room, for soggy stuff. We will be back. Two happy campers!

Twin Axle Caravan - Medium Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric)May 2026

The serviced pitch we had was really well maintained with plenty of room. The facilities on the other hand were not the best. The toilets were a little grubby, along with the showers. There was a sign in the shower asking that the user clean the shower floor before leaving, but no mop or brush was provided. The site notes stated that it was a quiet site and that after 10:30pm everyone should be adhering to the quiet request, unfortunately, this did not happen. The van opposite was playing loud music and the girls screaming and shouting. A rather large family was put on our right and the children, all around 6 to 10 years, were running around and screaming at 10:30pm. I feel it would be better if the adults without children were housed a little further away from families.

Perfect bank holiday weekend

My first time staying at Budle Bay and I was so impressed. The campsite is spacious and peaceful. The facilities were very clean and receptionist warm and welcoming. I was travelling by myself and felt completely safe. Thank you for a great stay. I’ll be back.

VW-Type Campervan - Medium Riverside Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Apr 2026

Easy to find, nice welcome on arrival, good site information and map. Facilities were nice and clean, water heater for showers had broken but fixed immediately after Easter when people went back to work. There is a barrier for extra site security. Site was clean, well laid out and the food hut cooked nice take away style snack food well. There is also a small shop selling basics that we didn't use but probably as good as the rest of the site. Went with family and we were placed close together rather than scattered. Nice site and a good base for beaches and castles in the area. Weather was nice as well but site can't claim that but it added to a good Easter break.

Excellent location

VW-Type Campervan - Campervan Hardstanding/Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Apr 2026

Excellent location, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The only problem we had for our stay was there was no hot water, they did say they were waiting on a plumber.

Ok

VW-Type Campervan - Campervan Hardstanding/Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Apr 2026

Handy spot and staff are nice and hardworking, but facilities weren't that great and site felt crowded. Loved all the recycling and nearby pizza van. Shame about lack of hot water (something wrong at the time).

Medium Tent - XL Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Apr 2026

Campsite was very nic, everything available only a few minutes walk from a beach and minutes to Bamburgh. Plot for tent was not good. It was on a slope groundwater also very soft so ground pegs did not stay in place. Would use again but on a different plot.

Disappointed

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Medium Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric)Apr 2026

Disappointed ☹️ Felt very expensive for the services provided. Shower block old and out of date, showers were cold. Camping field a mud track through the middle, camper vans getting stuck. Over crowded. Save your money, I feel there's much nicer sites in the area for less money.

Quite relaxing campsite

Motorhome - Large Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric)Mar 2026

Lovely site just 2 miles from Bamburgh with clean shower and toilet block. There was 16 amp electric hook up, small shop for bits and bobs, hardstanding or grass pitches with some lovely glamping pods for hire. Dogs are welcome on a lead of course, but please bring a torch, as no lighting around pitches. On the plus side an excellent pizza hut next door, you must try their dessert pizzas such as Nutella or banoffee pizza.

Two night stop over

Motorhome - Standard Plus Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric)Dec 2025

We stayed for 1 night, first time out in our motorhome. Friendly staff. You will need a torch very dark, lol. Everything is signed posted, also get a little map of site. Toilet/shower blocks very clean. We didn't venture out anywhere as it was lashing down. Will be back in the summer to do some stargazing. I can imagine how amazing the stars will look. Thanks, Karen 😊

Great location but the site needs a lot of work

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Standard Plus Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric)Nov 2025

Great location but feel the site needs a lot of work to get it to an acceptable standard. This is a great location from which to explore the area. However, the site itself is very disappointing. The pictures look great, however the site is very run down and the facilities were dirty. There is a lot of repair work ongoing across the site which appears to have been ongoing in an ad-hoc fashion for some time, with piles of gravel timber, old derelict caravans etc across the site. It might be an ok site when they get the work finished and clean the facilities but in the meantime, I would advise keeping clear.

Nice site
