Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2024

This is our second time of camping, we asked for a quiet pitch as our child struggles with noise and I realise camping is different for different people. They listened and we got a lovely little pitch while the livelier people were on a different side, so they were happy too. We could not believe it was so quiet during the day and after 10pm. Quiet time is 10pm - 8am and yes, people naturally abide by this which is refreshing. Even early mornings, people did not surface until 8am onwards. Campers toilets have been recently refurbished, females have 4 toilets, 4 sinks and 2 showers. Men's have 3 toilets, urinals and 2 showers. Same for tourers. Has a games room, has a pool table, small sit down Pac-Man type thing which was 20p a game. Also has table football which I think was about £1, although not sure. Also a TV and sofa. Tue and Thur 5-8pm, The Dig-In takeaway truck comes and for a family it works out around £20 for dinner. The couple that run it are lovely, so kind and able to help. Yes, we were told to bring a certain length EHU lead, we forgot and ours was short, but we hired one for £5. Also, accidentally bought a cork wine bottle and no opener, they leant me one to bring back when I went to purchase one. Pitches a fair size, enough for a car and a good size tent. Has a large play area with swings and a couple of rotary lines. Two chest freezers for freezing ice blocks, launderette machines and a modern washing up area, although it has a small step and I did see a person in a wheelchair struggle to enter. Other than that, all seemed level entry. Has a small shop but seems to sell everything you need, we have been to C&CC sites where the shops don't even sell milk! So here was very refreshing. Near Coverack beach which is a shingle and sand beach, I didn't see any waves, water was aqua blue and clear. Families swimming in a shallow bay, SUP and inflatables. So inviting! Apparently takes about 20 minutes downhill to walk to (more on the way back as uphill). We drove it - honesty box car park in two parts, the larger of which has an approach on a slope which would make it tricky for people with limited abilities. Would totally book here again, about a 30 minute drive to Hayle, 18 minutes to a Sainsbury's, local pubs, 25 minutes to Falmouth.

Site's response

Thank you for staying with us again at Little Trevothan and for taking the time to write this lovely review. We are always happy to accommodate guests requests where possible, and are pleased to have been able to help you. Quiet time is always monitored, especially in the High Season where children are often in bed early (and some adults too!) At busy times we do keep our shop stocked with as much as we can in the small space - milk and Tribute ale are probably our best sales! Thank you for mentioning the facilities on our park, and also in the lovely village of Coverack and beyond. We hope you will visit us again.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2024

Our first time in Cornwall, we were met with a warm welcome in Reception by the owner of the site. He showed us to our pitch, all the pitches are really well kept. We had a walk around the site, everything is kept in great condition, from the toilet/shower blocks, to the washing up facilities, to the play area. This is a very quiet location and quite a walk down to the beach, not one you would want to do if you're taking things with you. The owner of the site was informative about local walks and had maps for you to follow. The local hidden sculpture park is worth the walk. We had torrential rain and the pitch started to flood, we let them know and they were straight out digging a trench to release the water away from our awning, amazing service in the horrible weather conditions.

Site's response

Thank you for staying with us at Little Trevothan and for your lovely review. We always have things crossed for good weather, but are pleased we were able to help you on your pitch when needed. We hope you will visit us again. From all the team.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesMay 2024

Depending on what you're going for, in the middle of nowhere but lovely and quiet. Walking distance to Coverack. Steep walk back but worth it. Lovely clean, well looked after site. We were on pitch T24 and had no TV signal or Wi-Fi.

Site's response

Thanks for your review and for staying with us at Little Trevothan, and we hope you will visit again. We love that you found our site peaceful and well looked after. We have cut back some branches on T24 and around this morning so wi-fi is now connecting and that should improve tv reception as well. Guests - please do let us know of any problems whilst you are with us, normally these can be rectified quickly.

Lovely site, worth a visit

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2023

You do need to follow the route advice given or you will have big problems. Lovely owners, nothing too much trouble. Clean and tidy. Our grass area was a little soggy but it was a very very wet weekend. Highly recommend. The facilities were brilliant. Beautiful area.

Site's response

Thank you for staying with us and for your kind review. We do send out driving directions so guests can avoid those little narrower lanes we have in Cornwall. Glad they worked for you! Hope to see you again.

Smashing site, very well kept and clean

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2023

Excellently kept grounds, with a closed of dog run/play area. Very peaceful stay. Just over a mile walk down to the coast (Coverack I believe) where you'll find a chip shop and a bar or 2. Great place for a stop.

Site's response

Thank you for stopping over with us and for your review. We hope to see you again.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2023

Highly recommend this campsite. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Campsite itself is very clean and tidy, toilet and showers were clean, most importantly it is an excellent campsite for children as there is park and a games room. 5* all the way. We will be definitely going back in future.

Site's response

Thank you for your lovely review and for choosing to stay with us at Little Trevothan. It is always lovely to hear that children enjoy their stay here as well with our large playing field and adventure playground, and games room. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesSep 2023

Quiet pitch, sociable neighbours. Facilities adequate for caravan, but no waste water drop-off point for a campervan. The showers and toilets are clean and tidy, although the shower curtains have seen better days. Electric hook up in the next field, but no hardship.

Site's response

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. I am sorry you weren't directed to our wastewater point on the park next to the toilet and shower block, as we usually point this out on the site map on arrival. We plan to cut the lower branches of the hedging between pitches to allow easier access to the neighbouring hook-up point, thank you for mentioning.
