Highly reccomend this spot. Only a 10 minute walk into town through the rugby pitch, no need to walk along the road. Excellent cycling over to Newcastleton or Thomas Telford's birth place. Ideal for those who value peaceful countryside.

Small Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2026

Really well-maintained site, a pretty backdrop, and convenient location to the town and a breakfast cafe around the corner. Facilities compact but excellent - best campsite shower I’ve had in a long time. Great value; would highly recommend.

Motorhome - Hardstanding EcoGrid Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2026

Booked purely as it was advertised as having a laundry (I'd been out for two months) which consisted of one small capacity domestic Beko washing machine. A wash took over two hours so only used once, with no dryer or drying area, everything had to be spread around my pitch (embarrassing), luckily I had dryer on board and it was a sunny day. The site even though it was only half full felt very on top of each other. Only two loos and showers (that were immaculate) so good job it wasn't busy. A lot of dogs on site so a lot of barking (OK if you're into dogs). Worst of all was the wooden clackety bridge that sounded like a cannon being fired every time someone drove over it (Rugby practice that evening, so it went on a bit). Was going to stay an extra night but decided against it, only £20 a night but only half full in August speaks plenty.

Perfect camping experience.

Such a great campsite at the local rugby club in Langolm. Great location with plenty of hikes and a quaint town to explore. Facilities are top notch. Will be returning with my son.

Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2026

Enjoyed our stay, located easy walking to the town with access avoiding the A7. Some nice cafes, pubs average. Nice walking around site, didn't use the car at all. Site itself was good, pitches very flat (just off the rugby pitch), but maybe just a bit on the small site for our large tent. Luckily nobody on one side of us, so space for car. Toilet block great, 3 years old (the cleaner told us), lovely showers. Kept clean, bit busier when the van club turned up towards the weekend. Like that it's community driven.

Quite a lot of pitches in a small space. Wouldn't have been a problem if the 10pm 'quiet rule' had been respected. Noise went on until approx 1am which bothered us a bit. No-one on site to enforce anything. On a positive, the toilet and shower facilities are spotless and the chap cleaning this morning was really friendly.

Motorhome - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Jul 2026

Booked here last minute due a change in schedule. Handy spot, well kept, good price, good communication, hot showers. Things to know: filling up water for a motorhome needs to be done by the loo block. There is no drive over grey water disposal. Lots of midges due to being near water so if you want to sit out in the evening - be prepared. Ideally there would a proper drain away at the water tap - in the hot weather there were kids using it to wash themselves down causing a build up of excess water. I would stay here again.

Site's response

Hi, thank you for the review and we look forwarding to hosting you again. Hopefully, these little pieces of information will help on your next stay. Each of the 3 water points within the site have access to a tap which other guests use to refill their motorhomes. Should the clear hose be attached (used to assist in filling water containers etc) then turn the blue butterfly clip anti clockwise to slacken it off and remove the hose (no requirement to put it back on, we will do that when we are on site). Then attach your hose to the tap with your relevant connector. If the connections don't fit, then as you quite rightly pointed out, there is an access point outside the toilet block, where the bike wash/repair stations has further connections available. Regarding midges, the campsites website has some very useful information, including a link to the Scottish Midge Forecast Map, which can be very handy. https://www.campsites.co.uk/guides/camping-for-beginners/how-to-avoid-insects-while-camping We hope this helps!
