Fantastic campsite

Loved this campsite- well located for the surrounding perbeck area. The site itself is a huge field, mostly flat and grassy. There is a forest along one edge. The facilities are good- portaloos, but they were always clean and suitable. The showers were amazing, good power and ALWAYS clean. They also have a baby change area in each shower cabin. The washing up facilities- mostly warm water not too hot but 5 sinks available. Loved the separate basin area for cleaning teeth and washing hands - 6 or 7 basins available. The owners were super friendly, always smiling!! We couldn’t have campfires due to the high fire risk this summer and we were provided with buckets for water by our tents just in case. Despite there being a lot of campers on the Sat night, no one was in top of each other due to size of the field. Love the opportunity to choose our own spaces and groups are welcomed. Will def stay again.

Lovely family friendly site

Perfect stop off at Primrose Fields. Clean and with good facilities. Quiet and well maintained in a great location.

Quiet, sunny spot

Our plot was quiet so were our neighbours and host. With no shade on our side, we abandoned holiday a day early. Loved having the fire pit for a night and understand restriction as heatwave intensified. Beautiful reclaimed clean washing sinks and roomy outdoor warm showers available.

Highly recommend

Myself and partner went here over the weekend and it was absolutely incredible. The service was 10/10, couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. Facilities were all clean and more than enough toilets for everyone. We have already spoken about returning before the end of summer.

Lovely couple of days, nice a quiet very clean will definitely be back, the perfect base for those roaming around, to relax in the evenings

Great site with great staff!

Great site, great staff. Lovely big area so plenty of room. All facilities lovely and clean. A few more showers would make this a perfect spot as three for the entire campsite means queues even when it’s not at capacity.

Lovely campsite

Thoroughly recommend this site. Very good price and central for a lot of attractions. Although a pop up site, the portaloos were always clean and the showers were fantastic. Note, there is no pizza van on a Friday night that is advertised, but we got a delivery from a local place. Staff were very friendly, will definitely be back.

A great little pop up site, ideal for events in South West Dorset or as a location for an outdoor break.

Good stay

Its a lovely location, very hot if you dont get a shady spot. Facilities are great, the showers are beautiful and the level of recycling is great to see. I didnt realise how busy the site gets with families and large groups which is not our thing although, music has to be off by 11pm. Other than that it was lovely. The hosts were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they were so friendly.

Thanks for this lovely review. Yes the bank holidays and Friday/Saturday nights on hot summer weekends do attract groups of friends and families. During the week in the summer holidays late July and August tend to be less busy. We want everybody to feel they can enjoy the space and have the chance to catch up with friends and family around the campfire during the evening, but we ask everyone to be considerate to the campers around them, keep any music at considerate levels and really quieten things down after 11.

Fantastic spot with great natural feel

Loved my stay. Weather was kind which helps, but I'm so glad I chose Primrose as I like the natural setting with good showers. Very relaxed about my 3 dogs wandering around with me. Great access directly to the forest Only shame was the Jurassic Pizza guy was a no show on the Friday and I'd been looking forward to that. But that wasn't the fault of the site. Christina very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Yes apologies for no pizza van this year - I've taken it off the descriptions now. Street Pizza in Wareham will deliver hand made Neapolitan Pizza to the field.

Excellent stay

Lovely friendly unspoilt natural site. Loved having a fire in the evening. Our granddaughters loved it. All facilities were well designed and spotless. The best showers ever with so much dry space to dry off and dress. Lovely friendly caring owner..

First time camping with young kids

First time camping with my two young children. Alongside a friend with two young children. Suits us well. Very clean campsite, easy to find. Can camp anywhere you like on the field. Great if you are going as a group as there isn't marked pitches. Good amount of people without being crowded. Hosts friendly and available whenever needed. Nice hot water. Bus in walking distance and was easy to find although slightly tricky if you have a pushchair as you need to walk down a small track, but we managed and was lovely to bus to Weymouth rather than drive.

Brilliant site lovely welcome

Lovely and clean site and the owner was very welcoming. The cleanliness was amazing considering they were shared portaloos. The showers were brilliant, better than a lot of sites I have stayed at. Excellent location for coast and lovely Wareham. Could not fault it.

Our stay

A family of 3 (9 year old) and a dog. Lots of space between other campers, toilets are constantly cleaned. A very relaxed atmosphere around the camp. We hiked to Wool which was mainly off road and was able to get a bus back. The hosts were always welcoming and helpful throughout. Would highly recommend.

A great campsite, lovely helpful owners. Nice hot showers and clean toilets. Great value for money. Would recommend.

Short break

Campsite was brilliant. Super friendly staff, spotlessly clean and great location for catching the bus to Swannage, Lulworth and Weymouth. We will be back.
