Best place to stay!
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 This place is truly amazing! It's immaculately clean and tidy, the pitches were huge, and flat. The staff here are the best you will ever find at a family holiday park, I've stayed on hundreds, trust me, the staff here actually care about your stay! They're friendly, polite, smart, and you can tell they truly love their jobs- well done. Thank you all for a truly amazing family holiday. We are 1000% returning, because it really was 10 out of ten for everything! Completely perfect from the moment we arrived, we absolutely loved it!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Had a brilliant stay at Monkey Tree Holiday Park.
The weather was rubbish but can't be helped! My only comment would be the older toilet block which was closest to our pitch became dirty very quickly daily, and the flushes weren't great on either toilet.
Other than that, all the staff were lovely, especially the maintenance team who helped with a problem on our van! The kids entertainment was brilliant, as well as the parks and arcades, the whole site is very well maintained and we felt very safe there and allowing our kids to play freely

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Well maintained, clean campsite with good facilities.
Small playgrounds scattered around the site for the little ones, a big one in the main area, football/basketball pitch. Lovely, clean swimming pool.

Enjoyed our stay
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 Enjoyed our stay, campsite nice and clean, food was good in the club. Entertainment was always good, enjoyed the magician and the comedian.
The only thing that puzzled me was that I booked an electric serviced pitch, which in our experience, usually includes water on the pitch, but the pitch we were put on only had electricity. Not really a problem, but if advertised as serviced pitches, we thought that this would normally include water?
Unfortunately, the weather was rubbish so we left a day early to beat the nightmare Friday traffic, nothing to do with Monkey Tree.

Family holiday
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Great location to explore Cornwall!
We had a lovely stay and despite the reviews, the facilities were great and always had regular cleaners in there!
Outdoor pool is a bit cold for young ones.

Pleasant Small Tent - Premium Electric Grass and Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2023 The campsite is very pleasant with everything you need.
My only criticism is that as soon as you enter the site, you lose all touch with the outside world there is, it doesn't matter if you have 4g and signal on your phone, you don't get any service. I finally got a telephone call from the site when I left, which to be fair is not good. If you want to purchase the site Wi-Fi, I felt it was an unreasonable price and you don't need this when you are currently paying for your mobile phone service.

Fabulous holiday
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 It was our first time staying here and it didn’t disappoint! Wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy all the great things that are offered here!! Will definitely stay here again! It’s also in an amazing location, surrounded by fabulous beaches!

Fantastic campsite
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Fabulous location and extremely well kept campsite, very clean everywhere
Showers were cleaned throughout the day/early evening (perfect temperature & powerful). Security staff were brilliant. Supermarket is handy. Great facilities, parks, golf, swimming pool , arcades, loads to do. If the weather is good in the evening they have inflatables out for the kids.
Fantastic evening entertainment every night for the kids, staff are excellent with dance routines, and competitions, decent prices for the kids and medals given out. Kids and adult bingo (we won £350 on our last night!). Daytime kids clubs are brilliant, same staff as the kids disco so children get used to their faces, they have a lot of time for the children, absolutely lovely friendly people and full of energy.
All campers are respectful to each other zero tolerance on noise. Local beaches amazing and worth a trip out.
We'll definitely return next year! Thanks Monkey Tree!! :-)

We had a great time at Monkey Tree this summer
Large Tent - Premium Electric Grass and Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2023 We have always wanted to go to Newquay, Fistral beach and Perranporth. We read the reviews and Monkey Tree and it didn't disappoint.
The facilities were great, the staff were all friendly and helpful, even the weather didn't put us off! It rained nearly everyday, but we still had a great family holiday. So much so as we left, we booked our 2024 holiday, for a few extra days as well!
Thank you to all the staff for a great holiday and for helping us make some great family memories. See you in 12 months!

Could be better Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 Appreciate that this summer hasn't been great for the weather, but the pitches were poor and the service matched that.
We stayed at pitch 001, which was a tiny pitch next to the bin and right behind the club house and outdoor entertainment venue. The pitch was effectively a churned up puddle. We asked if we could be moved and were offered 3 alternative pitches. We chose one after checking it and started to pitch, but then got told by the same guy we had to move, so had no choice but to go back to the puddle.
The only positives were the cleaning team who kept the toilets clean and tidy and the outdoor pool was nice. Apart from that, everything else was poor. Definitely won't be returning.

Nice site but very noisy at night Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 We had a nice pitch, but it was a little awkward to park the car with how the hedgerows are planted (348). Also, the water access was on our pitch which limited where we could put up the tent.
The facilities are all good, although the shower cubicles are a little tight on space, especially if you have a small child with you. The cleaners were always working regularly, making sure they're all clean.
The swimming pool is good and our boys loved it, although the coffee bar in there wasn't open, which would have been nice. Entertainment from what we saw was okay, some good singers/bands, but it was too loud for our children. It's quite a loud campsite in general, which is fine, but not really when you've got a lot of children and intoxicated people wondering around until 1am. There doesn't seem to be any security enforcing the 'no loud noise' policy after 10pm around the campsite.
I doubt we would book again, but if I did, we would ask for a quieter pitch further away from the facilities. My other half is not really a camper and he was looking for other places to stay on day 1. Another family next to us left after staying for just one night because of the noise. On a positive note, it's a good location just a short drive from Newquay, Perranporth and St Agnes which are all worth a visit. We had a few rainy days, so also went to The Eden project about 40 minutes away.
My recommendation would be if you book, buy ear plugs!

Beautiful setting
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 What a beautiful place to visit and when the sun came out it was like being abroad with the sun loungers around the amazing pool. (Deep enough to swim in). For younger children the outside play area and soft play was great and the entertainment staff were very fun and sweet with them. The outside bar was warm despite the cold weather and entertaining for families. Ideal location for many beaches just 10 minutes away. Do the pirate golf in Newquay if you really want to laugh.
A few areas to improve: Sell magazines and newspapers in the shop as the local shop is far away, a few sofas in the main bar area to relax in would be great for when the weather is too cold for outside the swimming pool, (maybe get rid of the extra 2p machines inside the bar as there are plenty in the arcade), a menu for drinks would be helpful, (only 1 cocktail available) and more training for some of the bar staff. An extra pool table would be good for the older children. Wi-Fi not great.

Stunning park

Lots to do for all the family and the food was brilliant. Shop well stocked and the pool was lovely.
Facilities were being constantly cleaned.
But where the park was so busy, they were constantly grimy, and I think more toilets and showers are needed.

Lovely campsite, great for small children
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 Lovely week's stay at this large campsite, perfect for children as there's lots to do there.
Clean and tidy and beautifully displayed with flowers. Has a great dog walking area around the park which is kept clean and tidy too. Close to Newquay and other beaches. Only slight annoyance was that you can't drink alcohol round the pool (which was understandable but would have been nice) and that it's credit card only in most areas.
Overall, lovely place and would stay here again 👍🏼😊

Not so great stay Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 It was a good stay but we were put in a pitch that is 10 minutes from the amenities. I have to take the car or the stroller to get there. The prices are super high in the supermarket, the toilets and showers were never clean when I used them. The only good part was the pool and the games club.

We do have a category of pitches that might have been a bit better suited for yourself these are called our close to facilities electric grass pitches, I would suggest to book one of these if you were to visit us again.
We do find our prices to be inline with the local supermarkets, we work hard to ensure that prices are kept reasonable in our convenience store.
We are a little surprised to hear the toilets and showers weren't cleaned during your stay we have checked our logs and they have been signed to say they have been cleaned at least every 2 hours. We have struggled this year with our toilet and shower blocks with guests not being considerate of others. Reception are always happy to help if issues are reported to them.
We are pleased to hear you liked the other facilities we have on park. Thanks again for your feedback, we are always looking at ways in which we can improve.
Great family campsite
Large Tent - Super Fully Serviced Grass and Hardstanding Deluxe Pitches (Allocated Bathroom) Jul 2023 We spent 3 nights at this lovely campsite and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
From the pitch to the facilities, everything was very good. Our granddaughter loved the swimming pool, soft play and adventure playground and had a lot of fun in the arcade too.
We have been to a few different sites in Cornwall over the years and this for us was the best by far, and already look forward to going back.

Brilliant
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Absolutely brilliant. Was on my own with 4 little ones but felt so safe on site.
Toilets and showers were so, so clean. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Really close to beautiful beaches. The pool was amazing. We went in-between school holidays, so it was a free for all, which was brilliant. Kids have been abroad many times, yet they said this was the best holiday ever.

Wonderful place
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 We stayed here in June after booking last minute and can't wait to go back!
The location is brilliantly central. The site itself is beautiful and spacious. The shower blocks were spotless and the staff were there, all the time cleaning. The pool was amazing! Plenty of lifeguards and sun beds. Felt like being abroad! The club house had the usual entertainment but the food was lovely! The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. The park was perfect, couldn't keep the kids away! We played golf and that was great fun, honestly no faults.
Have recommended to all our friends and will certainly be booking again!

Has potential if you are a family
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Fantastic park and most staff were brilliant, especially the bar and entertainment staff.
When we arrived on the Sat everything was open but because a lot of people left on the Sunday, loads of things then shut - shops, crazy golf, and the club house. Real shame as it could be brilliant. If you go with kids then go in holiday time. If you are a couple like us, go to use it as a base or go if you like a busy kid filled place.

We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. In the quieter times of the year a couple of our facilities get closed, this being the pool bar, summer nights bar, pizzeria and chip shop. The pool, crazy golf and clubhouse all remain open, the shop is on shorter opening times during this time.
