Fine for a 1 night stopover Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2026 Oban Holiday Park was perfect for our needs, a one night stopover between ferry crossings.
The site is close to the docks but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Our greeting was good. A friendly face after a stressful crossing.
Our only quibble was with the facilities. As well as being tired, their cleanliness needed attention.
Good site and service area was tidy
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2026 We would happily return to the site. The reception/ shop is clean and tidy plus well stocked . The staff member gave clear instruction to site layout, was friendly and respectful.
VW campervan touring VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2026 I'm sorry, very disappointing.
We booked our VW campervan in. We arrived at 5pm. I read arrivals to get there 2-6pm.. No one available. I tried to phone, no answer. Another guest showed me a box on the floor next to reception door, I hadn't seen it as another person was rummaging around in it when I initially tried to get in the reception door. It never occurred to me that I was supposed to get details out of the box, no one told me when the booking was confirmed. Communications error.
A piece of paper gave me options on where to park. Toilet block far too long to walk and it was very dark to get there as an unlit road way. The toilet block was cold and damp. Toilet door hanging on one hinge. Water on the floor.
We certainly won't be going there ever again.

Not great for rain Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2026 Sadly on a 12 night holiday to many different sites this was the worst one. It looks like money has been spent on glamping pods and hot tubs to the detriment of campers and MHs. This might not be the case, but that's how it looks.
The water is brown and off putting. It was very wet which on sloping grass wasn't good and has lead to boggy conditions.
It seems well staffed and they are friendly but the toilet block needs some TLC the floor has pools of water, even after cleaning has just taken place. Disappointing.
Probably a better site for the warm weather but location dictates! Hope management deem a facelift urgent for this site.
Very disappointing stay VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2026 I have just spent 2 weeks travelling through the Highlands and Outer Hebrides in a campervan and Oban campsite was the worst (and most expensive) I have stayed in on this trip.
Having stayed in some basic (but beautiful) campsites in Harris and Lewis, I was looking forward to a bit more luxury, and the listing and pricing suggested this was the place.
My booking confirmation said I was in grass electric pitch 3, but when I arrived no such pitch existed. Instead I was instructed to go to a field at the end of the site and pitch where I liked.
The field was very uneven with limited places to pitch due to extremely boggy ground with significant evidence of vehicles having been stuck. There were also limited functional electric points on the less boggy ground.
To top it all, having driven all day from Harris, and feeling very thirsty, I was shocked to find that the site had no drinking water and I would have to boil then wait for water to cool before I could have a drink!
I have contacted the park expressing my dissatisfaction and requesting a refund. I was offered a complimentary stay! I explained that I have no plans to return to Oban nor their site and again requested a refund.
Ok but could be better VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2026 Such a beautiful location and staff friendly on reception but let down by lack of cleanliness of toilets and washing up area. Two sinks were bunged up in the washing area and toilets weren’t ‘cleaned’ just quickly mopped out. Appreciate it’s a wet muddy time of year but things like wiping the cobwebs behind the toilet doors and mud in the entrance door to toilet that was there before and after the cleaners went in. I never leave negative reviews but just felt this lovely site was let down by lack of attention to public utility areas.
Scenic spot Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Site set in a stunning location with views over the water from high up. But, the site is let down by unkempt facilities. They felt worn out and needed cleaning. Rubbish bins full and not emptied over our 2 day stay.
Would have expected warning of single track with passing places approach. Feel more attention was being paid to lodges.

Disappointing Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 It would have been nice if reception had been open at 17:30 when we arrived. We had to guess which was our pitch. There was no toilet paper in two out of three toilet cubicles and the bins were overflowing.

Unfortunately the water is not drinkable and the toilet/shower block is quite dated and was dirty whenever I used it.
Poorest site so far Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2026 The plot was very muddy even though we were supposed to be on hardstanding.
The toilet block was dirty and wet and cold. Needs to be more regularly maintained. The waste bins were overflowing and clearly hadn't been emptied for some time. No accessible toilet/shower.
Poor site for touring caravans Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2026 Firstly the road is very narrow to get to the site. We paid for a hard standing pitch but we couldn't put up our awning as it was not fully hard standing mud!
The toilets were not cleaned regularly and showers hardly drained. Bins all overflowing.

Beautiful views, very spacious park with a cute little shop, reception staff are so kind and helpful, even have a little basket of biscuits for your dog on the desk, very dog friendly, make sure you bring water as site water is from the hills and unsuitable for drinking but love that it’s all naturally sourced. We originally booked 2 nights but woke up not wanting to leave so have booked a third. Highly recommend! Will be back x
Never again Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We arrived before 18.00 and even tried to call and give our ETA. Phone was not answered.
There was no electricity available on grass even though we paid for it. A man with a tesla was very aggressive as we plugged in our camper. It was his electricity place. Toilets and showers were very dirty. Toilet rolls in toilets and flushing. We do not come back.

Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Wonderful location, fantastic staff, all really friendly and helpful. One particular gentleman helped us put up our awning as we had all the gear and no idea.
The toilet block could do with a little more love and more time on the cleaning, that said, it would not stop us returning again.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 First time camping ever, reception staff were lovely and helpful, lovely location found a perfect spot to pitch our tent. Also asked for a slight extension to our check out, as we didn’t know how easy it would be to dismantle our tent, which was granted with no hesitation. Facilities are basic, but the shop had a nice small selection of everything and coffee to help in the morning! Will definitely be back for a longer stay.
