Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2026

Not quite as described We booked this site as a simple base for exploring, and thankfully, that's exactly what it ended up being — because the actual campsite experience was nowhere near what was described. Before arriving, we spoke to a staff member who was genuinely helpful. He told us we could park our truck next to the tent and confirmed campfires were allowed. Great. Clear. Sorted. Except, on arrival, the man greeting us immediately called the staff member we'd spoken to "a liar". His words, not ours. Apparently parking next to your tent is "something you can't do", and campfires are also "not allowed". We weren't even planning a fire — we'd only lit the BBQ — yet he still came over to tell us off. Mixed information doesn't even cover it. Facilities were another issue. Toilets and showers were filthy, and there was no toilet roll anywhere. Not ideal when you're paying for a site that claims to offer clean amenities. Like we said, it served as a base for exploring, but the experience didn't match the description, and the person you speak to on the phone is clearly not the person you end up dealing with. The inconsistency alone makes it hard to recommend.

Lovely location nice hosts

Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Woodland PitchesSep 2026

We stayed for two nights with several dogs. The location is stunning. Very friendly owners who were relaxed, approachable and accommodating. Several different areas for you to park up or set up. Although we didn’t use all of the facilities or restaurant it has plenty on site. We would love to visit again.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesSep 2026

Have stayed 4 or 5 times now. Find the place a very relaxing spot. Easy going folks. Always found the toilets clean enough. They are always working to improve the site as well for the future. I like it and will be back

For the price we paid, I wasn't pleased

This is the most expensive site we have stayed on and it didn't live up to expectations - disappointed.

Ok for one night stopover

Ok for one night, free tea and coffee available, meals available should you need one but you have to pay for these, free continental breakfast between 7am and 9.30am and I found the staff to be friendly.

Ok

Bell Tent - Bell Tents (5m, Dog Friendly)Aug 2026

This is a nice campsite suitable for dogs and kids. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bell tents are not worth it though, you’re basically calling a round tent a bell tent and selling it as glamping. The fact you’re not allowed fires in the “bell tent” area also makes it a bit depressing at night. The food is not worth it, take your own food or order a Chinese from the village.

Brilliant

Absolutely fantastic stay, everyone was very helpful and friendly. Facilities are well kept and clean but be prepared for toilet and shower queues as there a limited amount.

Bell Tent - Bell Tents (5m, Dog Friendly)Jul 2026

Absolutely loved it! First time taking our 3 yr old ‘glamping’ and she loved it too! Nice and clean, clean bell tent with clean fresh bedding and pillows, we had two double airbeds in our tent which were really comfy! plenty of toilets and showers, a lounge where you can charge your phone, a clubhouse with complimentary tea, coffee and juice 24 hours, breakfast was basic but fresh cereal, croissants, toast and crumpets with plenty of condiments what I will say is take extra blankets/duvet and warm pyjamas for night time especially for the littles as even in summer it can get really cold in the tents luckily we’ve been before so knew to take extra Staff were really helpful and pleasant even when they were busy nothing was too much trouble All in all a 10 out of 10 and will be booking another wee weekend soon 😊

Nice view

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

The only tiny thing we could fault was the lack of recycling. The no prophet ethics of the site to provide homes for others was admirable . Quiet ,clean with wonderful views and we had amazing weather too .Even though we didn’t go for the free breakfast and soft drinks we thought it was a very generous perk . Thank you for a lovely stay.

Thank you!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

What a lovely place, everything I would look for in a single night stop. Very easy to find without being on a busy road. Stunning view to wake up to. Everything was set out easily (water, shower, telephone charging, chemical waste). A warm welcome and free tea and coffee much appreciated. Thank you so much. I will be back

Unusual site in a lovey valley

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

WE were visiting family and the site was in an ideal location for us as theuy live in Bearsden. It offers a range of options for all travellers whether B and B and dinner to back packers tents. Very peaceful countryside around too!

Nice but not clean

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJun 2026

The welcome from a staff member was rather mediocre. The location is top-notch though, we had a spot with a beautiful view of the hills. Breakfast is included, but don't expect too much: cereal, coffee or tea, and bread with sweet spreads. Unfortunately, the hygiene left a lot to be desired; the showers and toilet were dirty, and the breakfast area wasn't really clean either. Showering and using the toilet in the same space is also inconvenient, especially since the toilet gets wet while showering. All in all, a beautiful place to stay, but cleanliness was hard to come by.

Wouldn't stay again

Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Woodland PitchesJun 2026

Wouldn't choose to stay here again and would not recommend. We booked as a half way stop home after the NC500 and wish we hadn't bothered. The pictures make this place look amazing, and for £40 a night on a non electric pitch, I expected more. Staff were friendly but they looked scruffy and had dirty clothes on. Toilets were dirty and unhygienic and didn't look like they'd been cleaned in days. The food was overpriced and looked and tasted like freezer food. To make it worse, we realised there was a free area for van lifers to park up and stay that everyone else subsidies the free stay they get! Why should I pay extra for my stay so someone else can stay for free? If they choose to live in a van, they should fund it themselves. If this is something they offer, they need to be more clear about it so people understand what they are paying for. Very disappointed with our stay.

Eccentric lovely campsite

Extremely helpful staff and reception. On site amenities were in the main house were great, tea and coffee, continental breakfast included. Evening cafe with great food Lots of different types of accommodation available from guest rooms, Shepard’s huts, caravan and camping pitches. Well maintained grounds.

Fab site, great facilities + lovely views.

Really lovely place to stay, the staff were welcoming and gave me the best view of the mountains. If I’d have known it would be this nice I would’ve booked a couple more nights. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesMay 2026

First impression was a bit disappointing. The owner was a lovely man and his dog had the best manners ever and was adorable.. We paid £40 with no electric but others paid £20 a night. Seems we subsidise the van lifers. The place is ok but not what we expected. Give it a go and make your own mind up.

We had never been in this area before. Lovely place and very friendly people. If anything maybe some more toilet facilities especially for the amount of people that were there this weekend. But other than that really enjoyed our stay. Just what we needed

Medium Tent - Non Electric Wild Camping PitchesMay 2026

absolutely fantastic stay, loved everything about it, all staff were friendly and very accommodating. Cleanliness of the facilities was spot on despite the amount of visitors over a very busy bank holiday weekend. The fact they provide a free continental breakfast is fantastic plus free coffee and tea facilities all day long Loved that we could have our campfire going, we were only asked once if we had a heat protection mat for the grass and of course we did have. The views from the campsite are incredible. Already planning our next stay.... Sincerely....David and Claire

We stopped en route from London to Oban. The campsite is well located and easy to find. We were warmly welcomed and show all the facilities. We were able to get an evening meal from a small but lovely menu. The showers and toilets were clean with piping hot water. A small continental creamiest was included. The site is ideal for walkers and cyclists, providing a range of accommodation choices. Would definitely go again to explore more and would recommend

Very pleasant stay with fantastic view

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesApr 2026

Shower block could have been cleaner but adequate hot water. Free continental breakfast which as good but if you went later jn the morning there was no jam or bread left and no staff around to replenish. However staff were pleasant and helpful wheb around.
