Last day/night of our road trip
VW-Type Campervan - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Open Plan) May 2026 We had only booked a night here as it was our last day/night of our road trip of Devon and Cornwall and didn't want to have to drive for too long to get home the next day. The site is about 10min drive to Ilfracombe harbor. I noticed there were walks to a few beaches from the site too.
Warm welcome from the reception staff. Plenty of toilets/showers. When we arrived we were informed it was pizza night. This was very popular. We ordered 2 9" pizzas, reasonably priced, quick service and they were very nice homemade pizzas. Bar area looked busy and everyone was enjoying the nice weather. The old horse box that was the bar looked well stocked. We had booked a sea view pitch but were given a front row sea view pitch because the family who had it had left early, so that was nice. The view was beautiful 😍 Had a good night's sleep ready for our long journey back home. Site was very good for families and couples.

Large Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely site,all facilities excellent. One of the best sites we have been on having been camping for many years 1975 onwards. So pleased it will be on the cards for next year. Thanks to all.

Medium Tent - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Allocated) May 2026 Clean and welcoming. Plenty of showers and toilets. Lovely games area and a little shop. They cater for dinners with the exception of Thursdays and have a little bar. The staff are lovely and friendly. Internet is not the greatest depending on where you are pitched. Sea view is fantastic.

Large Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Great stay made better by the beautiful weather. Had a pitch near the toilet blocks and the play area so the kids were able to safely roam free. Will definitely be back!
Amazing
Medium Tent - Valley Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 We had the most amazing time. The site was welcoming, safe, clean, very well resourced and costs onsite were very reasonable. This helped promote an area for people to come together from all over the site and socialise. The different themed food nights were a great hit too. We are already wanting to book a return trip and we got home less than 24hrs ago.
A friendly family run campsite in a perfect location
Large Tent - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Allocated) May 2026 A friendly family run campsite with family members hands on. The facilities were very clean with plenty of shower rooms. The bar was very reasonably priced, if needing food, the food outlet is highly recommended. To top it off, the ocean pitch was superb and the location was ideal for coast walking and visiting lovely villages in the area.

Large Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Unfortunately, the site doesn't let people know that there is a wedding venue next door, so Friday, Saturday and Sunday are extremely loud with music and revellers next door that keep you awake at night, unless you are in the field that overlooks the bay. The site is also right on the road, so if you have a pitch that is near the facilities, prepare to be listening to both the wedding music and the motorbikes that use the road as a race track.
The site also didn't tell us when we arrived that there had been a landslide and there was no step access to the beach that the site sells itself on.
Overall, the site is well catered for children with lovely games areas and play equipment, the showers and toilets were generally always clean.

Large Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely campsite spotlessly clean, loved the bathrooms as you had everything you needed tiolet,shower and sink all in one plenty of room. Staff nothing to much trouble polite and friendly. Food on site Saturday we had pizza and Friday we had sweet and sour chicken both really good and great value for money. plenty of things to do not far from site and the views from the site are beautiful.

Very short walk to a local pub that serves good food. Well stocked on site site shop, friendly and helpful owners. Short walk to small harbour and lovely cafe, access to coastal path, approx 20 minute drive from Ilfracombe, Waterhouse Castle practically on the doorstep. Very large dog walking field on site

Motorhome - Valley Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 What a wonderful site. Clean facilities. Harbour and cafe very close by. Good dog walking area.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The pub next door is very good. Shame about the weather but no one can predict that. We will be back next year.
Wonderful Location
VW-Type Campervan - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Allocated) May 2026 Wonderful location either perched up on the cliff top with seas views or lower down sheltered by trees and hedges. It does get windy !! Careful tent campers. Really friendly helpful staff. Great, clean toilet and shower facilities on a beutifully kept site. Food truck, (Pizza was tasty), Bar Truck on site, a good Pub a few yard down a footpath. All I can highly recomend it.

We had an ocean view pitch with a brilliant view. The toilets are very good, cleaned regularly and close by, showers were clean and hot!
The pub just at the bottom of campsite is very convenient. I loved the converted trailer bar which serves cocktails! Just a shame the music was switched off to put the football on! 100% recommend!

We only stayed one night but will certainly return again and recommend to friends and family. Beautiful location and a great base to explore the surrounding countryside.

Facilities were incredible with great shower facilities everywhere in each block. Surrounding area is beautiful so a 100% from us.

Had everything you needed and was very well maintained. Kids play area was brilliant! My 7 and 5 year old loved it.
Pitch size was great! Very generous and private. Fab food served, friendly and helpful staff. Would 100% stay here again.
