Camping with friends

This campsite was a lovely start to camping for the NC500. The views of the water was beautiful, we sat with our chairs for while by the water before bed to relax. The campsite was clean and tidy. When we arrived the reception as closed so I called the number and they were really friendly let us know where you we could put our tent and was ready to answer any other questions we may have had. Would thoroughly recommend!

Motorhome grass electric hook up

Lovely site, showers basic but clean hot and powerful. Bit or a random find your own plot but still fine. Definitely recommend for NC500

One night stay in May

The site is a little rundown, however it is a free for all that was the main issue. No set pitches, so campervans all over with long power leads running everywhere.

Great views, poor setup

Fantastic setting with views across the Beauly Firth. Sadly, there is little organisation on this site, which could be an accident waiting to happen. Vehicles & tent campers are told to pitch up wherever they like, so campers in tents are being overshadowed by motorhomes and as they all vie for the views, felt like tents plus their occupants are being placed in danger. Whilst the toilets & showers are clean, to a degree, they are outdated and in need of a deep clean & thorough upgrade. The Elsan area on the other hand is disgustingly filthy. The food van was great and it was a bonus to see the ice cream van. This campsite could be an absolute dream with a bit of organisation regarding pitching allocation and upgrading facilities.

Fantastic Site

Amazing views from a spacious and well organised site. The on-site food/coffee hut and reception shop provides excellent daily provisions. Toilets and showers were very good, clean and plenty hot water. Highly recommended.

Lovely Stay

Although I have scored 4 for cleanliness, it was the end of the day/evening so that was probably the reason. Burger/Bacon butty van on site was good run by a really nice friendly chap. Plus it was lovely to have someone else make breakfast ❤️

Great campsite. Showers were very basic but best hot shower I’ve had all week. Pipping hot and no buttons to press. Great little food cabin serving hot food at breakfast and dinner. Amazing views over the lake Great for dogs

Excellent campsite that was in a beautiful location and had everything we needed. Very clean and excellent facilities. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely quaint campsite

Lovely campsite. We were greeted at reception and shown to our pitch. The facilities had everything we needed (shop, toilets, showers, pot washing and water). The views are just stunning. We would stay again and recommend others to do so.

Very pleasant campsite for a long weekend

Great location - beautiful setting on the waterfront, only 5 miles to the centre of Inverness. Really good showers, nice and hot. Burger van there for a couple of hours each morning and each evening, which was a nice touch! Only issue with the site was the grass pitches weren't marked out at all, it was very hard to work out where we should set up - still not sure if we got it right, we just pitched up next to an electric port.

Lovely located site just a short bus ride from inverness, we had a 2 night stop before starting the NC500, little food wagon was very handy, toilet facility's could do with a bit of modernisation but clean.

Lovely campsite a stone's throw from Inverness

Lovely campsite on the edge of the Beauly Firth, a short drive from Inverness. Everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Only slight downside were the toilet facilities were looking a little bit tired and could do with an upgrade, otherwise fine.

Not very good

The site looks rundown and not very welcoming, the shower could do with refurbishing.

Yes, I agree entirely it was a cold wet day with a poor forecast and the park looks very uninviting with snow and sleet at any time. I always welcome customers despite the weather but cannot provide idyllic conditions. Nobody has ever given a 1 star view for the location in the last 20 years and all the facilities are cleaned to a very high standard every day, I do not therefore consider all of your 1 star ratings to be accurate. The showers have been renovated, new roof, gutters, insulation to roof and about £10k on tiles, partitions etc. the 'old fashioned' chain operated showers give you unlimited hot water and are are much admired by most.

Great place to start our NC500 trip, the only complaint I have is the ladies shower room door doesn't close, it was blowing a gale though it.

Cold March overnight

Warm welcome from the proprietor, excellent spot on the firth. Clean toilets and good easy to use facilities.

Great spot for a stay, some beautiful views and you get to choose your own pitch.

Fantastic location and stay

Very relaxing place to stay and with beautiful scenery. Stayed next to the loch and was an exceptional place. Friendly and helpful service. Will definitely stay there again.

Staff very friendly, the site was clean and well maintained

The site was clean and well maintained. The view was excellent. The toilets were clean, can't comment on the showers, as didn't use them.
