I would definitely recommend this site, it has well maintained campervan and caravan plots that are very big to allow for your vehicle and awnings etc. The shower and toilet blocks were clean and had good water pressure, great for a nice hot shower. We didn't get to try the Sunday lunch but if it's as good as the breakfast, I'm sure it will be amazing! We had a vegetarian and a traditional Cornish breakfast and they were great value for money and very tasty. The restaurant has real character having been built into the interesting landscape. The whole area has a lot of military history.
Great place with very friendly staff

Whitsand Bay Fort is a peaceful campsite located on the beautiful coast near Plymouth. It is perfect for families with dogs - all of the staff are very dog-friendly there. There is a pub right on the site, which serves a very good English breakfast with vegetarian and vegan options.
Outstanding view and very modern

Whitsand campsite was so beautiful that we stayed longer than planned. Everything is very modern. The restaurant is dog friendly and the food is very good.

There were some difficulties regarding the location of the site. These are both from the point of view of the roads leading to and from the site, as these are extremely narrow and challenging, as well as access to the beach and/or other facilities.
Fab site

Lovely site, with friendly staff. Shame there wasn't a little shop on site, but I'll remember that on my next visit.

My partner, myself and our spaniel recently stayed here for one night. The site has clearly had a lot of investment made, and is an absolutely charming place to stay. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the facilities were spotless. There were good quality showers and a decent pool. The underground bunkers and tunnels are a great feature for those interested in history. The bar/restaurant was very nice. Although we did not eat there we went for drinks. One disappointment was that hot drinks were not served in the bar, which is a little unusual. The location was perfect. Although be warned, the walk down to Whitsand Bay beach was very steep, and the climb back up is a challenge. Will definitely be back for another visit.

Thank you for your review Hazel, we all agree that the walk down (or rather up!) from the beach is a good workout, but well worth it. Thank you for your feedback re hot drinks, this is something we will take into consideration.
